I can't comment on that, as we were ignored. We were seen sitting outside, but it didn't seem to matter. Even when my companion entered the restaurant, she was ignored. We then left again...

I gave it 3 × 5 stars, there's nothing to add (except perhaps that it smells like horses almost everywhere, especially in the toilet).

Best restaurant. Everything was perfect.

The bacon pancake was quite soggy, not like I know it.

It's always an indescribable feeling of happiness when you come across restaurants where everything is almost perfect: -A hospitable operator couple -A kitchen crew that is second to none -Attentive, fast service -A fair price-performance ratio -Sparkling clean, attractive sanitary rooms -Nice ambience -A good drinks menu. However, I would like to highlight the consistently delicious dishes, 4 of which I have already tested and which I would all describe as top gastronomy. I have never eaten a better Düsseldorf mustard roast. Conclusion: A thumb for the palate.👍🏼 Summer outdoor dining is available next to the extensive stud farm, as well as a delightful cake menu at coffee time. The only downer: difficult access. My recommendation: get there via Reichswaldallee/corner of Am Bauenhaus (stop Hubertushain).

Es ist immer wieder ein unbeschreibliches Glücksgefühl, wenn man auf Gastronomiebetriebe trifft, bei denen alles nahezu perfekt ist: -Ein gastfreundschaftliches Betreiberpaar -Eine Küchencrew, die Ihresgleichen sucht -Aufmerksamer, schneller Service -Eine faires Preis-Leistungsverhältnis -Blitzblanke, ansprechende Sanitärräume -Schönes Ambiente -Eine gute Getränkekarte. Herausheben möchte ich allerdings die durchweg leckeren Gerichte, von denen ich jetzt bereits 4 getestet habe und die ich alle durchweg als Spitzengastronomie bezeichnen würde. Einen besseren Düsseldorfer Senfrostbraten aß ich noch nie. Fazit: Ein Daumen für den Gaumen.👍🏼 Sommerliche Außengastro neben dem weitläufigen Gestüt vorhanden, ebenso wie eine erfreuliche Kuchenkarte zur Kaffeezeit. Einziger Wermutstopfen: Schwierige Anfahrt. Meine Empfehlung: Über Reichswaldallee/ Ecke Am Bauenhaus (Haltestelle Hubertushain) anfahren.

Cozy location, delicious, rather rustic food and very authentic, friendly service, very large portions and fair prices. The only point of criticism is the very limited offer for vegetarians.

Finding this place was an adventure, as Google Maps led our car off-road into some barely-existent forest paths. We were lucky to get help from another couple who, funny enough, happened to be in the same situation. But hidden in the uncharted woods there was a real treasure! A very nice lady managed to sit us, although the place was already quite full. Food was a wonder! - incredibly tasty and brought fast. The home-like vibe of this place is absolutely heartwarming. A happy adventure followed by an impeccable dinner - what else could one wish for? 🥰

1/24/25 - We know the landlord of Gut Wolfsaap from his time at Gut Knittkuhle (until around 2011). We enjoyed eating there back then and also invited the family there for some celebrations (weddings, baptisms, school enrolments). After he moved to Gut Wolfsaap, we were unfortunately only there very rarely (because we were also moving away). So yesterday I finally went there again and it was like before: the menu was almost identical (both visually and in terms of content), the atmosphere was rustic and the dishes - just like before - were very tasty. I enjoyed eating the Fuhrmannspfanne over 20 years ago and it was just as delicious yesterday as it was back then. If I understood correctly, the same chef cooks there. It's rare to have this much consistency in the catering industry these days (partly because of the pandemic) and you can really appreciate that. We would be very, very happy to come back.

It was a brilliant goose meal. This delightful little inn is located a little off the beaten path in the Aaper Forest. Not only was the food great, everything was perfect. From the price to the friendly service and the nice get-together, we were able to enjoy a happy and great evening. We'll be back.

No idea what the food was like, we were 'not allowed' to eat. Without a reservation this wouldn't be possible. Which is basically not a problem if, on the one hand, you are informed about it beforehand (perhaps on the website???) and, on the other hand, the service employee at least reveals this information in a friendly manner. She left us standing in the entrance with a harsh but simple no to our question and disappeared. So there wasn't even a drink. That was very annoying after a medium bike ride.

Very nice café, very good food, but the service was a disaster. It was full and everyone was busy. However, the service left us after 15 minutes. Waiting time wasn't even acknowledged as a glance until new guests arrived at the next table and they relatively quickly held a menu in their hands. When we asked if we could get one, we only got the answer that she thought we were previous guests because the empty dishes were still there. After taking the order, the coffee came relatively quickly, the rest took a while to arrive. In the meantime we already had the food, but still no drinks. It was only when we asked that they finally arrived. When we wanted to pay we had to ask several times. The waitress herself didn't respond to calls and didn't even look in our direction. When we asked that we weren't satisfied, we were told: "It's because of the kitchen, it just takes a while. It's just full today." No apologies whatsoever! No apologies whatsoever; And it definitely wasn't the kitchen. The food was excellent and arrived relatively quickly after we ordered it. We're happy to wait a bit when it's full, but that was ignorant and arrogant.

Waren dort mit einem Kollegen verabredet, der schon öfters dort war und es empfohlen hat. Wir wurden NICHT enttäuscht. Schon der Empfang durch den Chrf war herzlich. Die Bedienung nett, höflich und kompetent. Das Essen, "Rheinischer Sauerbraten" und "Omlett mit Ziegenkäse", einsame Spitze und der Nachtisch "Eis mit heißen Kirschen" und "Schokokuchen" auch nicht zu verachten. Rundum zufrieden und haben wir Lokalität verlassen und kommen bestimmt wieder. Die Speisekarte hat noch einige Essen, gut bürgerlich, die noch probiert werden müssen.

We had an appointment there with a colleague who had been there several times and recommended it. We were NOT disappointed. The welcome from the Chrf was warm. The service was nice, polite and competent. The food, “Rheinischer Sauerbraten” and “Omlette with goat cheese”, was a standout and the dessert “Ice cream with hot cherries” and “Chocolate cake” was also not to be despised. Completely satisfied, we left the location and will definitely come back. The menu still has some dishes, good home-style, that still need to be tried.

Where it's delicious! Schnitzel Viennese style with fried potatoes, asparagus and hollandaise sauce - wonderful taste, generous portion, great service - friendly and attentive. You feel comfortable there and are pampered with food and drink.

It was very crowded for Saturday lunchtime. We didn't find a place. The staff smoked in the entrance area. The beer garden is near the dung heap. A breath of forest air. The audience, on the other hand, seemed more chic. We probably won't try again.

Great forest inn with a cozy, rustic atmosphere. The Düsseldorf mustard roast was excellent for me and the Alfredo pasta for my wife. The service is friendly and food and drinks are provided quickly. After paying and leaving the restaurant, we had a little chat in small talk format with the restaurant manager, who was also extremely nice, in front of the entrance area of ​​the restaurant. We had a very successful stop with our hiking group after our hike through the Aaper Forest - we had reserved for 15 people and were with 18 people - even though it was more than full, there was still a place for everyone. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly - excellent value for money - we would be happy to come back

Very friendly and courteous service, super tasty and freshly cooked food, large portions and a rustic atmosphere - what more could you want? We have always enjoyed being guests at the Waldhof Gut Wolfsaap with Ede and his team for years. Personally, I can recommend the prawn pan with spaghetti to everyone, which I order every time. Great taste. Nice location. Lovely team. Definitely worth a visit.

We met here for lunch for a small birthday party with 9 people. All guests were extremely enthusiastic about the friendly and very personal atmosphere. The food was the best I have enjoyed in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area in a long time. The goose was excellent, the sauerbraten like mother's, the rump steak was on point and the Fuhrmann's pan was simply delicious. I feel the need to express this here. The only small limitation was the low room temperature. So just dress warmly in the cold season. I'm still excited.

Wir waren heute nach einer Wanderung zum ersten Mal hier und überrascht wie gut das Restaurant schon um 12:08 Uhr war obwohl gerade erst aufgemacht. Die Bedienungen waren super freundlich. Schnell sind die Getränke gekommen und dann auch das Essen. Vorgewärmte Teller und ein großer leckerer Speckpfannekuchen rundeten den Besuch ab. Am Wochenende sollte man reservieren. Tolles Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Gerne wieder.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Gut Wolfsaap. Haben uns rundherum wohl gefühlt. Gemütliches Ambiente eines Reiterhofes. Das Essen war sehr lecker, großzügige Portionen schön angerichtet. In den Sommermonaten sollte man reservieren, wenn man im Biergarten sitzen möchte. Das Team rund um den schlagfertigen Wirt ist sehr freundlich und alle sind für die Gäste fleißig am herumwirbeln.

Kenne die Inhaber und das Restaurant seit ca. 8 Jahren...gehe hier immer wieder gerne hin....meiner Meinung nach ist der Speckpfannekuchen und das Carpaccio sensationell...aber eigentlich ist alles sehr gut. Essen mit Genuss und ohne Teue, weil man vorher und nachher einen kleinen Waldlauf machen kann, um die Kalorien zu verarbeiten...geht aber natürlich auch gut ohne! Nicht zu vergessen ist wegen dem guten Essen der Koch....der ist einfach Gold wert.

Ich weiß nicht wo ich anfangen soll, alles einfach super.

Eine wirklich freundlich/herzliche Atmosphäre im Lokal und Wirtsgarten. Die Speisen sind vom Senfkrustenbraten bis zu den Spaghetti mit Gambas, bzw. ausgesuchten Salaten, vorzüglich präsentiert, schmackhaft und sehr groß. Das Getränkeangebot entsprach meinen Vorstellungen von einem guten Abendrestaurant.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, sehr gutes Essen. Man isst halt neben einem Pferdestall und das riecht man. Uns hat es nicht gestört.

Sehr leckeres Essen in guten Portionen. Der Service und das Essen brauchte teilweise etwas länger. Bedienung war aber immer sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Anfahrt über den Güteraaper Weg war sehr holprig. Lieber über Lohhofwegeg fahren.

Gemütliches Lokal mit gutem Essen.

Ein uriger kleiner Gasthof, versteckt im tiefen Aaper Wald zwischen Pferdeställen, Mistgabeln und Koppeln. Das Essen war köstlich, gut bürgerlich und die Portionen absolut ausreichend. Ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Für Kinder gibt es extra kleine Portionen und Hunde sind herzlich willkommen. Nach dem leckeren Essen lädt der Wald zum Spazieren ein.

Wir sind auf Empfehlung hierher gekommen und gehen seitdem regelmäßig hier essen. Das lokal ist klein aber fein und liegt etwas versteckt, in der Nähe des Segelflugplatz‘s. Service: Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und ist bemüht auch ohne Reservierung die Kunden bestmöglichst zu bedienen. Das gelingt, trotz der hohen Frequentierung, die sich an schönen Tagen durchaus ergibt. Nachdem man hier einmal zu Gast war, ist es aus durchaus nachvollziehbar. Essen: Das Essen ist absolut super. Geschmacklich und qualitativ top. Was man vor allem beim Fleisch und dessen Zubereitung merkt. Preis-Leistung ist mehr als überragend. Die Portionen sind wirklich groß und kaum zu bewältigen. Hier muss niemand hungrig nachhause gehen. Lokation: Das Lokal ist ziemlich, es empfiehlt sich vorab anzurufen und zu reservieren, das es wirklich immer sehr gut besucht ist. Die Lage lädt gradezu zum Spazieren ein.

Senfrostbraten und Sauerbraten waren so gut zubereitet, dass nichts auf dem Teller übrig blieb - wirklich gut gekocht. Der Sauerbraten war der beste, den ich bisher in Düsseldorf gegessen habe. Personal ist super nett, das Restaurant klein & gemütlich. Eine tolle familiäre Atmosphäre. 5 Sterne

Wunderschön gelegen und wirklich gute Küche.

Nett und unkompliziert. Eher deftige Hausmannskost. Pfannkuchen sind gut und riesig. Gans ganz lecker, aber nicht überragend und mit 35 Euro nicht gerade günstig. Vorsicht: Das Navi führt einen womöglich in den Wald in eine Sackgasse. Vorher reservieren und fragen, welche ADRESSE man ins Navi eingeben sollte.

Leider wirkte der Service an einem Sonntag Nachmittag überfordert. Unser Kuchen war lecker, allerdings mussten wir fast 30 Minuten darauf warten.. Im Hintergrund klingelte das Telefon in Dauerschleife, was leider nicht grade zu einem besseren Eindruck verholfen hat

Vielleicht hatten wir uns etwas mehr Ambiente, Gemütlichkeit und Flair von einem Reiter- und Gutshof erwartet. Dazu kam schlechtes Wetter. Pferdemiste direkt vor dem Eingang. Und sehr unangenehm, wenn man dort an der Tür sitzt: Gestank aus den Toiletten

Wunderbares Essen, frisch zubereitet und zuvorkommender Service. Auch größere Gruppen bis ca. 10 Personen finden gut an einem Tisch Platz. Man sollte dringend reservieren sonst könnte es eng werden.

Full Stars und wohl verdient. Wir waren mit der Familie zum erstmal dort und die Hütte war voll. Trotzdem hat man uns einen Tisch organisiert, obwohl alles ausgebucht war. Die Kellnerin, Barchef (Besitzer) waren in dem Stress sehr freundlich und bodenständig. Man bekommt traditionelle Hausmannskost. Es wird alles frisch gemacht und die Portionen sind mehr als genug. Wir hatten das Steak mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat, hausgemachter Schnitzel, Steinpilze mit Pommes und Bratkartoffeln, und Beilagen. Alles war 1A. Besser kann man das nicht machen. Die Qualität spricht für sich. Ich war so angetan, dass ich nochmal mir den Weg mache und dort zu speisen. Publikum ist sehr nett. Man kann mit seinem Nachbartisch kleine plaudernden halten. Die Kellnerinnen und der Besitzer kommen ab und zu an den Tisch und unterhalten sich mit den Gästen. Service klassisch, traditionell und sehr herzlich. Man muss ein kleiner Waldweg gehen (fahren) und dann kann man wirklich einen wunderschönen Tag neben einem Pferdestall auf einem sauberen Bauernhof verbringen. Für ein Schnitzel mit Steinpilze und Sauce, dazu Bratkartoffeln haben wir 22,50 € gezahlt. Preis ist etwas hoch, aber wenn man die Portionen und die Qualität bekommt, ist alles mehr als angemessen. Besonders lecker fand ich die Bratkartoffeln. Ohne zu übertreiben, die knackigen und leckeren Bratkartoffeln, die ich je gegessen habe! Manko: wir müssten knapp eine Stunde auf das Essen warten, aber man hatte uns das vorher gesagt, weil wir auch selber nicht reserviert hatten. Das haben wir sehr gerne im Kauf genommen. Das Warten lohnt sich definitiv. Daher ist es auch kein Manko, sondern etwas monieren auf einem sehr sehr hohen Niveau ;-) Fazit: Ein kleiner aber sehr idyllischer Restaurant, dass 1A Hausmannskost bietet. Alles wird frisch und in bester Qualität zubereitet. Ich hatte auch die Möglichkeiten, die Küche und dem Koch beim Zubereiten zuzusehen. Wirklich tolle Arbeit. Ein großes Lob an den Koch und alle, die täglich vor Ort arbeiten. Wenn man auf Hausmannskost steht und eine TOP 1A Qualität essen möchte, ist dieser Lokalität ein 5 Sterne Besuch wert. Wir kommen definitiv nochmal wieder. Danke für den tollen Tag.
