It was a truly delicious and warm meal. We stumbled upon this restaurant because it was raining and cold. The servers were friendly, so we had a cozy meal. My parents were especially pleased with their meal, which made it even better. We ordered the Fl~~something with ribeye, lamb steak, and smoked salmon, and it was truly delicious. Koreans might want to order it cooked a little higher than medium. I like it rare, so I thoroughly enjoyed it. Anyway, it was delicious, so if you're visiting Nuremberg Castle, you should definitely try this place. Seriously, this meal made my trip to Germany feel warmer.

We've been regular guests here for two years now – we discovered it back then while looking for a really good steak. Since then, we've never been disappointed: consistently excellent quality, perfectly prepared steaks, and service that's a pleasure every time. For us, this restaurant is the benchmark by which all others must be measured – so far, no one has surpassed it. A huge thank you for the enjoyment and hospitality!

One of the nicest restaurants in Nuremberg's old town. A small menu, but excellent food – if you love steak, you should try it; the meat quality and preparation are excellent. The vegetables and salads are fresh and deliciously prepared and presented.

This one is a hidden gem. The Flamkuchen are all delicious - and there are vegetarian options. and the prices are very moderate. Also the wines are great. Food and wine arrived swiftly, and tasted delicious. Staff was very friendly, and checked if we need anything regularly. And we had no issues at all speaking English.

nice place near the old castle with good food. the steak was cooked to perfection and the potatoes are not to miss. the wine card had a lot of very good options as well. definitely on my list of places to return to in Nürnberg.

Super friendly service, and the steaks were fantastic. The ambiance, or rather the interior design, could be a bit more upscale and appealing. The fact that they don't serve wheat beer wasn't entirely understandable for us or our international guests. Otherwise, though, it was GREAT!

Our visit was in the evening to a very cozy little restaurant, we all had steaks and a mix of side dishes. The steaks were of good quality and excellently cooked perfectly as ordered, very well seasoned. There was coarse salt and chimichurri sauce. The side dishes were absolutely great, starting with the salad with a great dressing, the baked vegetables, the fried potatoes (it's rare to get something so good) and the star, the grilled peppers. A special compliment to the service, which was always attentive and friendly. It definitely won't be our last visit :).

Sunday evening rendezvous with three wonderful and unique women, chosen by the youth. Very friendly welcome and excellent advice from Mel, who was extremely chilled and in a good mood. Confident, extremely pleasant and always with the right saying. Unfortunately, this is far too rare. She really enjoys what she does. And when the kitchen does such a fantastic job - what incredible steaks those were!!!! - then there's no better way to end a weekend in culinary terms. Yesterday we went for dinner with 8 friends and were very impressed. Food was fantastic, every request was catered for. The service was first class, with great advice. It's definitely worth a visit. We're already looking forward to the next time.

Super quaint and small steak restaurant. The meat was gigantic, so the quality and cooking were absolutely top notch. The various tarte flambées are a nice alternative to the usual starters. The map is manageable, but that's a good sign. Service is warm and courteous. Come back, keep it up!

The food was absolutely delicious! Since we didn’t understand German, we used Google Translate to navigate the menu, which worked perfectly. The goat cheese salad was fantastic—quite large and definitely shareable. The medallion of beef was equally generous and shareable, and the oven-roasted vegetables were over-the-top delicious. To top it all off, the cappuccino was delightful. The staff was very attentive and genuinely concerned about whether we enjoyed our meal since we left so much behind—it was simply too much food for us to finish! A truly satisfying experience.

5 stars are not enough, everything fits here. Cool location, the food is awesome tarte flambée with dates is simply awesome. Then a beef fillet of the finest quality, great side dishes, peppers and vegetables are awesome. Chimichurri for the fillet and aioli for the shrimp, I have to say the same thing again, awesome. Creme Brulé, exactly awesome. I'll come back even if I have to drive 500 km. Almost forgotten, the service was extremely friendly and very competent.

Had a great experience at this place. Small and cozy with a friendly atmosphere. Food is great, we shared flammkuchen as starters, steak with roast potatoes and vegetables for the main course. Some of the party managed to get a custom order for dessert, really showed the flexibility of the staff. Prices are very reasonable both food and wine. Highly recommend

Great meat. Appreciate the limited menu. I had the entrecote, my wife had the filet, which come with chimichurri. Oven roasted potatoes and grilled paprika as our sides. Bottle of wine. Really cozy and good service.

Food was excellent. The tart / super-thin style pizza was as a real surprise and a treat. We had the pear and Gorgonzola and it was excellent - I thought it was going to be super filling but it was very light as a starter. Steaks were good also. Service was only minor let down - it wasn’t busy but we needed to flag someone down for everything we ordered (more drinks, the bill etc.)

Found it by chance and, thanks to the friendly welcome, stayed there and had a very unusual but absolutely delicious tarte flambée and a super tasty beer. Seating outside on a warm evening couldn't be better. I'll definitely come back and try the other dishes on the small menu!

Ok, esto es un poco fuera de los caminos trillados, sin embargo, eso es lo único negativo 😁 Mo el propietario pretende complacer es multilingüe y tiene el mejor chef de la zona. Mi esposa tenía filete de costilla y los recortes eran masivos y perfectamente cocinados, mi pensamiento inicial era bien que no se comerá todo eso, lo hizo. Tuve filetes de cordero alimentado con hierba con lados, el mejor cordero que he tenido en todo el tiempo. Excellent steakhouse in Nuremberg! The relatively long waiting time of around 45 minutes was rewarded with a well-roasted entrecote and pastured lamb. Both very aromatic and delicate in taste. The baked vegetables and the fried potatoes were also super tasty. Various sauces as well as flaky sea salt and a pepper mill were served with the meat. All dishes were excellently prepared. We sat outside on the terrace on a hill. Relatively quiet due to the location. The service was reserved, friendly and attentive. The bottom line is that it's definitely worth a visit, especially for meat lovers. We will definitely come by again for tarte flambée! Thanks!

Simply awesome from the food to the service 💯💯💯

Maybe the weather was too perfect, the day was too relaxed and my mood was too good, but the "Dürrer Hase" is incredibly suitable for exactly these circumstances. The food was so delicious, the music was so good and the staff was so personable, attentive and relaxed that when I come back to Nuremberg I will 100% probably come back and until then I will wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone. (We ate the Flammkuchen Special Fennel and an indescribably good side salad (if you have no expectations of side salads and just have to eat your vegetables so that the weather stays good, it will completely knock your socks off))

We were in this wonderful little cozy restaurant two evenings in a row. By chance we noticed the Dry Hare in the alley on the way to the castle. The ambience invites you to a nice, cozy evening. Every table was occupied. The menu is quite small compared to other restaurants and I think that's a good thing. The quality and taste of our food and drinks was excellent. The service was very attentive and friendly. We didn't like anything about it. The picture shows the beef fillet (above), flank steak (below) and the three side dishes: grilled peppers, baked vegetables and roasted potatoes. There was a wonderful chimichurri with the steak. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Nuremberg.

Amazing steak. Beyond initial expectation when first arrived at the restaurant. Not only the entrecote cut provide the impeccable tenderness, but the CRUST illuminated by the chef from coal fired the iron cast with an amazing butter bath made this steak, one of the best.

My absolute favorite restaurant in Nuremberg, that is, when it's not about Schäufele. Mega tarte flambée, great steaks with exactly the degree of doneness you wanted, medium rare in my case! Great wine recommendation too, Valdelagunde, a great white wine that of course goes particularly well with the tarte flambée! The service was also really very good and nice! Even the music playlist was awesome, I now have three titles in my playlists! All in all, really 5 stars!

So when I'm in London or in Paris or let's say in Manchester, Dublin or Montpellier and I find *a place like that*, then I'm really happy! For Nuremberg and in the middle of my hood, it's simply a blessing that the Dry Rabbit exists right here. The atmosphere is cozy and homely (I proposed to my wife there and we got married there too) and the food is ALWAYS on point. The wine selection absolutely meets my (not at all low) standards, you go home really happy and satisfied after an evening at the Dürren Hasen. Thank you very much!

Went there on a sunday, so free tables were available without reservation. The Beef filet was awesome, juicy and medium rare on the point. Salad and desert were very tasty and fresh too. Service was quick and friendly. I can fully recommend this location if you are looking for a nice piece of meat.👌🏼

Vegetarian: mega delicious! Tarte flambée with fennel, crispy, thin, large, tastes very good. Salad with herb mushrooms is also very good. Never tasted such tasty mushrooms. They are fried in clarified butter. Prices are slightly higher, but the menu is limited to the bare essentials, which is clearly a sign of quality here. You have to wait a bit for your food because the chef is so fair and says that he has to work through the other tables first so that he can serve fresh food together. Bread and aioli and pesto are served beforehand. With your receipt you get a free drink of your choice in the USG6 Bar. Definitely stop by again 👍🏽

Outstanding experience!!! We ate here with a group of around 20 people. We arrived and the “Welcome” alone was simply great! The service was exceptional, every request was catered for. The advice on food and drink was also excellent. The food, especially the meat, was perfectly prepared and exceptionally good for all 22 people at the same time. Location: outstanding A little hidden away but still close to the center. Ambience: rustic - authentic - exceptional Really an absolutely quaint, small restaurant with charm. Ideal for a great meal with your partner on a special occasion or on a first date if you want to make an impression!!! Drinks/Food/Cook: Since the restaurant is very small, you immediately noticed that the ingredients were freshly prepared... No matter whether it was the salad, the meat or the side dishes. Super fresh salad… perfect cooking point for the meat and also the pesto with aioli, and your own salad dressing. -> 1A with * The chef even came to congratulate me personally when he heard the birthday songs, certainly not a given. The drinks were all individual from the wine to the beers and went perfectly with the food. (Agreeable recommendation from the service) Conclusion: There is nothing wrong with the food, the service or the place! An absolute insider tip for gourmets.
