We ordered a vegetarian dish and one with chicken. Both tasted fantastic, the meat was incredibly tender, and the food was presented with care – presentation is key! Very, very tasty. We had the small appetizer platter, the grilled platter, and minced meat skewers. They also had a delicious garlic dip. The lamb and chicken skewers were very tender. The minced meat skewers were nice and fluffy. The fries were crispy and wonderfully seasoned. The eggplant dip, hummus, and walnut paste were also excellent. We received very friendly and courteous service. We will definitely come back here again.

This restaurant is probably what really made me fall in love with Arab cuisine. Everything here is delicious, affordable, and exquisite. The service is also very fast. I must say that before I was not such a big fan of Syrian cuisine, but after the hospitality I was treated with, the service I was provided with and the quality of food, I must say that I love the culture. After trying the food and getting to know the people who run the restaurant, it has made me want to visit Syria one day.

On August 20, 2025, I ate at Emessa with my niece. Neither of us knew it. We love oriental cuisine and were happy to try a new restaurant. Based on the others' descriptions, we can only give it positive reviews! I had a great time even on the phone to make the reservation, and the whole evening went like that. We had the appetizer for two and the grilled platter for two. I've rarely eaten so well. For the first time, I enjoyed the eggplant cream. Finely seasoned, with a light smoky flavor. Simply fantastic! The main course continued with its fine flavor. The meat, whether chicken, lamb (it was okay, it was lamb fillet; others can do it dry), or even the minced meat skewers: everything was well grilled, juicy, and finely seasoned! Coupled with the friendly service, it wasn't just a restaurant visit, but an experience that will linger. A quick note on the ambiance: The owners can't help it. Kaiserplatz is large and loud. We had a great time and blocked out the ambient noise. But other guests have also had nothing but positive things to say. So make a reservation and try it out!!! The best restaurant in Aachen if you want to enjoy delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. The service and staff were extremely friendly and responsive. From the vegan appetizers like soups and hummus to the dessert, everything was made with love. Cleanliness and hygiene were always taken care of. I personally found the prices very reasonable. With the large selection of food and drinks, everyone is well catered for. It was sweet to see how families with small children were taken care of. A must-visit!

We started with small appetizers to share, followed by a hearty main course with skewers of deliciously seasoned minced meat grilled on charcoal with our choice of rice (or fries). The service/owner was excellent, pleasant, attentive, and very friendly. Highly recommended. Perhaps not unimportantly, the food offers excellent value for money.

The manakish (Arabic pastry filled with cheese, za'atar, or paprika paste, etc.) is delicious. They were still warm when delivered, and the shawarma was also very tasty. I haven't been to the restaurant in person yet; I've always ordered and had it delivered, but I've generally never been disappointed in terms of taste and service. Arabic food at a reasonable price. I ordered the plate in the picture. It was a chicken durum. The meat inside resembled a doner kebab, but it wasn't one—real doner kebabs are made with chicken breast. This one was more like chicken thigh meat and tasted like it had been prepared beforehand and then simply reheated. To be honest, there were more pickled vegetables (gherkins, etc.) than meat in the durum. I'm someone who loves food and has tried many cuisines from around the world (including Syrian), but this plate wasn't my cup of tea. I wouldn't recommend it. The salad was good. The fries had a nice aroma and a tasty mix of spices, but unfortunately, they weren't warm. Also, I don't believe the Google reviews are real—they don't seem authentic. Even 3 stars is too much for a business that can't tolerate or accept criticism.

Der Besuch im Restaurant Emessa Lokma war einfach atemberaubend! Das Essen war exquisite ,wobei man sich vor Geschmacksexplosionen nicht retten konnte. Das gesamte Essen war überaus schön angerichtet und hat umso leckerer geschmeckt. Insbesondere die Grillspieße sowie das Shawama war eine absolute 12/10 ,absolute Verzehrempfehlung! Abgesehen davon waren die anderen Speisen ebenfalls köstlich, weswegen man sich kaum entscheiden konnte, was nun am besten schmeckt, da jedes Gericht einzigartig gewesen ist. Das Personal ist zudem extrem gastfreundlich und zuvorkommend, sodass man sich in dem gemütlichen Restaurant sofort wohl gefühlt hat. Ich werde definitiv in Zukunft ein treuer Kunde sein und empfehle jedem einen Besuch im Restaurant Emessa Lokma ,um sich von den Syrischen Spezialitäten selbst überzeugen zu können!
