I wouldn't go back to this hotel. It's incomparable to the Ringhotels I've visited in terms of amenities, dinner, and especially the breakfast buffet. The hotel itself is showing its age, and the pool looks bare and uninviting. It was also barely busy when we were there. We only met two other couples at dinner during our girlfriends' weekend! A positive mention was the two very friendly ladies serving.

Restaurant “Sandplacken” Unfortunately, our visit to the “Sandplacken” restaurant was anything but positive. The first impression was not very inviting: the entrance is not clearly visible, so we had to stand around and get our bearings. Even though there were only three tables occupied, we were ignored for quite a while until someone finally noticed us. The food was also mixed. While some dishes were fine, there were clear flaws: a rump steak that was supposed to be medium rare was served completely cooked through. However, the worst moment came when paying. As soon as you entered the restaurant, you could see “cash only” notes on the doors. One of our companions paid with a 20 euro note and four euros in 20 cent pieces. The waitress accepted the money, visibly annoyed, but then the landlord came and completely freaked out. He complained loudly that paying with loose change was “insulting.” The situation escalated to the point where he was yelling at us and being extremely disrespectful towards us. We were stunned. Such unfriendly treatment of guests is unacceptable in the catering industry. If you value a pleasant restaurant visit, you should avoid this restaurant. Unfortunately we cannot recommend it.

Delicious food and very friendly service

We've been here for dinner several times. Always super tasty. Very friendly staff too. The owners are so warm and friendly. You can happily drive there for an hour.

Waren zum ersten und letzen mal dort. Bei deutlichen minus Temperaturen draußen, war es im Lokal sehr kalt - Wirt hat behauptet "das wird gleich". Gegenteil war der Fall, lauwarme Heizkörper, wurden ganz kalt. Wir hätten gehen sollen. Keine Entschuldung, kein bedauern. Essen war gut und Portion großzügig. Auffällig war noch , wie ungepflegt und ungewaschen die Kleidung des Wirts und des Kellners wirkte, der auch lässig Putzlappen auf leere Wasserkästen warf, um diese dann wieder zu benutzen. Kann man nur hoffen, das in der Küche sauber gearbeitet wird.
