Disgraceful behavior, customer is definitely not a king. Service staff put you under pressure and gossip and laugh at you in your face :(

butter chicken was unusually watery, very little flavour, slow service, would not recommend. also the same song is played on repeat, extremely annoying.

I give this rating because food quality is not good .and service a little bit normal.

Been here before in the summer, when they have a huge terrace by the water, which is in my opinion the best time to come here. However in winter just a few tables inside. Food is all well cooked, the Linsensuppe (lentil soup) was surprisingly good. Some dishes are a bit mild. Cocktails - good selection and not bad prices. Although everything comes with crushed ice and if you are after your favorite cocktail that you know well , then you might be disappointed. However this isn't really a problem, just keep open mind.

What can I say? The food is very tasty, the atmosphere is authentic by the water, very nice even in winter! But back to the food, the food was very tasty, not to say almost perfect. My colleague had duck itch, I had lamb vindaloo. It couldn't have tasted better. There was also naan bread with herbs and naan bread with garlic. It really tasted very good. The beer could have been better because there is only bitburger on tap, but everyone tastes it differently. In conclusion, I can say that please eat here if you want Indian food or if you want a little Chinese touch.

It wasn't really that convincing on the first visit months ago, but it deserves a second chance. And rightly so, this time I ate it spicy and it was delicious. Staff quick and very friendly. Gladly again.

The lunch menu was good value for money, the main dish was tasty, drinks were a little expensive (glass of still water 3,90 EUR). But overall good. Service was lovely.

I was particularly impressed by the team's attentiveness: I received individual advice due to my food intolerances. The chef personally came to the table to ensure my dish was perfectly prepared - even custom-cooked! The waiters were incredibly polite, attentive and made sure I felt completely comfortable. The selection of drinks was also wonderful. If you are looking for a special oriental treat in the old town of Köpenick, you should definitely visit this restaurant. It is a place where hospitality and quality come first.

The restaurant has a beautiful indoor and outdoor space with a great waterfront view. It's an Indian-Singaporean fusion place with lots of vegetarian Indian options. I tried the tofu Medan—wasn’t impressed, as it lacked flavor. The rice was dry but had hints of cumin and bay leaves. Sadly, my Indian chai was almost cold. However, the staff was really friendly and spoke both English and German.

The ambience by the water is very nice, as is the staff. The drinks and cocktails though...what can I say. Considering it's also a cocktail bar, there's a lot of room for improvement. Even classic cocktails sometimes didn't taste even remotely as they should. As is typical for India, the food is rather uniform and a matter of taste. There are no parking spaces, only accessible on foot and by public transport.

The location of the restaurant is great, right on the Dahme.. the staff is very nice and very competent.. if you like Indian food, this is the right place for you. The starter (salad) was amazing. The food, on the other hand, I found rather standard... but that may also be because I always have a hard time choosing the right one... I'm not a big fan of curry 🫣

Conclusion: A good selection of dishes and very tasty. Not cheap, but just about inexpensive. We like coming here. Particularly good: Lassi (salty), that's exactly how it should be! I agree. 😇 Ambiance and staff: The staff is friendly and attentive. From the terrace you can look directly at the water.

Good restaurant in an exciting location just before the "confluence" of the Dahme and Spree. There is good Indian cuisine, hot if desired. Tastes delicious and is served by friendly Indian service. The finale is a really good cocktail. Leads to severe devaluation - only cash payment. Oh man. And the Indians are supposed to be such IT cracks. Things are better at the asparagus farm in Klaistow.

Perhaps the most remarkable thing about this restaurant is the beautiful view of the water from the summer veranda. As for the dishes... Lentil soup is definitely worthy of praise: tender, creamy, rich, moderately spicy. The chicken dishes left a mixed impression: the taste and texture of the meat is practically the same from dish to dish, despite the variety of gravies. Otherwise, butter chicken is good. As for the paneer cheese in mango sauce, the sweetness makes it more of a dessert than a main course. Or for those who have a sweet tooth 😸 The portions are large. The cocktail menu is extensive; the cocktails themselves are quite light and low in alcohol. A very interesting drink is made from beer with mango juice, although in this case unfiltered beer would be much better. Service - somewhat slow at the beginning - quickly sped up when the main courses arrived. The bottom line is that it's a very nice place to while away a warm evening.

So: it's really nice to sit in the winter garden - of course: front row at the window = view of the water is the nicest :-) The food came quickly, even though it was busy... half the tables were occupied on a Wednesday evening and the place is big. That's really good for Köpenick...there are some good shops in the radius... Food: had all sorts of starters and two main courses - everything was delicious! I took the leftovers (because there was a lot) with me - we'll have it for lunch tomorrow. Question: can this window front be opened? That would be a real highlight!!!!

!!!! WORST FOOD !!! I would give 0 stars for the quality of food. I am an Indian, I would say that this is the worst food I have ever tasted in my life. It was not even 1 % of the actual taste of the Indian dishes. I ordered chicken tikka and butter chicken, the tikka had an unusual red color in the meat and butter chicken was soft as cotton which is also unusual. We don’t even finish our food 5%. Aaoji is fooling people in the name of Indian food. I usually don’t give bad reviews, but I would not recommend this restaurant to anyway .

Four of us were there at lunchtime. The ambience is really very nice. We liked the former outdoor terrace, which is now designed like a kind of winter garden. All windows open in summer, protected from rain and storms and protected in winter. Food was very tasty. Lunch menu for €10 including soup of the day. A visit is worth it.

Aao Ji offer coffee and cake. Unfortunately there were only two types. Unfortunately I didn't ask about the price, but €7.95 for a piece of dry raspberry cake left me speechless... Very disappointing

I usually don’t write bad reviews, but the food is really bad. I had also ordered from this place for delivery, the food didn’t seem fresh and when asked for refund, they denied it. Berlin Indian restaurants really need to up their games, they sell anything in the name of Indian food.

Average Indian, no need to visit.

The sour-spicy soup No. 4 was a failure for me in terms of taste. Previous visits to other Indian restaurants have always been similarly delicious. Unfortunately this didn't suit this taste. The main course of lamb chilli, on the other hand, was okay. We sat at the window in the covered beer garden (these could have been cleaned better by the service staff who were often just standing around at the patio heaters) and it was quite quick, but we would have had the choice of the "heaters" distributed around the room. to sit. The no-go, however, was the payment method. I was prepared for this as I had read previous reviews beforehand. Only cash payment is available. What please?? The explanation from the owner/waiter was succinct: "After all, it's on the front of the menu." We couldn't confirm this because it didn't "catch our eye". A rogue who thinks evil of it. Unfortunately, I will end up visiting other Indian restaurants again.

We regularly order from Aao Ji in Köpenick and are always thrilled. Fast delivery. Very good quality. Reasonably priced. We have also eaten in two of the restaurants on site (Eichwalde and Schöneiche) and have always been very satisfied.

The view is definitely nice. It caught our eye and we decided to give it a try. Right next to the canal. I never saw anywhere they don’t accept cards but they said it’s written at the entrance (I used the other entrance). No harm done, there was an atm nearby. Now, the food. It was okay-ish. I think many of these Indian restaurants have a single base gravy for all their dishes. It might be good for some but for a south Asian, I don’t like it. Generally, the service is good. Nothing outstanding about the food though. I may not be tempted to go there again, honestly.

The food is very good. The staff served us very friendly, careful and courteous. There were no excessively long waits for the food to be served. The food selection is very extensive. We ate there with 6 people and the atmosphere was fine. The orders were taken quickly and drinks and food were brought quickly. The staff is nice but unprofessional, standing between tables and talking loudly. It was constantly loud in the background, there was a lot of shouting. It could also work better when serving and clearing away. The food came suspiciously quickly, the quality of the food was mediocre in terms of consistency and seasoning. Two of us had stomach pains on the following two days. Not again. A pity.

Saturday evening 8 p.m. The restaurant wasn't very busy. We had to wait at least 30 minutes for the drinks and more than 45 minutes for the food. I can understand that when it comes to food, but the drinks? Unfortunately that doesn't work for me at all. My Indian meat is usually very tender, but I have to be honest, the chicken was almost inedible for me, it was simply overcooked. The curry sauce was still very tasty

Update 2024: Today the food wasn't so good anymore, the dips I ordered were tasteless, at least my chicken tandoori was tender but my friend's chicken korma was way too sweet and the mango lassi was also weak, it's a shame that they were so neglected here next to the Mexican .. you also had the feeling that the waiters knew that it was a shame ;( 2022 The food is really good. We were there as a large group, that wasn't a problem and tables were organized quickly. The food was also really good, I was just surprised that there was no extra sauce so it was very dry. I know it differently from my Indian, but the lamb was still excellent ;)
