We were traveling to Hanau with 7 people to say goodbye to a colleague. In order for the colleague to be able to leave properly, a FOUNDATION had to be created. We stopped at the “Zum Bitburger” restaurant. For me it was the first visit to you. I immediately felt comfortable. Rustic and comfortably furnished. Lots of dark wood. Seats around an old tiled stove. Several small seating niches. Class. None of the huge eating temples. Cool. There was also CHEF himself behind the bar. Nice and talkative. The colleagues immediately had a drink in their hands and quickly they went to a suitable table. Just sat down briefly, arrived and then went to order the food. I had the spicy grill plate. 4 colleagues had 2 house plates for 2 people each, the colleague had the hot pan with chicken fillet and the last colleague had the vegetarian hot pan. The dishes were all served early and with little in between. It smelled great and looked very tasty. Except for our colleague, we were all pleased with the quantity and quality of the food. She was very disappointed. Price-wise, their portion size was a bit incomprehensible. This was also communicated by her. Overall she liked it, but the price difference spoiled her enjoyment. She probably didn't really get full either, as she also got something from her colleagues with their house plates. My food was very tasty and spicy. As stated. Great rice. Juicy meat. I think you will also take a look with your own family. The restaurant is worth a visit.
