994 GINZA - Sushi Izakaya in Nürnberg

We went there for lunch today with our 9-month-old son, and what can I say—it was simply fantastic! 😍 For us, it's the best Asian restaurant we've ever been to, and the service, especially with a baby, was incredibly friendly. The staff checked on us regularly and even offered to look after our son while we ate (which we declined for personal reasons). We'll definitely be back! ☺️

We visited Ginza for the first time today based on several recommendations. We started with a sprout salad. This was followed by a perfectly seasoned soup with shrimp, chili, and cilantro. Our sushi arrived with absolutely top-quality ingredients, just as requested, as a platter placed in the center of the table. It was an absolute culinary delight. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived. We will definitely be back! 😍👌🏼

I've eaten much better there than this time! The pasta dish was unimaginative, barely any flavor, and the noodles were too soft. The fried octopus was swimming in breading, and the seaweed salad lacked freshness. Perhaps this place should only serve sushi, etc.; that seems to be the right fit!

I ordered a Gyo Bowl and it was by far the best thing I've ever eaten in a restaurant. The caramelized onions, the juicy and tender beef, the spring onions that give it a fresh kick—everything harmonizes so well. The rice is also very well prepared. I more than enjoyed it. The price is high, so you can't go there every day, but it's definitely a place I'll keep in mind. The quality and taste are unbeatable. Many thanks to the friendly staff. A very nice conservatory, but really cold in there, despite several heaters. We were able to "escape" to the hall, where it was nice and warm. The food was delicious and also a feast for the eyes, the white wine was perfectly chilled, and the "matcha crème brûlée" dessert was divine. I'll come again in the spring when it's warm enough for the conservatory.

We ordered food through Lieferando, and unfortunately, it was a disaster. The driver arrived by bicycle, and after 20 minutes, the food was ice cold. After calling the restaurant, we were simply told to complain to Lieferando, as they are responsible for the delivery. While I understand their point of view, I think restaurants should still prioritize how the food arrives at the customer's door and package it differently from the start. The food itself was tasty, and the price was reasonable.

If you go here on weekends, you cannot pick a bowl or anything from lunch menu unless you pay an extra 11€ on each meal! That is something that we were told by the lady who wanted to take our order. It was not stated anywhere written on the menu… I find this not really logical, because you either have the food in the kitchen or you don’t, which in this case you do! So why should you charge extra for bringing that to the table on the weekend!? The price do and didn’t matter to us, but as we disliked this policy, we ended up choosing starters, filled a bit and then we ate our lunch somewhere else. Edit: After your reply, I am regretful why we did not leave the restaurant at the very first moment. What is stated on the menu is „lunch menu mon-fri“, there is no extra 11€ written there! This is just the „Aussage!“ from the waitress. Furthermore, I didn’t write about evening meal. I wrote about weekend, that is obvious you didn’t even spend the time to read my review exactly and just answered me. And the exclamation marks are so unacceptable, so I change my review to 2. Thank you for your understanding!!!!

We've been to many sushi restaurants, but this one tops them all! The selection is huge, and the prices, in my opinion, aren't expensive at all. The ambiance in the conservatory is very pleasant and truly beautiful – even in winter; there are patio heaters everywhere (the ones with the glass tube and the visible flame). I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

The restaurant even gave us a small birthday treat (a portion of dessert with lots of fresh fruit and a small fountain) 🥳 The only small drawback is the location. We live a bit outside of Nuremberg and arrived by taxi yesterday. Parking is very difficult (especially now with the major construction work). We will definitely be back! We can and will definitely recommend 994 GINZA!

In the outdoor area you sit in the middle of huge plants, trees, a small pond, Asian flair, heating columns and lots of lights. Incredibly great experience. Volume - there was a quiet and comfortable volume at our table. However, it was definitely louder inside. Service - without exception, every employee was super friendly and helpful. One of the owners welcomed us and showed us to our seat. Towards the end he asked personally at the table whether everything was okay. First class. Food - really delicious! Conclusion: Everything was done right without exception! For us it was not just a visit to a restaurant, but a very special experience in the midst of the atmosphere. We would like to say a big thank you to the whole team and are already looking forward to the next visit!

They apologized for having to wait 15 minutes for our food – nothing to complain about. The quality and appearance of the dishes were stunning and worth every euro. If you mention that you're parked in the Plärrer parking garage when paying, you'll get a €2 refund of the parking fee – another nice gesture. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it!
