994 GINZA - Sushi Izakaya in Nürnberg

The food was truly outstanding! We were served immediately, and the waitress was very attentive, asking us several times while we were eating if we had any other requests. The food arrived at a good interval; as soon as we finished the appetizers, the main course arrived. The food was super fresh and simply delicious. The value for money was excellent! I definitely recommend it!

It was a truly successful evening. The manager was very attentive; the table, which was a bit wobbly, was fixed before we even noticed, and that's never happened to me before. This level of customer service, excellent food, and wonderful ambiance—my conclusion: I'll be inviting people there many more times. It's great that you exist!!!

Beautiful atmosphere, but food didn’t seem fresh, rice was old.

Love the atmosphere, tasty shishito and miso appetizer, but the sushi itself wasn’t good honestly. The rice was too old/hard/dry and there was about 2x as much rice in the nigiri than needed. The fish itself was fine but not amazing. Still a nice stop for peaceful lunch though, would have been fantastic if the sushi was better.

Unfortunately, neither the taste nor the quality of the food really impressed us – the sushi was rather bland, and the salmon, in particular, didn't live up to the standards we've come to expect from other sushi restaurants. What further irritated us was that around 9:30 p.m. (on a Saturday), the music was turned off, even though Google said they were supposed to be open until 10:30 p.m. Although there were still a few guests there, the staff were already gathering at the exit, chatting and apparently waiting for the last tables to leave. This didn't seem very inviting. The prices are generally reasonable, but based on the overall experience, we wouldn't go back again.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing, it's as if you were in a Chinese garden. The service is excellent as far as I can tell (we ordered takeaway). The sushi is good but expensive and a bit disappointing; everything with tuna was great. We also had the beef roll (€18) and the beef carpachio (€16) and unfortunately it wasn't what we expected. It was really soft but very tasteless; the combination with beetroot completely lost the taste of the beef. We would go again, but then only order "fish sushi". We paid €69 for everything with a 15% discount.

An incredible atmosphere with friendly service

A regular favourite we always recommend to others. The calming decor and atmosphere really make it something special. Always great sushi, but service super slow (seemed like only one person could take orders or payment, meaning we had to wait for them while 3-4 other members of staff were standing around. Strange system, frustrating when you’ve finished your meal and want to leave).

Tolles Restaurant, in einer echt guten Location. Hervorheben muss man den sehr freundlichen Service der Mitarbeiter. Auch zum Essen gab es keinerlei Beanstandungen, von den Vorspeisen bis zu den Hauptspeisen absolut top ! Wir waren zu viert und keiner hatte bei seiner Auswahl etwas zum kritisieren. Sehr lecker und auch auf dem Teller selbst sehr gut präsentiert. Kommen gerne wieder !

Yes, in March there were still Christmas decorations hanging on the door and mice were running around in the winter garden. Somehow I don't need this Asian shishi, the food isn't significantly better, but it's more expensive than, for example. near Than in Johannis.

We went here based on previous google reviews & we weren't disappointed. It's a beautifully decorated place and the food we ordered was delicious too. The service was very attentive yet discreet. For 2 alcoholic drinks, 2 mains, 1 miso soup and 1 Avo Sake (8 pieces) we only paid 65 €uros which was completely justified. Would definitely come here again :)

I was at Ginza 994 in Nuremberg with a friend and we were absolutely thrilled. This is not a fast food joint, but a real restaurant - stylish, high quality and designed with great attention to detail. The atmosphere is modern and pleasant, with a tastefully decorated interior and a particularly beautiful winter garden. The menu is impressively varied - it probably took us 15 minutes to decide because the selection was so large and the sushi creations became more and more exciting and unusual. Everything we ordered tasted excellent, was freshly prepared and was very attractively presented. The service was extremely friendly, attentive and professional. You feel welcome and well looked after. The prices vary depending on the choice - there are both fairly priced options and more unusual specialties. For a restaurant of this quality and atmosphere, the price-performance ratio is absolutely harmonious. A wonderful experience – we will definitely be back!

I was there recently during my lunch break. The ambience has been changed to reflect the Asian style of the kitchen, but the large winter garden was also beautifully designed in the days of the Prisma Bar (the older ones among us may remember...). Service was very friendly and relaxed. In addition to the lunch menu, there was also a very extensive menu for sushi etc. Unfortunately, I missed taking a photo of the dishes. Visually it was beautifully presented, but the highlight was the taste. The lunch set with miso soup, side salad and dish was super tasty. There are also some options available for veggies and vegans. Certainly not my last visit! Clear recommendation!

We were there for dinner. I think without a reservation you have little chance of getting a table there on Friday evening. The service was great, friendly and accommodating. Really great class. A greeting also to the head waiter, who tried his best and did a great job. The food was really great. From the starter to the dessert, I found the food to be really authentic. There were four of us and each of us found what we were looking for. We tried everything on the menu and there wasn't anything that wasn't tasty. Since it was quite cold in this hall, there were heaters everywhere that not only warmed us up but were also nice to look at. I can really recommend it... but don't forget to reserve.

We ordered to be picked up and during the short waiting time I was even kindly given a glass of water. We ordered sushi, fried udon noodles, the starters with eggplant, corn, asparagus, and baked tuna. Everything (!) really tasted extremely good! We have never seen so many good starters on one menu. We were very satisfied and will definitely come back :)

I would like to give even more stars. Beautiful winter garden. Now heated in February and green an absolute highlight. Service from placement to operation is top notch. There were three of us and we had a starter, soup, sushi and an udob dish. Everything is not only served quickly but also super tasty.

Modern Japanese restaurant in Gostenhof. Food: The long menu includes a wide selection of hot and cold starters, udon, ramen, sushi variations, meat dishes, desserts and much more. Everything, both the starters and the sushi and creme brulee, tasted excellent. The homemade drinks are also delicious and come in a reasonable size. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Service: When the house is full, the service can be a little more stressful. However, all the staff were really nice and attentive. Everything was decorated for Valentine's Day and women were given a rose to say goodbye. Ambiance: Really nice and unique ambience in the winter garden, it feels like a Japanese garden. The tables could be a little further apart and in winter it is a little cool in the winter garden despite the patio heaters.

Just WOW!!! Starting with the courteous waiter at reception, who welcomed us warmly and showed us to our seat. A person who lives and loves his job and is rarely found in the catering industry anymore. The location is unique in the entire region and makes you forget that you are in Nuremberg. A welcome change from the many rather monotonous, but also very good, remaining restaurants in Nuremberg. The menu is attractively designed and has a wide selection, from classic to unusual offerings. Both the drinks and the food are first class. Creative sushi rolls tastefully implemented and presented. It was a really great evening there and not the last! Thank you for this experience!

It was okay, we weren't entirely happy with the selection on the menu, if you were in the mood for fried sushi, for example, you wouldn't be in the right place, I think it needs to be revised. The sashimi is particularly great, very tasty. There were 4 pieces of tofu in the miso soup, which I think was a bit small. Otherwise we enjoyed some of the sushi and unfortunately some of it didn't, so it's too overpriced for me. The service was mostly good and they are friendly.

Food was okay, but not great, especially the price-performance ratio. The fact that we were seated at a table of 6 with a reservation and then asked to sit at a table of 4 in the middle of the meal was very unpleasant. You could have at least covered it up with a little something on the house, so it was simply an absolute no-go.

The atmosphere is very nice, but food was disappointing. Miso soup had only a few leaves of seaweed. Tuna Bowl had artificial crab sticks in it, rice was old or undone🤷‍♀️ The Food is too overpriced

Went there as a couple on Valentine's Day and the tables with our neighbors were 2cm apart. I really understood every word the neighboring couples said and so it wasn't really possible to have a conversation without being disturbed. Not recommended on Valentine's Day, even if the food was good. At least you were compensated with a rose at the end. Very unfortunate. Answer to the owner: It's great that you're doing such a great business with Valentine's Day, but you can't squeeze an infinite number of guests into a restaurant, and if you can, you have to mention that when making the reservation. As I said, I was very disappointed, we won't be going to you anymore :(

WOW, best restaurant I've ever been to! Booking - online and uncomplicated Ambience - awesome! In the outdoor area you sit in the middle of huge plants, trees, a small pond, Asian flair, heating columns and lots of lights. Incredibly great experience. Volume - there was a quiet and comfortable volume at our table. However, it was definitely louder inside. Service - without exception, every employee was super friendly and helpful. One of the owners welcomed us and showed us to our seat. Towards the end he asked personally at the table whether everything was okay. First class. Food - really delicious! Conclusion: Everything was done right without exception! For us it was not just a visit to a restaurant, but a very special experience in the midst of the atmosphere. We would like to say a big thank you to the whole team and are already looking forward to the next visit!

It was valentines day today and it started good. The service was fast and attentive. But once we ordered another round of drinks, things went south fast. We waited for half an hour for our drinks and the payment had to be asked for three times. I left with a very mixed feeling especially since the table next to us got some presents as they waited similarly long and we did not. Not coming back here with such a bad service. Sorry but we paid 120€ in the end and left unsatisfied even though it started very nice. You need to train your service personnel seriously

I chose this restaurant because of the many positive reviews. The pictures and presentation of the dishes are really appealing. Unfortunately I have to say that I was disappointed with the taste. The dishes were not very aromatic and hardly differed in taste from each other. Overall, unfortunately it didn't convince me.

We have now ordered several times from the 994 GINZA. Both the order via the homepage and the delivery (always super punctual and friendly) as well as the sushi were perfect. The sushi is also delivered beautifully packaged. Always my pleasure!

Five stars for a first class dining experience We had the pleasure of dining at this Japanese restaurant in Nuremberg and loved it. The salad was wonderfully fresh and perfectly seasoned. The sashimi impressed with its excellent quality - every piece was a pleasure! The crowning finale was the Matcha Brûlée, which was simply delicious with its subtle sweetness and aromatic taste. We were particularly impressed by the exceptionally attentive and friendly service. The staff took care of every wish and made the evening an unforgettable experience. Absolutely recommended – we will definitely be back!

Good atmosphere, delicious sushi, very friendly staff.

I was last there about 3 years ago and was horrified to discover that the prices have been increased by 50% since then (Pirikara, Yume, etc., open wines 0.2l 9-13€). This means you're more likely to be playing in the top league. The food is good - nothing more, nothing less. I don't know if they are still affiliated with Hiro Sakao, but the prices there are much lower and the food has reference status.

Great address for sushi lovers. There are different creations and enough choice. The atmosphere outside is really nice. However, despite the heater, it can sometimes be a bit chilly in the winter depending on where you sit. Service was very friendly and attentive.

Find it in the "winter garden" when it's not exactly summer, just way too cold and cozy. Despite the heater and blankets, we were all freezing. Sitting down to eat with a winter jacket would have been very uncomfortable. We all thought Suhsi was okay, but other sushi shops in Nuremberg have a lot more flavor. Service was nice and on point.

Very good food, great drinks and friendly staff. The ambience is fine. Maybe a bit too space-saving, as the tables are very close to each other and you have to block out the neighbors' conversations. From the operators' point of view, I understand this decision in winter. The staff is very nice and regularly asks if anything is needed. Special requests, such as no ice cubes in the drink or sushi without cream cheese, are also accepted. The food is very good. One of the best karaage so far as they are not too greasy. The sushi is outstanding, imaginative and varied. Very good and unusual combinations. For vegans, there is a good and large selection of sushi that goes far beyond the standard. Unfortunately there are no vegan main courses with rice. Vegans who don't like sushi mainly have appetizers and vegan desserts. The dessert was very good. Although I didn't find much added value from matcha in the brulee. This would have been delicious without the tea or would have been better with matcha sauce. For drinking I can highly recommend the Roses Darling with rose syrup and very berry, simply very fruity. Maybe a little less syrup but a great combination. In terms of price, the restaurant is one of the more expensive, but the quality justifies it. I hope this quality remains as good on my next visits.

I am the wrong customer for this restaurant. Never been to the Japanese before. Have only been to China so far. Ambiance inside not good. Too narrow and something was missing from the ceiling to reduce noise. Those records from a recording studio or lots of fabric would do wonders. Certainly more pleasant in summer. Staff always friendly and relatively quick. But empty glasses were rarely discovered or is it a custom in Japan? Food was good but I would have expected more for the price. The rent is probably almost at the city center level. Menu extremely confusing for the uninformed. I couldn't figure it out. Maybe there was great food and I just missed it.

We went for sushi with my wife and we are also sushi lovers. Have tried different varieties all over the world. We chose this restaurant because of the great reviews. Unfortunately we are more than disappointed with the food. Above all, the price-performance ratio is a huge disgrace. We ate for more than €70 and didn't get full. The taste leaves something to be desired. For this price you would hope for more. If you want to eat really good sushi, please avoid Ginza. We wonder if the reviews are fake. Too bad!

Sushi was good, but I can't say it was great. But the panna cotta was great. Prices are affordable. We went in the evening, so it was extremely crowded. I was disturbed by the noise. If you like tranquility, I recommend you go early. The waiters are very attentive, the service is very good, they can cope with the demand very well.

Nice ambiance, however the raw fish here made me AND my husband sick with bad stomach cramps. Had to run to a pharmacy to get medicine after eating here. I ended up ill for the remainder of the day! Unfortunately cannot recommend and will not return. The restaurant did offer a voucher, however being that I don’t live there this doesn’t help me in any way. If they were to compensate me for what I paid originally, this is a different story. Funny that the business stated they’d compensate. Once we reached out as stated below, no one replied. How convenient.

The Ginza is a very nice restaurant with a heated and covered outdoor area. The staff is very friendly and attentive. There is nothing to complain about when it comes to food. There are new creations here on a regular basis and the quality always maintains the same high standard. Highly recommended if you want to treat yourself to a nice visit to the restaurant.

Wow! I think one of my favorite restaurants. The food is great even if the prices are in the higher price segment, which is the reason that I can't come as often as a student. But we rate the food here and not the price ;) We had two Homeade Ice Teas, one the Roses Darling and one Very Berry. The drinks were great, not too sweet, not too little flavor, just perfect. As a starter we had chicken gyoza and edamame with crystal salt. As a main course, typical sushi, once crispy with salmon and once with avocado, as well as the usual maki with rocket and cream cheese. There were also vegan nigiri sushi rolls with tofu. The dessert was coconut pana cotta with mango sauce and black sticky rice with fruit and coconut milk, which was the best dessert I have ever eaten so far. It has never been as tasty anywhere else as at Ginza :)

We have already been to this restaurant many times, but I can’t write a review: 1) Very calm atmosphere - you can sit and have a nice chat; 2) The waiters mixed up the salad this time, but immediately corrected everything; 3) The main manager at the entrance is always very attentive and cheerful - thank you very much! 4) This time we took sushi and rolls and salads and soups and dessert. I would especially like to mention the roll - Yukiko with eel - amazing. My friend really liked the grilled octopus "Mr. Taco" Thank you! We'll definitely come again!
