We've been here multiple times and ordered take out a few times, it's really lovely and the staff is friendly. The food is delicious too with great vegetarian and vegan options! Really recommend!

The food was mega! It could have been a little warmer, but it was actually a pleasant temperature, I just personally banned really hot food. The young waiter with brown hair was also very nice and helpful. Would come again as soon as we are back in Marburg!

957 reasons not to eat ramen at this place. Not very tasty. The chicken broth is not salty at all. The pork is terribly oversalted. It feels like you threw a mug of salt. The broths are empty. The noodles are overcooked. The chicken addition is a piece of batter with the skin on it. But they threw corn in as if it were corn soup. This is the worst ramen I've ever eaten. It's not even ramen, it's just some kind of soup in any form.

Food looked great before I ate it and was unique! It was a very full day, but the food still took a surprisingly long time. But it was worth the wait because, as I said, the taste was a 10/10

Unfortunately, both of our ramen were lukewarm and one was even cold. Even after complaining about the cold ramen and warming it up again, it was only lukewarm.

Service is rather chill. Food not warm. Ramen broth could be spicier. Missing paper in the toilet.

Food is always very good, service is nice and friendly. Personally, the place is a bit cramped for me. But it still somehow has its charm. In winter, however, the operator should find a solution for the doors. It was pretty cold.

There is no alternative in the area - this is the only ramen bar that I know of within a 50 km radius. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is chic. Everything has been going perfectly so far, except on my last visit when the soup arrived cold. But the friendly waiter with the mustache immediately took the soup back and brought it back warm. Great service!

Very tasty food, great service and good ambience. I recommend the fried chicken as a starter. Unfortunately, there is not enough air circulation, which is why you smell strongly of the food after your visit and the window even fogs up due to the high humidity.

We were here for the first time. Ambiance is great, nice little shop with a good view (if you get the window seat). Service was nice, everything was fine. The food was great, highly recommended!

I used to come here often when I lived in Marburg. Sometimes the okonomiyaki was a bit burnt, but the taste was just okay. But I absolutely love Tantanmen, I haven't found anything as tasty anywhere else. If I'm in Marburg again, I'll definitely come back

Had a great experience. Immediately after entering we met very friendly staff. The restaurant is very well known, so a table reservation is recommended. Tables can be booked via the website. We ordered gyoza and tantan ramen. There are also vegan dishes. The food also tasted very good. I would like to visit there again.

Sehr leckeres, authentisches und preiswertes Essen. Schönes Ambiente & nette Bedienung. Leider bei zwei Besuchen zwei verschiedene Fehler bei der Bestellung (falsche bzw. Toppings ohne sie bestellt zu haben) Alles in allem trotzdem sehr weiter zu empfehlen.

There were four of us eating. My companions had great food. Unfortunately I went wrong with a chicken curry. Unfortunately, the sauce only contained "traces" of curry, .....and chicken.... unfortunately there was only a single tiny piece in the sauce...after my friendly complaint, they brought me 2 fried chicken lumps, which were unfortunately unseasoned and dripping with fat. Unfortunately I had to return the food... I was still charged in full. "Because they had brought me a "replacement"...Something can always go wrong, but with this reaction to a legitimate complaint, a repeat visit was unfortunately unnecessary for me. The dining room is very loud, you almost have to shout at each other to have a conversation. Bad air and a certain confinement didn't exactly make it a comfortable evening. One less table would have been more. There is still a lot of room for improvement here. It didn't convince me. I really don't like writing negative reviews, unfortunately I have to make an exception here. Edit: sorry, your response to my review completely misses the facts and the reality of life... I continued eating slowly because 1. I wanted to eat WITH my friends and didn't want to finish my meal alone an hour later (incomprehensible to you?) and 2. I was expecting to get some curry chicken so that the dish would at least be worthy of the name. As a replacement, I got 2 lumps of unseasoned chicken with a very greasy breading that was still floating in the frying fat on the plate. Then I had the food returned because I noticed that a friendly complaint was apparently perceived as annoying. Now my question: Why wasn't the missing curry chicken delivered? Or are they only heating pre-cooked sousvide bags and you didn't want to tear open a new bag??? (Admittedly: speculation...but) this impression arises when you complain about a "steak" and then get a "schnitzel". Your suggestion that your dishes are more vegetable-dominant is downright ridiculous. The chicken meat had the volume of a third of a wine cork...Then please write on your card: Rice with brown sauce...may contain traces of curry and traces of chicken...and after your reply I would like to reduce my rating to one star because your complaint behavior subsequently matched the quality of my food.

I ate ramen here for the first time 3 years ago and have loved it ever since! I have never eaten such tender and delicious pork belly (unfortunately they don't share the recipe 🤣) Clear recommendation! No matter whether I took friends or work colleagues here, everyone was absolutely thrilled.

Buchung über OpenTable war einfach und zuverlässig. Essen (Rahmen) war unglaublich gut. Es hat fast 1 Stunde gedauert bis das Essen kam und ich hätte mir gewünscht nach einem weiteren Getränk gefragt zu werden. Zugegebenermaßen war der Laden aber auch rappelvoll. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

I had never had ramen before, but I had high expectations due to the full restaurant. Unfortunately there was no more room inside so we sat outside at -1 degrees, where we then waited 50 minutes for our food. Unfortunately the miso cream was disgusting, I almost had the feeling that the canned corn water had been reused. My only consolation was that my friend's food was even more disgusting. Instead of frame noodles there was spaghetti, but the service was nice.

War heute erneut in der Ramenbar. Wie immer sehr zufrieden. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und gerade an kalten Tagen tut ein leckerer Ramen sehr gut. Wir waren heute mit unserem Kind und ich muss sagen, auch sie war vom Essen sehr angetan und möchte wieder hin.

Prima Einstimmung in einen tollen Silvesterabend. Das Essen war sehr lecker und ansehnlich serviert. Das Personal konnte jede Frage beantworten und zu den Speisen beraten. Wir waren sehr zufrieden

Yesterday we spontaneously went to the Framing Bar in Marburg and were very positively surprised. The friendly welcome, a nice table, an extensive menu and competent advice from the waiter were convincing. The menu and recommended bites were outstanding in taste and presentation. Great value for money – we’d love to come back!

Service is great! Everything was very tasty! At €1.50 the Pak Choi should be more than two leaves. Unfortunately that was the case for both of us. But that's the only thing that wasn't worth 5 stars! Thank you for the lovely evening

We ate there with the family (5). Our table was pre-booked. Ages from 21 to 57. Everyone was thrilled. Nice atmosphere, special menu not only in form but also in execution. Great selection of dishes, options for variation. The food came very quickly and we were served very friendly. We will come back and recommend the bar. Very tasty fresh food, portions are very filling, you can eat with chopsticks, but also with cutlery.

Authentische Gerichte die nicht nur unheimlich lecker, sondern auch bezahlbar sind, verpackt in einen freundlichen, effizienten und trotzdem nicht aufdringlichen Service. The option on the website to reserve online is useful (also for special occasions) - but it loses its advantage if it is ignored. Unfortunately, my experience with the staff in both of my reservations was negative: a lack of willingness to accommodate the customer unfortunately extinguished any interest in giving them a third chance.

The food didn't necessarily meet my expectations. Not what I would have liked, but everyone has different tastes. The price was ok. Unfortunately, the ambience is just mediocre. Very loud when the restaurant is full. The service was good.

Been there for the 6th time. It simply tastes delicious every time and the ramen is at the top, even beyond the borders of Hesse. The chef is passionate and cooks with love, which is reflected in the food. My favorite are the Tan Tan Men. At the weekend it is best to reserve a table via the homepage.

I walked past the ramen bar while on a business trip today and was craving something warm because of my cold. The staff was extremely friendly and I didn't even have to wait 10 minutes until my soup was ready. My first ramen was super tasty. I chose Tantanmen with pork and chicken broth and didn't regret it. Highly recommended 😋

Disappointing experience for the price but friendly service. We were looking forward to a visit to the restaurant, but were unfortunately disappointed with the taste. The broth that was supposed to be the centerpiece of the dish was weak and barely flavorful - with no depth and no layer of oil, it just seemed bland. The noodles hardly absorbed any flavor and remained unconvincing. The toppings were presented rather carelessly: the pak choi looked as if it had simply been torn off and put in shortly before serving. My friend's natural tofu was gooey and completely unseasoned, which, together with the not very strong broth, made the whole dish seem pale. The pork belly was mostly fat, and the few strips of meat were tough and difficult to chew. Our starter, two onigiri, was also disappointing: very sparingly filled and mostly just rice. However, we would like to positively highlight the service, which was super friendly, fast and courteous - really great service! Nevertheless: For almost 50 euros we expected more overall and unfortunately we were not satisfied with the food. Due to our mixed experience, we unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant.

Nice little restaurant with delicious and authentic cuisine. Big praise to the friendly waitress (with the red hair). Cash and card payments are also possible for small amounts.

Top ramen bar with many other delicious dishes

The soup stock didn't have much of a strong effect, and the taste was a bit unsatisfying for Japanese people, but I still thought it was light and delicious. The chashu is very delicious. This is the chashu you should eat. All prices are reasonable. The menu is extensive, from snacks to ramen. It was full at lunchtime.

I had an excellent experience at this Japanese restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and rich flavors. The staff was incredibly friendly and made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Japanese cuisine!

Our visit with the children was a complete success as we all really enjoyed the food. I was particularly pleased by the variety of gluten-free dishes that were available despite my wheat intolerance. A return visit is definitely on our list!

I've been there several times and always found the food to be delicious (not the best ramen I've ever eaten, but definitely good and I was very happy to be able to eat ramen in Marburg). Unfortunately, I was there with my parents last August weekend just to eat ice cream (matcha & sesame). We also ordered a bottle of water. There were also 3 glasses with ice cubes. My mother put the ice cubes in my glass because she doesn't like them herself. The result was: my father and I caught something like Giardia lamblia or some other food poisoning, and in any case there was diarrhea and vomiting for one night and one day. Since we ate everything else straight away, it must have been the ice cubes or the ice cream from the ramen bar. It's a shame, the restaurant died for me.

Were there for the second time. My ramen was very good but my partner's dish was a bland pile of rice with chicken and a few carrots. Everything on and around the table was sticky, splashed and therefore somehow dirty. The service was good.

Good selection of authentic dishes, prices are okay. The dishes are hearty and tasty, although sometimes too salty. Unfortunately, the overall atmosphere in the restaurant was hectic. The food didn't come until about an hour later and another half hour later for one person at the table. The staff was friendly but scattered. Even making amends for the delay took a quarter of an hour to arrive. There were also hygienic deficiencies: the table was sticky and some of the cutlery was greasy.

Das Essen war gut, aber leider mussten wir zwei Stunden darauf warten. Ein Hauptgericht kam erst, nachdem alle anderen schon fertig waren und zwei Beilagen wurden vergessen. Die Bedienung war freundlich und bemüht, aber überlastet und die Küche kommt überhaupt nicht hinterher. Man sitzt leider sehr beengt und der Tisch im Eingangsbereich war doch eher ungemütlich. Ein weiteres Mal werden wir das Lokal vorerst nicht besuchen.

Unglaublich lecker, das Personal total freundlich und hilfsbereit; ich kann mich echt nicht beklagen. Nur 7€ für ein 0,2er Weinglas fand ich dann doch etwas zu heftig.

Very nice and fast service, the place to eat outside is very nice, a bit stuffy inside. Good vegan offer, although all ramen had meat with pork or pork broth. Otherwise delicious food and good value for money. Also nice location in the middle of the city.

By far the worst ramen we've ever eaten! The noodles were undercooked and stuck together in a huge lump at one end. The miso broth was far too salty, so that any aroma was skillfully masked and, contrary to the description on the menu, the egg was not inserted, but it was completely cooked to death...

Really cute place, friendly but not professional staff, and bad quality ramen. The ramen soup was way too salty for something that people supposed to drink. The noodles that was used are not ramen, more like “Asian egg noodles” in European supermarkets. Which was, over cooked. There are only two vegetables, one of them being not entirely fresh bean sprout and the other being the mais from can. My half egg was entirely cold when it was served, and also, very salty. When I told the waiter that the egg was cold, one of them said:” okay, at least you liked it.” And left. Described in another way, would be the same as going to a Italian restaurant and being served a pizza with taco bread and only mais and ketchup on top, with cold cheese. Don’t think it will be as acceptable since European people know how a good pizza taste like. I won’t come back again and will never recommend this place to another person. Especially if you are used to good east Asian food.

Very late. More than an hour to get tickets. Terrible service. You don't even enjoy the food anymore. Update. The person in charge lies and says that we received the tickets 20 minutes after the order. And he arrogantly argues that they are like that and that they did it perfect... If you want to receive this treatment, you know where to go... Success

The ramen was always delicious and the staff was always helpful. It makes sense to make a reservation (especially in the evening) if you want to eat on site, as the restaurant is very busy. However, as far as I know, reservation is only possible via a website, not by telephone. If you order food to take away, it can be transported using deposit-free reusable containers if you wish. I can highly recommend this location!

Son leeeentos. Pésimo servicio al cliente. Según ellos es nuestra culpa por pedir un plato elaborado de la carta. Muy tardado. Más de una hora para obtener las entradas. La comida después de hora y media llego y no estaba bien preparada. Al parecer son unos novatos jugando a tener un lugar serio. Nada recomendable.

We always come here from Wetzlar to eat ramen! The tables inside are very close together, you have to be able to handle that. When the weather is good you can also eat outside. Very nice service, great value for money and the most important thing: very, very tasty food.

One of the best ramen shops I've eaten at so far. The pork belly was so damn tender, it fell apart in your mouth. My wife had the salmon, which she also praised over the green clover. All in all a successful visit.

Einfach mein Lieblings Restaurant in ganz Marburg. Das essen ist immer eine 12/10 und schmeckt einfach fantastisch. Die Mitarbeiter*innen sind super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ambiente ist süß eingerichtet, im Sommer kann man super draußen sitzen, im Winter oder wenn es kalt ist, drinnen und am besten immer mit Reservierung weil, zu recht immer voll 😉.

There is very good and not expensive Japanese food here. However, the restaurant is very small and always packed, making it unsuitable for people with claustrophobia. You have to reserve about a week in advance. The waiting times are also long. Still a very good restaurant and worth recommending!
