El Bigote in Hanau is truly something special. Coming from a Mexican family and often missing my abuela’s cooking, I was immediately transported home the moment I walked in—the smell alone wrapped me in comfort. Then came the horchata and birria tacos, and I was done—overjoyed! Everything tasted authentic, made with love, and reminded me of family gatherings back home. It was a wonderful experience for me and my whole family, and I know I’ll be a regular here. El Bigote feels like home. 🌮❤️

Muy mala experiencia – now more. Habíamos reserve for the despedida of our companions. The woman who has been living since she has no hand in the manera has a lot to do with the principle. A four-day meal, in a local language and with only two people working, you can see a time and media alone to eat the food. Cuando le preguntamos por la demora, en lugar de disculparse, nos habló muy mal y me atacó verbalmente. This is absolutely unacceptable and a pésimo service. No recomiendo para nada. Very bad experience - never again. We had made reservations for colleagues' farewell party. The woman, who appears to be the owner, was very rude to us from the start. On a Friday evening, in a crowded restaurant with only two servers, we had to wait an hour and a half just to order our food. When we asked why it was taking so long, she didn't apologize but spoke to us very rudely and verbally attacked me. This is absolutely unacceptable and the service is terrible. I don't recommend this restaurant at all.

I made a reservation and waited 30 minutes for them to take my order, just a juice... 20 minutes for it to be delivered. Then, an hour later, we waited for them to take our order while we were sitting down to eat. This cost us two hours. In the end, we went to ask why they wouldn't take our lunch order, and the lady treated us very rudely, saying they had other people; it wasn't really full... bad attitude. I don't recommend it. It's also a bit pricey compared to good Mexican restaurants.

Completely unassuming from the outside, a huge surprise awaits you inside. My wife and I love eating out and trying new things, and everything here was simply perfect. The owner was incredibly friendly, and the staff were just as great, just as you'd hope. The food was truly amazing, and the portion sizes were fantastic. We'll definitely be back for an evening with live music; we want to experience that sometime. So if you like delicious food and authentic Mexican cuisine, you can't miss this place.

The real deal! I'm sitting in the restaurant now after just finishing my meal (Tacos de Carne Asada) and couldn't wait to give this a solid 5 stars and a glowing recommendation. Native Floridian living in Germany and I've sorely missed authentic Mexican cuisine. This place nailed it. Homemade salsa, perfectly cooked meat, timely service and a very clean restaurant. 10/10. Best Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten at. 🤩 Very nice atmosphere to sit and enjoy. The hostess answered all questions about the food in a very friendly and helpful manner. Overall, the service was excellent. The selection of cocktails is very diverse, and the ones we drank were also very tasty. The food, however, is the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. No comparison to other Mexican chains or restaurants. You can tell that the owners are of Mexican origin and offer truly authentic cuisine. My recommendation would be the Tacos de Birra or Quesabirra. Mexican tacos with beef that's been braised for 7 hours. Really worth recommending. The price/performance ratio is absolutely perfect. An absolute recommendation for Mexican lovers. We will definitely eat here more often.

We ate there for the first time because of the good reviews and were disappointed. The nachos and sour cream tasted of nothing, simply bland. The burrito also has a lot of room for improvement. The service was nice, but the atmosphere isn't like a Mexican restaurant, but rather a simple pub. The tables are far too close together, so you can hear everything from the next table. We won't be coming back.

We weren't satisfied at all. At first it took forever before we were even served. Then it took forever for the food to come and it was really bad. The steak New York style was total Sinewy! The coleslaw was not homemade. The leftover food (enchiladas) that I wanted to take with me was thrown away. It took 20 minutes from “the invoice please” to payment. All in all very annoying, especially at your own birthday dinner!

If you love authentic, traditional Mexican food, this is the place for you! The dishes are super tasty and prepared with a lot of love. We will definitely be back!

There were seven of us in the restaurant for dinner and we were thrilled from the start. We were warmly welcomed and served, we never had to wait long, the food was really tasty and the atmosphere was really cozy. Absolutely recommended.

It's not a huge restaurant, but the atmosphere is rustic and has typical Mexican motifs. The service is friendly, quick and explains what you are ordering. The food is typically Mexican, like home-made. Not like you might know from a fast food restaurant. The only drawback is that you have to look for parking spaces.

We were here for the first time at the weekend and ordered up and down the menu. From steak to burrito to quesadillas, nachos and fajitas, everything was there and everything tasted great! We were served very courteously but not intrusively throughout the evening. Simply a thoroughly successful evening, we will come back. :)

Thank God no Tex-Mex 😍 Six months ago we wanted to see if there wasn't an authentic Mexican restaurant outside of Frankfurt and happened to come across El Bigote - the name Steakhouse is very misleading! Been there once and has been our favorite restaurant in the area ever since! We have been there over 4 times now and really enjoy every bite, the food is divine!! Agua de Fresa and de Horchata top everything and the service is super nice! Whether it's enchiladas, tacos, burritos or something else, everything is excellent and the portions are really more than fair for the price!

Were there on Wednesday with 6 hungry men. Everyone was enthusiastic, had their fill with excellent dishes and had a lot of fun in great conditions. Definitely coming back🇲🇽

The first time here and absolutely 100% satisfied, everything was fresh, people often asked if everything was ok. It was my wife's birthday and there was a cocktail and a cake with a candle and appropriate music. Very, very friendly hosts, even the chef came to the table to congratulate. So we'll be back. PS: In another review it only said cash payment, that's wrong, EC card is accepted.

Very tasty food (great taste and everything fresh), excellent service and great ambience. There were 4 of us, we came all the way from Hofheim and we weren't there for the last time! The service staff often asked if everything was OK and had a great overview. After the starter, we were also asked whether the kitchen could prepare the main course or whether we should wait. Guests and hospitality come first there. Definitely worth the visit!!!!!

Two weeks ago, the four of us treated ourselves to a delicious dinner at El Bigote. Just like on our first visit, everything was top-notch, including the service, atmosphere, food, and drinks! The staff is extremely friendly, yet efficient and concerned about the well-being of the guests! This American from the Southwest is very familiar with authentic Mexican food; the portions are generous, and the Margheritas are a dream come true! I'm already looking forward to enjoying another lovely evening there with friends and family! Reservations are recommended. It's best to arrive with a designated driver as a precaution.

We ate here for the first time today because of the good reviews. We received a very friendly welcome. The waiters were all very friendly and accommodating and answered our questions about the food with great expertise. I had four tacos quesabirra, all generously tossed and delicious. My wife had the tostadas trio, which was also generously tossed and also delicious. For dessert, we had the dessert trio with churros, New York cheesecake, a flan, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The wait for the food was very short despite the restaurant being very busy. All in all, we were completely satisfied and would gladly come back. Thanks to the team for a lovely evening. 😊

A very nice Mexican restaurant. The food is simply delicious; you can tell the chef is from Mexico, and many of the ingredients come directly from Mexico. The service at the bar is also excellent, the cocktails are delicious, and the specialty spirits on offer are excellent. We just found our Mexican food very tasty. Both the starters with baked nachos and albondigas in chili chipotle sauce and the main courses with burrito de tinga de pollo and quesadilla tinga were well seasoned but not too spicy. In addition, a nice restaurant and friendly and attentive service. A very nice evening.
