Food was very tasty. Service quick and friendly. Prices are, well, correspondingly high during the summer holidays and inflation, but normal for the area.

Food is great! However, one lady waitress didn’t allow us to split our bill with her varying excuses even though it was just easy to do. Nonetheless, we didn’t allow her to ruin the good food we had.

Delicious pork burgers served with crackling, slaw, and optional mustard. Very satisfying and filling. Quick and hospitable service for fast take away. Super tasty! Will be back.

Food is OKAY, but This Restaurant is not Asian Friendly. I have a water bottle in my bag pack, and the Waiter literally educated me "It is not good to drink water from outside" while I am ordering drinks. I feel so offended. I was asked to go inside to pay the bill, and the Waiter ask my to pay 5% or 10% as the tips. I am not comfortable with this at all.

Keep your hands off the food, pick up a pork roll and well, you can do that. It's not possible to sit down and eat on site. The schnitzel came out of the deep fryer, the cevapcici were fried dry and crispy. Never again!

We just spontaneously went to the old town to eat a “roast roll”! We were thrilled! New: the mega crispy, very large farmer's roll, two thick slices of roast, with a piece of crust. I ordered their Schnitzel and it was too hard and dry for my preference. I also find it a bit pricey. The drinks cost 4+€ per 500ml glass. The service staff who accommodated us was friendly and nice, but the area seems a bit crowded, had to sit really close with the other customers.

The boss was super unfriendly. As soon as we had the menu in our hands, we were urged to order. It felt like she was afraid that we would just sit around. And the food? Terrible! The grilled pork knuckles were still ok. The other meat was dry and tough. We definitely won't come a second time. This is a tourist trap, nothing more.

It took us a long time to choose where to go to eat on our first day in Dusseldorf. In the end, based on reviews, we chose this place. And they didn’t regret it. Delicious food and beer. I highly recommend trying the pork knuckle, I have never tasted it so delicious anywhere in Germany before. For dinner for two with alcohol we paid about 50 euros. Früher bekam man dort Spanferkel mit Kruste und Zwiebeln in einem knusprigen Brötchen, saftig und gein! Heute trockene, dreimal zu Tode gebratene Schweineschulter…. keine Kruste, keine Zwiebeln, keinen Bratensaft - schrecklich….

I don't know if Haksen cooking methods vary from region to region, but the Haksen at restaurants around here don't have much of a hard shell. It feels like eating warm cooked pig’s feet. In the past, a knife or fork would stick into the hard shell... The portion size is large, so if all 3 people are not big eaters, order only 2 portions when visiting with 3 people. I ordered some unusual beers here and was very satisfied. If you go, try this.

Five of all had schweineshaxe dish and dish was ok for the price. However the service was extremely unattended with no instructions while we were waiting for more than 20mins. The restaurant is on a very busy street and people passing by smokes and throw garbages on the street thus if you come here with children, it would be better to sit inside.

Der Service ist mies und mein Wunsch nach einem Stück mit Kruste bekam ich nicht erfüllt. Der Laden ist kein Empfehlung mehr und macht besser einen großen Bogen und geht woanders hin.

Also the pig Janes on Nordstr. has been closed for over a year. But the quality wasn't nearly as good as in the old town. A pity!

Eating knuckle here has the 3 BBB (GOOD, BEAUTIFUL AND CHEAP) Typical German place, very fast service, used to dealing with people from all over, speaking almost all languages. In case they don't speak yours, you tell them what you want and without a problem. I usually order knuckle, grilled. It is very juicy with a good churruscada area. This time I had a snitzchel, which is more typical of Vienna but to try it. I didn't like it too much, accustomed to the Viennese style which is much finer. Another colleague ordered a sausage that comes rolled and is quite good. All accompanied by potatoes. Every time I go, it is a must stop. Ideally, you can go outside the typical German schedules, which are to eat very early compared to the Spanish ones.

Average German restaurant for Tourists, not bad but there are far better options in Düsseldorf. The schnitzel didn’t seem fresh, it was big enough but quality was disappointing.

The moment I entered the restaurant, I was greeted with all the friendly staff. I ordered pork knuckle and it was the best I tasted! My dinner was excellent and I really appreciate all the staff for their service. I highly recommend this restaurant for their food and service.

Ich war zu dem Zeitpunkt der einzige Kunde am Tresen. Ich kaufte ein Brötchen mit Schweinefleisch. Erst legte der Mitarbeiter mir nur einen trockenen Kanten rein. Als er meinen Blick sah legte er eine Fleischlage dazu. Auf meine Bitte etwas Schwarze drauf zu legen entgegnete er mit einem Wort... "Trinkgeld?!" . Ich war so verdutzt, dass ich spontan mit ja antwortete... Statt den Kauf zu canceln. Statt 6 €was ja bereits stattlich ist sagte ich 8 € und bekam auf meine 50 € 41 € zurück... We used to come here often but now it has gotten worse and worse. Poor service, the waitress told me that I had to pay 8€ extra if I wanted to share an apple juice with a friend using two glasses (the apple juice only costs 4,8€). Plus rump steak doesn’t taste well, don’t recommend here at all.

O restaurante fica em uma ótima localização, perto de tudo que queira fazer na cidade. Tem mesas externas e internas, pelo frio preferimos ficar interno. Tem vários pratos típicos e escolhemos logo as especialidades da casa: Schweinhaxe, Schweinhaxe mit Bratkartoffeln, Schnitzel. Interessante ao modo de preparo dos joelhos de porco, bem semelhante ao que fazemos no Brasil com o frango assado. Atendimento muito bom, banheiros limpos. Vale uma visita pra degustação!

I heard from my friend that the place was really good a few years ago. Unfortunately I couldn't confirm this. The food didn't taste good at all and what you got was way too expensive. From the start, the man behind the counter was extremely unfriendly and seemed to have no interest in our order. Some requests were abruptly rejected, with answers such as "we don't do it" or "we don't have it", even though these contradicted the menu. However, what was even worse was the lack of hygiene practices from the same employee. It was obvious that he didn't bother to wash his hands between procedures. He worked the cash register, touched the cash, etc. Then prepared our food. The meat was then grabbed with the bare hands, cut and then everything was packed with the greasy hands, which meant that the packaging and the bag were completely smeared with grease, which was pretty disgusting. I definitely won't be coming back again.

Dat kleine ding is Nostalgie für mich, War als ich klein war immer unglaublich gern drin und hab immer mein Schweinebrötche gegessen, Mitlerweile echt disappointing. Nach der öffnung an der Nordstraße ist es nur noch runter gegangen. Keine Kruste, keine soße oder sonstiges. Zudem der old school sowieso deutlich besser war als Der “Heutige” Schade eigentlich

Habe eine Schweine+Brötchen mit Krautsalat bestellt und gegessen. Preis / Leistung sehr gut, sehr gute Portion und hat auch gut geschmeckt.

Sehr leckerer Schweinebraten mit gut gewürzten Bratkartoffeln. Auch die Haxe war äußerst lecker. Wir mussten nicht lange warten und das Preis-, Leistungsverhältnis ist wirklich gut.
