994 GINZA - Sushi Izakaya in Nürnberg

Second time that we are in Neurenberg and both times we had sushi at 994. Both times it was great! Nice sushi! Fresh and tastefully! Can't wait dor the next time we are in Neurenberg 😋

We always enjoy going to the restaurant because we love the ambiance and the delicious food. The indoor and outdoor areas are beautifully decorated with Japanese lanterns. The unusual sushi creations, which are so rare, are particularly noteworthy. We love the lime one. The service is always very friendly, and you feel completely taken care of and welcome.

Ginza is a very nice restaurant with a heated and covered outdoor area. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is simply amazing. The food was tasty, but nothing special. The quality was absolutely fine, and the prices were fair at lunchtime. In the evening, it was a bit too expensive for the quality offered. Overall, it was okay, but unfortunately, nothing more.

Wow! So great. Delicious, super fast, and super friendly! As the child said, best restaurant ever! For me, the best service so far!!! Addendum: The next day, we stopped by briefly to order some sushi to go, as the middle child enjoyed it soooo much. While we waited, we each got a glass of water (there were four of us) with lemon and a free appetizer salad to go with the sushi. PS: Definitely order the Tokyo Yuzu lemonade and the Yuzu ice cream! Fantastic!

Today was our first visit to 994 Ginza, and it certainly won't be our last! The ambiance is absolutely beautiful, the service is simply excellent, and the food was truly the most delicious sushi we've had in a long time! We were also pleasantly surprised by the many vegetarian and vegan sushi options! Highly recommended, and we'll definitely be back!

A top-notch restaurant that lights up with colorful lights in the evenings when it gets dark. The staff was also very attentive and quick. There was a good selection of different dishes and also a sushi platter for two people. However, in my opinion, the selection wasn't enough for the price to really satisfy both of us.

We were here for the first time yesterday. We visited the restaurant for our son's 18th birthday. The food was delicious. From the starter to the main course to the dessert, it was top-notch. 👍 The value for money (4 people, 3 courses, and 6 drinks with tip, just under €170) is also excellent. The service is very friendly and attentive. The restaurant even gave us a small birthday treat (a portion of dessert with lots of fresh fruit and a small fountain) 🥳 The only small drawback is the location. We live a bit outside of Nuremberg and arrived by taxi yesterday. Parking is very difficult (especially now with the major construction work). We will definitely be back! We can and will definitely recommend 994 GINZA!

WOW, best restaurant I've ever been to! Booking - online and uncomplicated Ambience - awesome! In the outdoor area you sit in the middle of huge plants, trees, a small pond, Asian flair, heating columns and lots of lights. Incredibly great experience. Volume - there was a quiet and comfortable volume at our table. However, it was definitely louder inside. Service - without exception, every employee was super friendly and helpful. One of the owners welcomed us and showed us to our seat. Towards the end he asked personally at the table whether everything was okay. First class. Food - really delicious! Conclusion: Everything was done right without exception! For us it was not just a visit to a restaurant, but a very special experience in the midst of the atmosphere. We would like to say a big thank you to the whole team and are already looking forward to the next visit!

We were there this evening – without a reservation. We got a great seat, and the service was very attentive and friendly. They apologized for having to wait 15 minutes for our food – nothing to complain about. The quality and appearance of the dishes were stunning and worth every euro. If you mention that you're parked in the Plärrer parking garage when paying, you'll get a €2 refund of the parking fee – another nice gesture. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it!

My first visit to Ginza 994 – I was eager to try sushi because so many people rave about the freshness of the fish. At first, I was a bit skeptical – raw fish? But after the first bite, all my uncertainty disappeared. The fish was cool and silky tender, the rice pleasantly warm and slightly acidic, with a hint of wasabi – spicy, but not overpowering. Everything together seemed simple, yet perfectly balanced. Sushi here isn't just food – it's a quiet, refined experience that lingers long afterward.

It was a truly successful evening. The manager was very attentive; the table, which was a bit wobbly, was fixed before we even noticed, and that's never happened to me before. This level of customer service, excellent food, and wonderful ambiance—my conclusion: I'll be inviting people there many more times. It's great that you exist!!!

Love the atmosphere, tasty shishito and miso appetizer, but the sushi itself wasn’t good honestly. The rice was too old/hard/dry and there was about 2x as much rice in the nigiri than needed. The fish itself was fine but not amazing. Still a nice stop for peaceful lunch though, would have been fantastic if the sushi was better.

High-quality sushi, but also other dishes for those who don't like sushi. A bit chilly in winter, but very pleasant in spring and autumn with the pond and outdoor seating.

Unfortunately, neither the taste nor the quality of the food really impressed us – the sushi was rather bland, and the salmon, in particular, didn't live up to the standards we've come to expect from other sushi restaurants. What further irritated us was that around 9:30 p.m. (on a Saturday), the music was turned off, even though Google said they were supposed to be open until 10:30 p.m. Although there were still a few guests there, the staff were already gathering at the exit, chatting and apparently waiting for the last tables to leave. This didn't seem very inviting. The prices are generally reasonable, but based on the overall experience, we wouldn't go back again.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing, it's as if you were in a Chinese garden. The service is excellent as far as I can tell (we ordered takeaway). The sushi is good but expensive and a bit disappointing; everything with tuna was great. We also had the beef roll (€18) and the beef carpachio (€16) and unfortunately it wasn't what we expected. It was really soft but very tasteless; the combination with beetroot completely lost the taste of the beef. We would go again, but then only order "fish sushi". We paid €69 for everything with a 15% discount.

A regular favourite we always recommend to others. The calming decor and atmosphere really make it something special. Always great sushi, but service super slow (seemed like only one person could take orders or payment, meaning we had to wait for them while 3-4 other members of staff were standing around. Strange system, frustrating when you’ve finished your meal and want to leave).

Tolles Restaurant, in einer echt guten Location. Hervorheben muss man den sehr freundlichen Service der Mitarbeiter. Auch zum Essen gab es keinerlei Beanstandungen, von den Vorspeisen bis zu den Hauptspeisen absolut top ! Wir waren zu viert und keiner hatte bei seiner Auswahl etwas zum kritisieren. Sehr lecker und auch auf dem Teller selbst sehr gut präsentiert. Kommen gerne wieder !

Yes, in March there were still Christmas decorations hanging on the door and mice were running around in the winter garden. Somehow I don't need this Asian shishi, the food isn't significantly better, but it's more expensive than, for example. near Than in Johannis.

We went here based on previous google reviews & we weren't disappointed. It's a beautifully decorated place and the food we ordered was delicious too. The service was very attentive yet discreet. For 2 alcoholic drinks, 2 mains, 1 miso soup and 1 Avo Sake (8 pieces) we only paid 65 €uros which was completely justified. Would definitely come here again :)

You feel welcome and well looked after. The prices vary depending on the choice - there are both fairly priced options and more unusual specialties. For a restaurant of this quality and atmosphere, the price-performance ratio is absolutely harmonious. A wonderful experience – we will definitely be back!

I was there recently during my lunch break. The ambience has been changed to reflect the Asian style of the kitchen, but the large winter garden was also beautifully designed in the days of the Prisma Bar (the older ones among us may remember...). Service was very friendly and relaxed. In addition to the lunch menu, there was also a very extensive menu for sushi etc. Unfortunately, I missed taking a photo of the dishes. Visually it was beautifully presented, but the highlight was the taste. The lunch set with miso soup, side salad and dish was super tasty. There are also some options available for veggies and vegans. Certainly not my last visit! Clear recommendation!

We were there for dinner. I think without a reservation you have little chance of getting a table there on Friday evening. The service was great, friendly and accommodating. Really great class. A greeting also to the head waiter, who tried his best and did a great job. The food was really great. From the starter to the dessert, I found the food to be really authentic. There were four of us and each of us found what we were looking for. We tried everything on the menu and there wasn't anything that wasn't tasty. Since it was quite cold in this hall, there were heaters everywhere that not only warmed us up but were also nice to look at. I can really recommend it... but don't forget to reserve.

We ordered to be picked up and during the short waiting time I was even kindly given a glass of water. We ordered sushi, fried udon noodles, the starters with eggplant, corn, asparagus, and baked tuna. Everything (!) really tasted extremely good! We have never seen so many good starters on one menu. I would like to give even more stars. Beautiful winter garden. Now heated in February and green an absolute highlight. Service from placement to operation is top notch. There were three of us and we had a starter, soup, sushi and an udob dish. Everything is not only served quickly but also super tasty.

Modern Japanese restaurant in Gostenhof. Food: The long menu includes a wide selection of hot and cold starters, udon, ramen, sushi variations, meat dishes, desserts and much more. Everything, both the starters and the sushi and creme brulee, tasted excellent. The homemade drinks are also delicious and come in a reasonable size. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Service: When the house is full, the service can be a little more stressful. However, all the staff were really nice and attentive. Everything was decorated for Valentine's Day and women were given a rose to say goodbye. Ambiance: Really nice and unique ambience in the winter garden, it feels like a Japanese garden. The tables could be a little further apart and in winter it is a little cool in the winter garden despite the patio heaters.

It was okay, we weren't entirely happy with the selection on the menu, if you were in the mood for fried sushi, for example, you wouldn't be in the right place, I think it needs to be revised. The sashimi is particularly great, very tasty. There were 4 pieces of tofu in the miso soup, which I think was a bit small. Otherwise we enjoyed some of the sushi and unfortunately some of it didn't, so it's too overpriced for me. The service was mostly good and they are friendly.

The fact that we were seated at a table of 6 with a reservation and then asked to sit at a table of 4 in the middle of the meal was very unpleasant. You could have at least covered it up with a little something on the house, so it was simply an absolute no-go.

A person who lives and loves his job and is rarely found in the catering industry anymore. The location is unique in the entire region and makes you forget that you are in Nuremberg. A welcome change from the many rather monotonous, but also very good, remaining restaurants in Nuremberg. The menu is attractively designed and has a wide selection, from classic to unusual offerings. Both the drinks and the food are first class. Creative sushi rolls tastefully implemented and presented. It was a really great evening there and not the last! Thank you for this experience!

Went there as a couple on Valentine's Day and the tables with our neighbors were 2cm apart. I really understood every word the neighboring couples said and so it wasn't really possible to have a conversation without being disturbed. Not recommended on Valentine's Day, even if the food was good. At least you were compensated with a rose at the end. Very unfortunate. Answer to the owner: It's great that you're doing such a great business with Valentine's Day, but you can't squeeze an infinite number of guests into a restaurant, and if you can, you have to mention that when making the reservation. As I said, I was very disappointed, we won't be going to you anymore :(

It was valentines day today and it started good. The service was fast and attentive. But once we ordered another round of drinks, things went south fast. We waited for half an hour for our drinks and the payment had to be asked for three times. I left with a very mixed feeling especially since the table next to us got some presents as they waited similarly long and we did not. Not coming back here with such a bad service. Sorry but we paid 120€ in the end and left unsatisfied even though it started very nice. You need to train your service personnel seriously
