A nice little breakfast in the middle of Untertürkheim, a district of Stuttgart. Lovely designed Interieur, cozy atmosphere. Plenty of vegan and healthy menu items. Service is a little too subtle, it takes a while until the meal is served.

Top service. Very nice. Really good food. We didn't expect that and went there several times. We'd be happy to come back when we're in the area again.

Wo der drittklassige Szeneitaliener kaltlächelnd 20 Euro für eine Margarita aufruft, wo das „Metro Chef Tiefkühlgemüse“ beim Thai (oder war’s beim Vietnamesen?), schon mal als „Thai Curry“ durchgeht, wo der „Zwiebelroschtbraten“ die kulinarische Premiumkategorie darstellt, da ist Stuttgart. Lukullisch selbstgefällig, handwerklich durchschnittlich, konzeptionell phantasielos und dabei preislich sehr, sehr selbstbewusst. (Den Satz könnte man 1 zu 1 auch auf die KfZ-Schmieden in den Stuttgarter Seitentälern beziehen.) Doch es schimmert Hoffnung. Das „Waldhorn“ von Caroline Autenrieth und José María González Sampedro in Rohr ist eine davon. Und das „Basta“ im Bohnenviertel eine zweite! Man erlebt dort: eine einfallsreiche (französisch inspirierte) Karte ohne Selbstgefälligkeiten, einen aufmerksamen, herzlichen Service, Weine mit Bodenhaftung, ein Küchenteam mit Kompetenz und kreativer Sicherheit. Alles nicht selbstverständlich im Kessel und drumrum. Wer jetzt glaubt, dafür seinen Bausparvertrag auflösen zu müssen, wird ebenfalls staunen und sich sagen: Da geh ich doch zweimal im Monat hin! Oder dreimal. Spart man sich eben die „Quattro Stagione“ bei Filippo für 28€.

In summer you can also sit outside. Portions are also significantly larger than at other restaurants, which are also more expensive.

Our women come here regularly to bowl. We men are allowed to play once a year 😁 and then we go to dinner. The food is good, traditional and recommended.

Doner is tasteless. The counter is dirty. Prices are affordable.
