The BRONX BAR in Düsseldorf

We were there for lunch; the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We went back in the evening for a nightcap, and it was great again.

It was my first time here, and unfortunately, the food was nothing special. I had the Caesar salad, and the supposed Caesar dressing tasted like pure, unseasoned mayo. It made the salad inedible. One of my companions tried some of it and almost spat it out. When I told the server while clearing the table, he said he'd pass the information on. And that was it; I received no apology, no comment, or anything else.

One of the best pulled beef burger... ever. Highly recommend.

January 25: Great menu, excellent food. Perfectly cooked steak. Very attentive, friendly service. SEPTEMBER 25: I have to add, unfortunately, that I didn't have such a great experience today. The small rump steak was cooked well instead of medium rare (- -.) I told the waiter, and he brought a new one. This one was only 5 mm thin in the middle in places and therefore cooked more thoroughly. Furthermore, it probably didn't correspond to the weight stated on the menu. There was also endless arugula on top of the steak (what's that doing on a steak???). I asked again and was told to order something else. I ordered a carpaccio, but it took a good 15-20 minutes, so everyone at the table had already finished eating by the time it arrived. The plate was warm, but the carpaccio in the middle of the plate was still almost frozen. Neither was great. Suggestion for improvement: A 180-gram rump steak, which is very thin, can't be cooked medium-rare. Perhaps the menu should add that the small steak can only be served medium, and that those who prefer a lower degree of doneness should please order the large steak. This saves guests hassle and the restaurant money for overcooked steaks that no one wants to eat. The appetizer plate, however, was again highly recommended.

The service and the environment are really good. The food was nice. I had a burger and it was good, but for the price I was expecting better quality of meat. It was just regular quality of meat, but with a very nice mix of flavors for the burger. The size of the dishes is super fine, enough food to be full after having a meal.

It was really great, the tuna steak was fantastic and the drinks were good. Our server, Medi, was extremely accommodating and the service was excellent.

Super delicious, and especially the truffle cheese burger 🍔 that was an 11/10!! A reservation is recommended at dinner time, as it can get crowded. A wide selection of drinks is also available, including non-alcoholic cocktails and beers, and vegan food 🌱 is also available 👍🏻

Amazing experience! It was immediately obvious this place is loved by locals, the server was greeted by so many! The food is amazingly good, service is kind and quick, and it's crazy cheap for what you get. And, it was a 5 minute walk from our hotel. 10 out of 10.

It was okay. The burger was rather average, though. The appetizer platter wasn't good. The steak was overcooked, the tuna was cooked through. The burgers weren't great, and the fries were greasy and too dark. The broken window didn't really contribute to a pleasant atmosphere. The waiters were nice, but not above average.

I had ribs, which I highly recommend. 1. The food was high-quality and delicious. 2. The homemade lemonade was also very tasty. 3. People kept asking if we liked the food and drinks. 4. Inside, there are explicit signs stating that smoking is prohibited, which was very convenient for us. (Because the smokers outside made us a little nauseous.)

If I could give more stars, I would. The pulled beef burger is highly recommended. Delicious! It also has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.

Super delicious, I've been here several times and everything tastes great! It's one of my favorite restaurants. I definitely recommend the beef tataki, the mango and cucumber salad (I order it every time!!!), and the Margherita cocktail! 😍

Absolutely fantastic. Everything is fresh. The quality is absolutely fantastic. The taste is phenomenal. Bürgerkuchen without a bun is also available for those who have to follow a gluten-free diet.

The burgers were super juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The selection isn't huge, but it's well-thought-out – vegetarians and vegans will also find suitable options. I particularly recommend the large Bronx Burger with cheddar cheese – truly delicious and quite filling. The meat was tender and high-quality. The fries were rather small in portions, but nice and crispy and had a homemade, fresh potato flavor. The prices are absolutely fair, and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. The service was friendly, and six of us managed to get a seat spontaneously on a Sunday evening, even without a reservation. The only downside: the bench at the table was a bit too high and uncomfortable for the back, and unfortunately, there was a faint smell of a toilet in the back area.

Inviting atmosphere, burgers A1, fries not so good, hence one star away. The service was so nice that you could hardly believe your ears. All in all really good and would love to do it again, then maybe without fries 😉.

My review has been deleted. So again: This is called a burger. As a gourmet, I have visited and reviewed several stores in recent years. An absolute insider tip. The other dishes also show that the work here is done with love. Our favorites: barbecue burgers, children's burgers, steak, the best and only sweet potatoes in town. Top atmosphere, top staff, attentive and top boss. Always very relaxed and quiet and not loud like in these crowd restaurants. A clear recommendation for everyone whose taste buds still work.

We came across The Bronx Bar by chance on the 1st of Advent and were pleasantly surprised. We had very tasty burgers and steak. It was a cozy atmosphere and we had a nice time there. Really recommended.

Been in Düsseldorf for two nights, stopped by by chance, had a very tasty and good meal and had extremely friendly service, so we... We went there again on the second evening. Menu very diverse. On the second evening we ate just as deliciously and were served very friendly and quickly despite the large number of guests. Overall, highly recommended.

Mit einem Kollegen war ich dort. Das Ambiente ist wie ein amerikanischer Pub aufgebaut. Der Service war gut und die Beef Ribs, die wir beide hatten, waren top. Und so groß, dass ich es nicht aufessen konnte.

An aggressive waiter and disastrous food. We ordered an entrecôte medium rare, it was sour and completely raw. When I said if we can have it medium rare he said raw is the same. We then ate it and pointed out to the waiter that there were different prices on the internet and that an entrecôte costs €27.90 instead of €16.90 as it says on the internet. He said he doesn't want customers like us and that if something doesn't suit me I should call the police. The waiter was an Asian gentleman. Really speechless.

Went to the Bronx Bar with a group and ordered different dishes. The service was quick and friendly. But we all agreed that the fries didn't taste good - very limp, not very seasoned and, in my opinion, had the taste of old fat. Unfortunately the currywurst was nothing either. The sausage itself was quite tasteless and I was really looking forward to a delicious sausage made from veal. Too bad! The curry sauce itself tasted more like a barbecue sauce - more smoky and strong than fruity and spicy. Until then I always thought it was a dish where you could do more right than wrong... Well, sorry, it didn't suit my taste. The homemade iced tea was delicious, the atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly. But I wouldn't come back because of the quality of the food.

Unfortunately, the fries were very weak, soggy and too firm on the inside. Burger pulled beef was good. Pregnant friend's burger was not 100% well done despite advice - and almost a beer was served with alcohol instead of non-alcoholic (ordered incorrectly, can happen)

We just had dinner here and are both so full ☺️ it was super delicious. The rump steak was absolutely spot on. The chef really has an idea ☺️ The chicken was also perfectly paste, super good with the crispy bacon and the super tasty salad. And we now know the difference between Radler and Alster 😂 You will receive good advice regarding the menus. The light is a bit dimmed which we found very pleasant☺️we would love to come back.

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant today and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The surf and turf burger with juicy beef and tender tiger prawns was by far the best burger I have ever eaten. The hand carved fries with cheese sauce were the perfect complement. My brother chose the Bronx Cheeseburger, accompanied by fries and the insider tip: five incredibly delicious sauces that added a special touch to the already unique taste. The service was also excellent - the staff was extremely friendly, quick and looked after us perfectly. The ambience was equally welcoming, which completed the entire experience. As far as the prices are concerned, they are absolutely justified. With this quality of food, the great ambience and the first-class service, everything is just right here. I can only warmly recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit.

Stopped by randomly after a night of bouldering as it was one of the few places still serving. The service was good and the food was great. We had a group of 7 and the food came out quickly, and everyone enjoyed their meal.

The burgers used to be really good, but now they're just okay and way too expensive for that. The fries are actually tasty, but mine were still wobbly on the inside. Too bad

Ribs are good, sauce better than meat tough. They only have Radelberger on tap which is really not my favourite. Sweet fries good, normal fries meh. Burger pretty standard without surprises (bad or good)

Had the house specialty: Bronx Ribs 1KG, sounds like a lot more than it really is in the end and I didn't think it was that special, way too much marinade and the meat didn't really fall off the bone. The fries were okay, but I had overlooked the fact that there were three sauces to choose from and didn't order anything with them, and the extra ketchup I ordered later was charged an extra €0.80 in the size of a thimble.

I came across the Bronx Bar by chance as I was looking for a nice place to have dinner. I looked forward to my visit with low expectations and was more than pleasantly surprised. The service was exceptionally friendly and good, which was expressed by a very attentive waiter who responded to all requests quickly and courteously. The food was fancy but not overly complicated. I ate a chicken breast with rice, a pretty simple dish in itself. However, the sauce served and the homemade herb rice were almost a revelation as to how seemingly simple dishes can be prepared in an exciting way with the right tools. Everyone else was also absolutely thrilled with their dishes. The atmosphere invited you to linger and I would have liked to have spent more time there, everything was clean and stylishly furnished. The prices were more than reasonable for the quality offered. I will be happy to come back, my compliments to the Bronx Bar team!

Just passing by after a long day of work and traveling. By 9 we came in and asked if we still could eat. They politely replied we could until 22:30. So we ordered and got our food very fast. It was also very good! We are the chicken burger and the tuna bowl. Delicious! Would recommend!
