Dürrer Hase Restaurant in Nürnberg

Wir waren mit Freunden im Dürrer Hase, den wir regelmäßig zu besonderen Gelegenheiten aufsuchen. Der Empfang war freundlich und man platzierte uns am vorab reservierten 4er-Tisch. Die Speise/Getränkekarte wurde uns umgehend gereicht. Unsere Bestellung wurde dann freundlich aufgenommen. Zu meiner Bestellung kam dann noch die Info, dass das Stück Fleisch nur 300 gr. statt wie üblich 350 gr. wöge. Es wäre das letzte Stück und man würde mir preislich entgegenkommen. Das Essen kam dann alles gleichzeitig, obwohl wir die Salate vor dem Hauptgericht (Flammkuchen bzw. Fleisch) haben wollten. Das war aber auch wohl von unserer Seite nicht deutlich genug gesagt gewesen. Das Essen war dann vorzüglich, die Salate knackig und mit einem tollen Dressing versehen. Die Flammkuchen waren kross, aber nicht zu trocken mit tollen Belägen, sehr lecker. Das Fleisch war auf den Punkt gegart und die Beilagen exzellent. Der rote Hauswein passte hervorragend zum Fleisch. Wir hatten dann auch noch die Creme Brulée mit geeisten Himbeeren zum Dessert. Der perfekte Abschluss. Bei der Rechnung war der Abzug wegen des Fleisches dann doch nicht getätigt, was vom Service aber selbst bewerkt wurde. Wir bekamen stattdessen einen kleinen Gutschein für den nächsten Besuch. So geht es natürlich auch. Absolute Empfehlung. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tolle Location um den Abend ausklingen zu lassen. Die Flammkuchen kommen zügig und schmecken gut. Die Fisch-Variante braucht noch Feinschliff, daher empfehle ich Birne-Gorgonzola. Ein Genuss! Wenn ihr euer Glück bei den Getränken versuchen wollt, fragt nach einem "Cynar Spritz". Falls der aus ist sind aber die ausgeschriebenen Longdrinks alle empfehlenswert. Schön war's, gerne wieder!

Sehr gutes Essen (wir hatten Steak, Salat und Flammkuchen) und hervorragender aufmerksamer Service, Lage in einer ruhigen Altstadt Ecke mit Blick zur Burg. Wir kommen definitiv wieder! Besser geht es kaum!

Das Dürrer Hase ALTSTADT ist ein echtes kleines Juwel in der Altstadt. Ein feines, stilvolles und zugleich sehr gemütliches Lokal mit einer Atmosphäre, in der man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Das Fleisch war hervorragend – perfekt auf den Punkt gegart und von bester Qualität. Dazu kamen unglaublich leckere Beilagen, die das gesamte Gericht wunderbar abgerundet haben. Ein großes Lob an den Koch – hier merkt man sofort, dass mit Können und Leidenschaft gearbeitet wird. Als Vorspeise hatten wir den Flammkuchen. Ich habe bereits viele Flammkuchen gegessen, sogar im Elsass – aber dieser hier hat wirklich alle geschlagen. Knusprig, geschmackvoll und einfach sensationell. Auch die Weinempfehlungen waren ausgezeichnet und haben perfekt zum Essen gepasst. Der Chef ist super freundlich, aufmerksam und man spürt sofort, wie viel Liebe und Hingabe in diesem Lokal steckt. Für uns war es ein rundum besonderes kulinarisches Erlebnis. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Das Fleisch war gut und wurde wie gewünscht medium serviert. Der Service ist wirklich sehr engagiert und freundlich. Es hat aber nicht klick gemacht und Preis-Leistung ist am Ende nur befriedigend für mich.

Wir waren gestern Abend im Lokal (Freitagabends) ! Ohne Reservierung und wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen... Es wurde extra Platz geschaffen für uns. Die Bedienung war sehr authentisch und freundlich. Unserem englischen Familienmitglied würde alles erklärt. Die Weinempfehlung war top zum Entrecote! Das Fleisch selbst war eines der am besten zubereiteten Steaks das wir je gegessen haben! Wir waren alle sehr zufrieden und auch der Nachtisch war hervorragend! Wir waren rundum zufrieden und können jedem der in Nürnberg ein richtig gutes Steak essen will, den düren Hasen absolut empfehlen! Super Service!

Klein, fein, mein. Passt alles. Meine Favoriten: Salat mit Ziegenkäse und leichtem Honiggeschmack, Lende oder auch Flammkuchen und als Nachtisch: crème brûlée mit rosa pfeffer . lecker :-)

Wir waren in der Gruppe hier und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Lokal liegt etwas versteckt, aber bezaubert durch das besondere Ambiente. Der Service war professionell und sehr herzlich. Die verschiedenen Flammkuchen waren lecker, das Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis ist einwandfrei. Ein ganz großes Dankeschön an Mel, die sich um uns gekümmert hat. :-)

Super! Mega gemütliche Location, perfektes Essen. Sehr leckerer Wein. Lediglich der Kellner wurde leider etwas überrannt mit zu vielen zeitgleich eintreffenden Gästen. Klein und gemütlich, gut besucht (reservieren!), kleine Karte aber endlich mal etwas anderes als Schäufele und Bratwurst. Perfekt gebratenes Steak ohne Schnickschnack, die richtigen Beilagen, fairer Preis. Und fröhliche, motivierte junge Damen in der Bedienung! Ein echtes Highlight in Nürnberg.

Ein absolut zu empfehlendes Restaurant!!! Angefangen vom freundlichen Empfang, für Musik in angemessener Lautstärke, der Beratung bis hin zum wirklichen allerbesten Entrecote Steak welches ich seit langem serviert bekam. Ein Restaurant welches ich auf jeden Fall wieder besuchen werde.

Wow! Everything was absolutely perfect!!! The tarte flambée was, without exaggeration, the best I've ever eaten! Friendly and efficient staff! Nice atmosphere!

I've never eaten such a bad tarte flambée. It looks like it was vomited on. And it's made exclusively with onions, bacon, and crème fraîche.

This was the best place we ate in Nurnberg! The staff was attentive and the food was delicious. It is a smaller and intimate restaraunt. The salad was so fresh, the flambuken was so favorful, the steak was tender and the sides were amazing. I would recommend making a reservation if youre in Nurnberg. We will be sure to go again if we are back in town.

A definite recommendation for anyone who loves good food and genuinely friendly service. There were four of us, and we were served with wit and expertise. We received a very warm welcome in a beautiful setting – the tarte flambée (Parmesan, fennel, garlic, and pear) was the best we've ever had. Great job! We'll definitely be back.

We came across this cosy little restaurant whilst searching for a steak house whilst visiting Nuremberg. A great change from the touristy fare nearer the Christmas markets and centre of the town. Its location is off the main centre/square and up a steepish hill, behind the Catherdral. It is very unassuming from the outside. What a great choice, a small but delightfully cosy room, reminded us of homely Moorish dining room. Good atmosphere, all tables full of people enjoying their food. The menu is definately steak based, with a good selection of different cuts. Relaxed and friendly service from the staff. We had Beef tenderloin (UK called fillet) and a portion of grilled vegetables and roasted potatoes. Good glass of Primitivo each. Our steaks were absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection by a chef who knows how to cook his steaks. Succulent, juicy and great flavour, as its should be, no steak knives required! A good size and the star of the plate. The selection of vegetables could have benefited from a little more seasoning and perhaps with the option of some garlic infused oil to pour over them. We would definately recommend Durrer Hase, and will be back next time we visit Nuremberg. You will definately need to book your table at busy times.

A perfect evening. We happened upon the restaurant and were fortunate to get a table during the busy Christmas market. This is a cozy place with a quaint atmosphere and delicious food. Bother the mains — steak medallions and a flammenkucken - were delicious, but the vegetable sides were delightful as well so don’t miss those. The highlight of the evening was the wonderful, attentive service with good recommendations and friendly conversation. I can’t imagine a better place to dine in Nuremberg.

The steak was incredibly tender and delicious, especially with the accompanying herb sauce (like a kind of liquid herb butter). The tarte flambée was also paper-thin and tasty. The service was super friendly and the atmosphere very pleasant. Great music, and not too loud. The only downside was the desserts. The crème brûlée was too cold for me and the chocolate cake too dry. They were probably both prepared some time in advance.

We had an amazing meal at Dürrer Hase this evening. I ordered the ribeye and my wife ordered the sheep. To go with our meals, we had the roasted potatoes and the mixed vegetables. As far as food was concerned, everything was cooked to perfection. I was surprised by how well the meat came out. Without a doubt, I would dine here again. As far as service, Galeb, our server, and Sabri our chef (forgive me if I misspelled their names,) went the extra step to ensure that not only was our food delicious, but the conversation was fun and engaging. We may not be from around here, but I do know that the next time we come to visit, Dürrer Hase will be on our list of must-visit restaurants. Thanks, guys!

We had a reservation for four, went straight into the dining room, and were immediately greeted and seated in a friendly manner. The room was relatively small (reservations recommended) and therefore a bit noisy, but cozy nonetheless. The service was quick and genuinely friendly, the food was all excellent (the filet was amazing!), as were the drinks. I would rate the value for money as good; we'll gladly come back. It was a very pleasant dinner. Thank you!

Judging by the photos, we actually arrived with lowered expectations, but we left with full stomachs whose expectations were exceeded. Thank you for the wonderful evening! Food 5/5: We had the fillet steak, the flank steak, and all the side dishes. Service 4/5: One star deducted. The empty beer glasses remained on the table until the bitter end, even though we were already on our third round of wine 😁 Atmosphere 5/5: Not a traditionally pompous steakhouse, very simple, a small room in a house probably dating back to the 16th century, they made the most of it – we felt very comfortable.

The restaurant had good reviews and we would have loved to eat there, but unfortunately it's very small. I think there are about five tables. So be sure to make a reservation. But the lady was very nice and the place looked very nice.

It was a truly delicious and warm meal. We stumbled upon this restaurant because it was raining and cold. The servers were friendly, so we had a cozy meal. My parents were especially pleased with their meal, which made it even better. We ordered the Fl~~something with ribeye, lamb steak, and smoked salmon, and it was truly delicious. Koreans might want to order it cooked a little higher than medium. I like it rare, so I thoroughly enjoyed it. Anyway, it was delicious, so if you're visiting Nuremberg Castle, you should definitely try this place. Seriously, this meal made my trip to Germany feel warmer.

We've been regular guests here for two years now – we discovered it back then while looking for a really good steak. Since then, we've never been disappointed: consistently excellent quality, perfectly prepared steaks, and service that's a pleasure every time. For us, this restaurant is the benchmark by which all others must be measured – so far, no one has surpassed it. A huge thank you for the enjoyment and hospitality!

One of the nicest restaurants in Nuremberg's old town. A small menu, but excellent food – if you love steak, you should try it; the meat quality and preparation are excellent. The vegetables and salads are fresh and deliciously prepared and presented.

This one is a hidden gem. The Flamkuchen are all delicious - and there are vegetarian options. and the prices are very moderate. Also the wines are great. Food and wine arrived swiftly, and tasted delicious. Staff was very friendly, and checked if we need anything regularly. And we had no issues at all speaking English.

Super friendly service, and the steaks were fantastic. The ambiance, or rather the interior design, could be a bit more upscale and appealing. The fact that they don't serve wheat beer wasn't entirely understandable for us or our international guests. Otherwise, though, it was GREAT!

Our visit was in the evening to a very cozy little restaurant, we all had steaks and a mix of side dishes. The steaks were of good quality and excellently cooked perfectly as ordered, very well seasoned. There was coarse salt and chimichurri sauce. The side dishes were absolutely great, starting with the salad with a great dressing, the baked vegetables, the fried potatoes (it's rare to get something so good) and the star, the grilled peppers. A special compliment to the service, which was always attentive and friendly. It definitely won't be our last visit :).

Sunday evening rendezvous with three wonderful and unique women, chosen by the youth. Very friendly welcome and excellent advice from Mel, who was extremely chilled and in a good mood. Confident, extremely pleasant and always with the right saying. Unfortunately, this is far too rare. She really enjoys what she does. And when the kitchen does such a fantastic job - what incredible steaks those were!!!! - then there's no better way to end a weekend in culinary terms. Yesterday we went for dinner with 8 friends and were very impressed. Food was fantastic, every request was catered for. The service was first class, with great advice. It's definitely worth a visit. We're already looking forward to the next time.

Super quaint and small steak restaurant. The meat was gigantic, so the quality and cooking were absolutely top notch. The various tarte flambées are a nice alternative to the usual starters. The map is manageable, but that's a good sign. Service is warm and courteous. Come back, keep it up!

The food was absolutely delicious! Since we didn’t understand German, we used Google Translate to navigate the menu, which worked perfectly. The goat cheese salad was fantastic—quite large and definitely shareable. The medallion of beef was equally generous and shareable, and the oven-roasted vegetables were over-the-top delicious. To top it all off, the cappuccino was delightful. The staff was very attentive and genuinely concerned about whether we enjoyed our meal since we left so much behind—it was simply too much food for us to finish! A truly satisfying experience.

5 stars are not enough, everything fits here. Cool location, the food is awesome tarte flambée with dates is simply awesome. Then a beef fillet of the finest quality, great side dishes, peppers and vegetables are awesome. Chimichurri for the fillet and aioli for the shrimp, I have to say the same thing again, awesome. Creme Brulé, exactly awesome. I'll come back even if I have to drive 500 km. Almost forgotten, the service was extremely friendly and very competent.

Had a great experience at this place. Small and cozy with a friendly atmosphere. Food is great, we shared flammkuchen as starters, steak with roast potatoes and vegetables for the main course. Some of the party managed to get a custom order for dessert, really showed the flexibility of the staff. Prices are very reasonable both food and wine. Highly recommend

Great meat. Appreciate the limited menu. I had the entrecote, my wife had the filet, which come with chimichurri. Oven roasted potatoes and grilled paprika as our sides. Bottle of wine. Really cozy and good service.

Food was excellent. The tart / super-thin style pizza was as a real surprise and a treat. We had the pear and Gorgonzola and it was excellent - I thought it was going to be super filling but it was very light as a starter. Steaks were good also. Service was only minor let down - it wasn’t busy but we needed to flag someone down for everything we ordered (more drinks, the bill etc.)
