Damas Haus in Aachen

We came to this restaurant two days ago, and this is our third time here. The food is good and the atmosphere is nice, but the problem is that all three times we've been here, our orders were extremely late. For example, two days ago we ordered broasted chicken, and they told us it would take a maximum of 20 minutes, but it arrived after 40 minutes. The same thing happened last time, and we only ordered shawarma then; there was no broasted chicken. Please hire more staff if you can't keep up. The restaurant should be ready for any order, even broasted chicken.

Unfortunately, my experience wasn't up to par. The prices are high compared to the taste and quality of the food. We usually buy a half-grilled chicken meal in Wuppertal for around €10, while they charge €17 for the same meal! The mixed kebab meal was €22, and the portion wasn't generous, and the taste was very average and nothing special. The waiter's service also needs improvement; he should be more polite. In addition, the drinks are expensive, with each glass costing €2.50. Honestly, I felt the restaurant's high rating was exaggerated, and the experience wasn't up to par for the price.

Unfortunately, our experience was not good. We ordered fatteh and shawarma, but the food quality was disappointing. The shawarma portion was very small and lacked proper seasoning. The fatteh tasted overly sour and was not enjoyable at all. The seating area was uncomfortable, and after leaving the restaurant, our clothes smelled strongly of oil and fried food, which was unpleasant. Considering the quality and overall experience, the prices are unreasonably high. Sadly, we would not recommend this place.

I've now visited this restaurant in Aachen twice because I really enjoy the food – especially the shawarma. Unfortunately, the service was unpleasant this time. We ordered five shawarma sandwiches, but my sister wanted to change the order slightly. The waitress reacted rudely, groaned in annoyance, tore up the order slip, and said, "Please decide first and then order." I think she's perfectly aware of how she behaved yesterday. The food is good, but because of the unfriendly staff, I'm only giving it 3 stars this time and won't be coming back.

Absolutely NOT recommended! We ate lamb there, and the hummus was smothered in lamb fat. My meat was grilled, burnt on the outside, and partly raw inside. That evening I vomited violently twice and was sick in bed the next day. NEVER again to Damas House, sorry!

The cuisine offers authentic flavors and well-balanced spices; however, there were a few off-key notes, with some bites slightly burnt. The dining room is friendly, but the wait is slow: there was a long wait to take the order and a typo (potatoes instead of rice), which was promptly corrected. The ayran was subpar. Restrooms could be better supervised. The card payment option is convenient. Overall, a positive experience: a generous "four" out of five. All it would take is streamlining the service, monitoring orders, and paying more attention to customer service to ensure your next visit is worthy of a five-star rating.

Shawarma doesn't taste good. Too expensive. In Cologne, shawarma costs €4 everywhere and tastes 100x better; here it costs €7. That's too much. It's not a döner kebab. Everything is more expensive than in Cologne and worse.

I traveled 10 km from Limburg to Aachen in order to taste delicious food, but unfortunately the Arabic shawarma tasted bad, it was very full of oil to the point that you would not be able to complete the meal. We were close to Aachen and I knew the restaurant and had a good reputation, so we decided to eat quickly and continue on our way, but unfortunately we waited for an hour for the food to arrive. In the end, the food was burnt. They changed the order and brought new ones, reducing the portions as much as possible. Before, we would get our order and it would arrive quickly, fill you up, and still have plenty of room on your plate. Come on to the treatment and atmosphere, there is nothing better or more elegant than this. Yesterday we went to the restaurant, we were 4 girls. Usually everything is excellent except yesterday. The food was good but not clean. I had a hair in my food and the Lebanese employee’s manner was very rude and impolite. We asked her if it was ok to sit until the order was finished. She got angry and said, “What do I have to do with you? Seriously, this is the last time.”

My wife and children and I went to this restaurant and had to wait over 40 minutes. Each time, we were told our food was coming soon, while other guests who arrived after us were served much faster. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and tasted bad. The service was awful, and the server was rude and disrespectful—he even said, "If you don't like it, there are plenty of other restaurants in Aachen." The prices are high, and the food was not nearly as good as the positive reviews suggest. I will never visit this restaurant again and will report it to the health department.

To be honest, we went to Beit Al Sham Restaurant, and it was a wonderful and successful visit. The food was delicious and wonderful, and the broasted chicken tasted amazing. I haven't had such good food in a long time. The service was very good, and they took care of us when they learned we were from the Frankfurt area. I highly recommend it, based on my experience.

We ate in a corner opposite the entrance. I was embarrassed in front of my uncle. They were eating in a restaurant in a garage. We traveled a distance because they directed us to this restaurant.
