I've been an occasional guest for decades and now I finally have to write a review: yesterday I sat on the terrace in the wonderful evening sun. First at the top with a view of the Moselle, then at the bottom protected from the wind in the Blumenmehr. I drank a delicious Viez (apple cider) and ate the traditional Tläipen with tar table. Good ingredients, blood sausage, onions and apple slices deliciously braised, puree and sauerkraut with solid craftsmanship. Such a simple, rustic meal, but jaw-droppingly delicious! Finally, a compliment to the service lady who had the terrace under control in a friendly manner.

Food was really very good. The onion soup is a dream. The fruit cup for dessert with cappuccino almost like you're on vacation. Prices are of course a bit high. Only the atmosphere was a bit depressed by the character of the hall.

A huge advantage for people with celiac disease: there are gluten-free pizzas and gluten-free pasta here. The service is also very friendly. The quality of the food was good (we had pizza and spaghetti). Only the atmosphere is not particularly inviting. It is then more worthwhile to pick up the food or have it delivered.

Quaint and cozy restaurant, with very typical and extremely tasty Palatinate dishes. We sat outside in nice weather, which was really pleasant.

Inexpensive food and good service Today we had meatloaf from an open fire. Sven at the fire and Erika and Claus in the kitchen.

Hier gibt es die besten halben Hähnchen im Umkreis. Das Ambiente ist urig und gemütlich. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist auch gut und die Bedienung nett.

Unter 8 Personen nur Überraschungsmenü oder a la Card auswählbar, wobei nur max 2 verschiedene Menüs möglich waren. Getränke waren teilweise warm und nach einer bestellten Flasche Bier die Biersorte gewechselt werden mußte weil nur eine Flasche davon da war. Ebenfalls eine kalte Cola bekommen, dann war keine Coka Cola mehr da und es gab eine warme Flasche Fritz Cola die ohne Eis im Glas serviert wurde. Dafür war im Bierglas Eis zum warmen belgischen Bier. Küche nur sehr unorganisiert und Theke schlecht betreut. Neben überteuerten Überraschungsmenüs war nur für alle a la Card möglich. (entweder oder) aber nicht mehr als 2 unterschiedliche Menüs. Und das für 8 Personen. Die sog. Regeln im Restaurant hätten bereits bei der frühzeitigen Reservierung erklärt werden müssen, dann wäre es nicht zur Reservierung gekommen. Deshalb fällt mein Fazit auch entsprechend schlecht aus.

Open from Friday to Sunday. Food A1, especially the rump steaks are highly recommended. Everything is prepared personally by the chef, who has learned this from scratch and has been doing it for what feels like 100 years. The restaurant is quaint but cozy. We always go to Hermann and Christa when we are nearby. The gentlemen are older and accordingly you should show consideration. She is special, but if you know her it works. Still working at that age deserves respect. Great hiking trails all around and panoramic views around the corner.

The atmosphere and ambience were very nice. Drinks solid. We had tuna tartare three times as part of the menu, which not only looked unusual but also tasted strange. The Boeuf salad was carelessly prepared, brown and wilted (“market-fresh lettuce”, no sunflower seeds, cucumbers or shallots, the next table had also complained about the salad), with shapeless lumps of meat instead of strips. Our complaint wasn't really taken seriously and we were offered a schnapps to combat the indigestion that had already started. The Tatar employed two people at night, and there was no response to the bill. Unsatisfactory, unfortunately.

Great service, a nice boss and very good food

Loved the food and service here. It was a great place to try some German food and beer. The staff were also very helpful in ordering a taxi for us.

Wir haben verschiedene Vorspeisen und auch unterschiedliche Hauptgerichte gehabt, auch die von uns ausgesuchten Weine war entsprechend vielfältig. Alles hat uns gut geschmeckt. Sehr praktisch fanden wir die Option, beim Wein auch unterschiedliche Glasgrößen (0,1 / 0,2l) auswählen zu können. Im Laufe des Abends wurde es schnell voll und wir waren froh, dass wir reserviert hatten.
