The Emessa Lokma Restaurant is an absolute insider tip for Syrian specialties! I tried the Emessa Shawarma plate and Manakish there, and both were just incredibly delicious. The shawarma plate was perfect: tender, spicy meat, fresh side dishes and wonderfully aromatic sauces. The Manakish were also a highlight – freshly baked, with a fluffy dough and a wonderfully spicy topping. You can taste the quality and attention to detail in every bite. For anyone looking for authentic Syrian cuisine, Emessa Lokma Restaurant is a must. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

The four of us shared different dishes, mixed platter, shawarma, fatteh almkdous and shish taouk wrap; Halawet Aljibn was served for dessert. Every dish was superbly prepared and beautifully served.
