The selected meal tasted very good and the service was excellent.

We were only there for cocktails, so I have no idea about the food. The cocktails were terrible. Watery and way too sweet, and also incorrectly mixed. For 3 euros at Ballermann, it would be understandable, but not for almost 10. BUT the service was very friendly and accommodating and offered us more drinks for free as compensation. Hence, one more star. The ambiance is good.

I went there with friends over the weekend for a burger. The change of ownership is clearly noticeable in the place. The waitresses seem more motivated, and a lot of attention to detail is put into the food. The food was reasonably priced and truly delicious. The ambiance still has room for improvement, but from what the friendly waitress said, renovations are due to start soon. I'm excited to see what the place becomes; I'll be back!

We waited more than 20 minutes for our food. The sweet potatoes and chicken thighs were burnt, and the burger was very dry. The dining room was far too noisy. The table wasn't cleaned until late, and we had to wait for the crumbs left by the guests before us to be wiped away. I feel like there's far too few staff here, which is why the service suffers. Even though it's an inexpensive restaurant, that doesn't excuse everything. Overall, unfortunately, a disappointment. Only the servers were friendly.

You can eat inside and outside, and it's always been incredibly delicious. I highly recommend the casserole; it's fantastic. I once had a hair on my food, and they took care of it immediately. I got my meal for free and a free dessert. The staff has always been super friendly, and you really don't have to wait long for your food. It's definitely worth eating there.

The burgers are okay, but neither particularly exciting in terms of taste nor selection. Those who eat here often quickly notice: little is happening. The menu has remained virtually unchanged for years, and creative innovations are hard to come by. It becomes even more striking when you look around: this restaurant is one of a whole cluster of establishments in the upper town run by the same operator. Plenty of choice – but ultimately, it's always the same. Anyone who controls so many addresses seems to have little incentive to actually work on quality or variety. The guests have to eat somewhere. What remains is a feeling of fast food with a gastro facade – solidly made, but lacking in ambition. Okay for a quick snack. For people who want to feel something while eating: not really.

The pan dishes, especially the salmon pan, are truly delicious. The service staff were also very friendly, attentive, and very helpful. However, there's still room for improvement. Unfortunately, it took a very long time for us to get our food, and then one of the ordered dishes came, followed by the other about 15 minutes later. This should really be avoided, because after all, you go out to eat together to actually eat together, not one after the other. For the delayed arrival of my dish, the waiter told me that I received a portion of rice as compensation (?), which was well-intentioned, but unfortunately, it didn't belong with my dish and didn't go with it, and I didn't want it that way. Unfortunately, my Coke wasn't carbonated either. Overall, it's a shame, because the food is really delicious and all of these are things that could easily be fixed. If the kitchen moved a bit faster, it would be a great location! The music could also be a bit quieter and perhaps more relaxed, but that's a matter of taste.

The chic ambiance suggests more than the food delivers. The Casanova salad, which the menu lists as featuring caramelized pears and a farmer's roll, actually had fresh pears instead, and the roll turned out to be a sliced burger bun with herb butter. The homemade lemonade "made according to a secret recipe" was also infused with Monin syrup. This was obvious when you walked right past the bottles on your way to the restrooms... Well, and then the restrooms. Both the entrance to the restrooms and the premises themselves are absolutely terrible. But the young waitress was excellent. Very attentive and truly professional in dealing with our criticism! Thank you again for that!

The full rack of spare ribs was a joke, but not bad. The side salad was soaked in vinegar and consisted solely of iceberg lettuce. The naturally cloudy beer was delicious. My partner had a Caesar salad—also almost entirely iceberg lettuce, and it should be called that! You can skip the visit. You can definitely eat better in Marburg.

While visiting family over the weekend, we ate at Felix. The friendly staff immediately pushed tables together for us (9 people). Drinks arrived quickly, too. The burgers were all delicious. We'd love to come back!

A Marburg cultural treasure! We've been eating there for years and are always impressed by the variety, quality, and friendliness of the service. We feel very comfortable and can only recommend the restaurant. The cocktails are a must on any visit to Marburg, and the burgers are amazing!

Food was ok but took a long time. Biggest issue was not having Mastercard or Visa available. Didn’t tell us at the start and then insisted on cash. Felt sorry for the waitress who had to deal with this. It seems that the owners are leaving in the past.

Not recommended! Apart from the nice service, it's a disaster. Burito without meat (even though it was ordered), without rice (according to the menu) and with only 2 sauces instead of 3. Almost all of it was returned because it was also inedible in taste. The cheeseburger was cold and the worst I've ever had. On a visit a few weeks before, the mayo was bad and the coffee latte was a Tchai latte. When I read the reviews here, I'm glad I didn't go to the toilet.

We were in Marburg for the first time today and had a very good meal at Felix. The service was very friendly and accommodating. We liked the atmosphere. Price-performance ratio was right and we were really satisfied and would be happy to come back.

We were there for dinner with 5 people and the conclusion was between 4/5 stars for the food. The service staff was friendly, quick and attentive. Just for ambience. It was okay in the restaurant so far, but the toilet area (women's/men's) needs to be done. Sorry, but there is a need for action.

Mexican stir fry was very very little and not spicy. Salmon casserole with pasta went like this, no sauce in that sense but pure cream, not seasoned. The waitresses are very nice but rarely seen. We found the atmosphere very nice but the food didn't make us want to come back. Too bad

All in all very bad. The food is really really bitter, baked potatoes don't taste good. + €3 for “a portion” of chilli con carne. 3€ for 1x tablespoon. The service really leaves a lot to be desired. They are neither really friendly nor do they really behave motivated towards their guests. The toilets and the "ambience" are terrible, even with the newer furniture it's still rancid. The walls are dilapidated, there are cobwebs everywhere. And the toilets are pure horror, especially for women. It stinks and is dirty. Definitely not again. Apart from that, it's not wheelchair accessible at all.

Changing cheap offers for decent food. The burgers were very good and inexpensive. The house beer is a slightly sour lager. However, the spare ribs are much too small. The full rack portion was more like a half rack. The coleslaw side dish was lightly sweetened and looked much 2-3 times larger than expected.

We were looking forward to a nice evening with good food, but the result was far from what we expected. The food: We ordered two large portions of spare ribs, a chicken burger, the shrimp pan and three portions of fries. The spareribs were only average in taste, and for just under 10 euros the portion was quite meager with only 5 ribs. The shrimp pan was the biggest letdown - it tasted like old shrimp and was absolutely inedible. A real no-go! The fries and the chicken burger were okay, but nothing special. The hygiene: When we went to the toilet, we were able to take a look into the kitchen - and the sight shocked us. We have never seen such a dirty kitchen. It was frightening and really spoiled our appetite. If we had known this beforehand, we definitely wouldn't have stayed there. This is definitely a case for the health department. The ambience: The ambience was okay, but nothing special - rather plain and simple. The service: The only plus point was the friendly service, which, however, could not compensate for the negative aspects. Health consequences: My wife and I had stomach pains after eating. Luckily the children are still doing well, but we hope that the symptoms will disappear soon. Conclusion: We will definitely not visit the "Felix" again. The food was disappointing, the hygiene was a nightmare, and the ambience was unimpressive. If you are looking for a good restaurant, you should give this a wide berth.

We were there at Pentecost 2024. The service was very friendly, but I found the space a bit cramped. My friend had a mushroom stir fry which I tried a few spoonfuls of. She became so sick that night that she spent most of her time in the bathroom. Since I also got diarrhea, but not that bad and after careful consideration of the cause, we came to the conclusion that it must have been the mushroom pan... Shame about the rest of the weekend...

We were in this location for the first and last time, I had the oven potatoes with chilli con carne and cheddar cheese gratinated. The potato was cold, the chilli was ok but only luke warm but the crowning glory was the cheese, a slice of cheap cheddar that probably only saw the microwave to bake on. Frozen churros that were fried for such a long time that you could hardly eat them, warm chocolate sauce that had never seen heat and cream from a spray can! The only good thing was the lemonade. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is also rather unappealing! The waitress was nice and asked every now and then whether everything would be okay, the waiter was a mistake! All in all, it may be a nice place for students who don't have high expectations, but it's not suitable for eating out.

Absolutely not recommended.

We went there for coffee and were about to leave. That was the last visit for the time being. The waiter's demeanor was simply subterranean. There was no greeting, everything took forever and every order was apparently overwhelming. Inattentive, unfriendly and hands IN your pants... I was there recently and was just disappointed. The waiter couldn't remember what we ordered - everything was dirty. The food was served cold and didn't taste as good as they said. Everything just takes forever, and in the end you realize that going to this restaurant was a mistake.

About the food: I ate the worst burger of my life here. The (chicken) meat was so "fried" that it was far dry and hard to chew. And the rest of the burger was wobbly and soggy. Unfortunately, the Felix Fries were very tasteless. The service: We arrived around 9 p.m. and asked straight away how long it was open and whether the kitchen was still open. It said: open until 11 p.m., kitchen still open. While we were still eating (around 10 p.m.), the doors were deliberately opened at the back so that it got colder by the minute and we ended up putting on our jackets at the table until we had finished drinking. We left at 10:30 p.m. and had to warm up again in our hotel...

We gently said to a server that our ribs are overcooked and the size is too small than the last time we visited(3rd picture shows the original size) I said it was too salty and that the menu was the same as the last time I visited, but the portions were very different. But the staff just said that the amount may vary from day to day. I guess there are no scales in the store. Even, The server didn’t mention about the overcooking🤦‍♀️ We were seriously disappointed about your feedback. I do not recommend here.

When ordering food, don’t split it into multiple portions; order it all at once! It takes a while to come out. The taste is truly just like a dog. There are a lot of different types of Aufrauf, so I recommend finding one in advance and deciding before going. If you're not sure, you can just order the normal Marburg Aufrauf or Felix Aufrauf.

Always happy to go there when I/we are/are in Marburg!

We found a spot outside. It's cozy there. The service is attentive and really friendly. We liked the food very much, great value for money. We found out that the restaurant has the same owner as in 1900, where the prices are similar. There were actually only two negative points: the car traffic passed right past the seats, and even a bus squeezed through the narrow alley. And inside, the walk up the stairs and the toilet itself didn't make the best, super clean impression. But it's not crucial. All in all, highly recommended. 👍

Unfortunately, my mixed salad was drowning in ready-made dressing :-( It was a single yellow “soup” and underneath the plate was full of water. Inedible, I didn’t eat it. The napkins in which the cutlery was wrapped looked the same as before Used once!! The table was sticky and wasn't wiped off. There was a drain next to our table that smelled of the same, and a trash can on the left :/ Oh yes, the mayo as a dip was forgotten, but unfortunately everything else was a disaster .

Yesterday I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Café Felix in Marburg. The ambience was pleasant and relaxed, perfect for a lunch break. The food was excellent – ​​I had the Marburg casserole. The portion was generous and the ingredients were fresh. I would particularly like to highlight the waitress Alexandra, who was extremely polite and attentive... I can definitely recommend the café and will happily come back when I visit Marburg!

Food was very tasty. Fries a bit much. It's a shame when so much has to be thrown away. We had burgers, 2x pan and 1x pasta. Food arrived hot and beautifully prepared after about 20 minutes. Toilets are up the stairs, which unfortunately weren't very pleasant (dirty) and in the restaurant there were also some cobwebs, piles of receipts in the corner, etc. which spoiled the otherwise cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately I didn't have a nice experience here. Been there several times now and it was actually quite solid. Prices and portion sizes are ok. However, I was there with friends and was asked whether they could be left out due to intolerance to certain ingredients. This was confirmed by the waitress and when we brought it she mentioned again that it was extra without the contents. When I cut it open it became immediately clear that it was exactly the same as the other portion and nothing had been adjusted... (We ordered exactly the same thing only with this one change). Either the waitress herself wasn't aware that this wasn't possible or didn't even pass it on... Whatever the case, then no more... Oh well, the table outside wasn't wiped down either, even though one corner was full of pigeon droppings. The cards were then simply placed around it...

Das Felix - ein Lokal in der Marburger Oberstadt besticht durch die Möglichkeit selbstgebrautes Bier im Pitcher zu trinken. Ansonsten ist das Essen ebenfalls lecker, wie überall haben aber auch hier die Preise deutlich angezogen. Der Außenbereich wirkt noch recht ansehnlich, beim betreten des Lokals riecht es aber zumeist nach schweiß und im hinteren Bereich des Restaurants hängen Kabel von alte Lautsprechern aus der Decke und man bekommt leider Lust direkt wieder zu gehen. Ich war nur auf Wunsch eines bekannten dort zu Gast und wäre ansonsten auch wieder gegangen. Wiederkommen werde ich nur wenn es draußen wieder warm ist oder drinnen ordentlich renoviert wurde.

War hier erste date mit big tiddy goth dirne aber leider wurde nix draus und sie schreibt mir nicht mehr😔

Super freundliche Bedienung aber hinten in der Ecke kein schöner Ort zum Sitzen. Die Toiletten und der Weg dorthin sind eine Katastrophe. Dreckiges Geschirr stapelt sich hinter der Theke.

Das Felix ist ein sehr schöner und immer wieder erfreulicher Ort um den grauen von Marburg zu entkommen. Eine Oberstadt, die so schön und perfekt ist, dass es mich juckt, wenn ich daran denke, setzt sich nur anhand des gutaussehenden und attraktiven bildungsbürgertums im Felix fort, ansonsten entspannt die Seele bei ein bisschen abgenutzten Speisekarte und einfachem aber gutem Essen. Wenn es nicht in Marburg wäre würde ich wiederkommen.
