The Emessa Lokma Restaurant is an absolute insider tip for Syrian specialties! I tried the Emessa Shawarma plate and Manakish there, and both were just incredibly delicious. The shawarma plate was perfect: tender, spicy meat, fresh side dishes and wonderfully aromatic sauces. The Manakish were also a highlight – freshly baked, with a fluffy dough and a wonderfully spicy topping. You can taste the quality and attention to detail in every bite. For anyone looking for authentic Syrian cuisine, Emessa Lokma Restaurant is a must. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

The four of us shared different dishes, mixed platter, shawarma, fatteh almkdous and shish taouk wrap; Halawet Aljibn was served for dessert. Every dish was superbly prepared and beautifully served. The food is freshly prepared and served in a very friendly and loving manner. We were thrilled and would love to come back.

We sat next to the toilet and the kitchen, and he placed the order books on the table. It was very urgent. We asked to change the place to the store next to it. He said, “This is for families only.” He said that your home is more expensive. What does it mean more expensive? What are we coming to eat for free? It seems that he chooses the locations of the tables according to his mood, even if the customer is a smart person I was a customer of the store, but I finished repenting Kind treatment is the most important thing I hope the respected shop owner knows about this

I discovered the shop on a stopover trip and late in the evening when I was looking for a snack. Average gyros/doner kebab plate at other stores for €11-14 and feeling completely overeaten or a really tasty shawarma with really cool pickled cucumbers?! Afterwards I turned around halfway to the main station because I liked it so much. Unfortunately, there is actually a deduction for cleanliness and HACCP - guys, you're doing really cool stuff and I'll definitely be back... But PLEASE pay attention to cleanliness: cut the meat from the skewer, then gather it up with a spatula, while you leave the second spatula lying around and place the poultry meat on the bread with the hand that also accepts the money? It doesn't have to be that way... Honestly? As a trained chef and food technologist, I have experienced much worse things and despite the (well-intentioned) criticism, I will hopefully still be your guest again soon 😉
