Rustic and a bit like "grandma's"

We spent a wonderful evening. The restaurant is very stylish and furnished with great attention to detail - modern but not uncomfortable. The dishes were all excellent and I can't say which of the 5 courses was the best. It was really a taste explosion. The wines were perfectly matched. The service was attentive but not stiff. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was rich and delicious...

Little insider tip in the heart of Riet. High quality food and correspondingly good service. What fascinated me most was that the menu said veal schnitzel and there was also a pork cordon bleu, but the chef was flexible enough to conjure up a cordon bleu for me from a veal schnitzel, which was incredibly tasty. We'll be back.

Cozy room in 80s style - exactly my taste. The innkeepers are very nice and the food is great. We got ouzo and vanilla ice cream on the house. Very accommodating. We'll be back.

The food is only to be recommended, everything was good, we had the buffet. Staff very attentive.

Located in the Vaihingen pedestrian zone. I've only eaten there once before and unfortunately the chef must have fallen in love because the noodles were very salty. I was very hungry, but I couldn't finish the huge portion, so you can safely eat it as a main course. The pasta was otherwise tasty, al dente and actually the sauce was good too, apart from the salt content. When I paid, I mentioned that I found the noodles borderline salty - without any ulterior motive, just as feedback. I was then given a waiver of the pasta, which I find very accommodating and customer-friendly! Service was great: quick, polite and very friendly. Location: Some smaller tables in the back area for 2-4 people each, unfortunately I don't know if there are more. In summer there is also seating outside. The decor is a bit too kitschy for my taste, but I still felt comfortable. Conclusion: will come back!

Top food and roast onion a dream…

We were the first when the restaurant opened in the evening. 10 minutes later the parents came and an hour later we got our food. People who came after us got their food earlier. Such long waiting times without there being a lot going on are simply not possible. The food wasn't even really warm or particularly good, so that's no excuse. We were there for the first and last time.
