I've been to the Hirschen in Strass a few times now.
The food tastes delicious, especially chicken with 🍟 and salad
Tastes great. Prepared with love
Keep it up 😀😀😀😀🍗🍗🍗
We were very satisfied there in 2023 and therefore wanted to go back this time.
Listed on Google with the known opening times, we make our way there and find older pieces of paper on the closed bar with the information:
“Closed for health reasons”
It's a little far from the city center, so I don't go there often, but it's very delicious.
Japanese food in Düsseldorf is mainly served by German customers, and as a Japanese person, I often find the taste a bit off-putting, but here you can enjoy Japanese soba.
I think it's worth the effort.
A very original building in the center of Dusseldorf. A multi-level green pyramid, which makes an ordinary location in the shopping district of the city interesting.
We were there right after the holidays.
There are enough parking spaces directly in front of the door, free of charge.
When you enter, the restaurant looks cozy and everything fits.
The lady in service was friendly.
It should be mentioned that it wasn't the nice Italian lady...
Everything went well when ordering drinks, but we had to wait longer for the main course. Everything was fine but since there wasn't much going on, we just noticed it.
For starters, we can recommend the grilled vegetables, as well as the homemade Maultaschen.
However, the kids' starter was forgotten. They got their main course straight away while everyone else had the starter.
We then canceled the starter.
We generally appreciate restaurants that serve children's menus first to keep the kids happy, but something must have gone wrong here in the communication with the kitchen.
There is nothing to complain about in terms of taste when it comes to the main courses, the portions are completely ok.
We ordered everything across the board and everyone was happy.
Unfortunately the “season” salad was served without potato salad. It was only when we asked that we were told that it was out.
It was the same with the salmon in Pasta Salmone. After ordering, we were suggested to switch to prawns as the salmon was out.
There was only mayo with the fries, ketchup was also out. Not so great for children.
We understand that one or two things will run out in the kitchen after the holidays, but we would have liked to have received information about this in advance. As a suggestion for improvement, as I said, we understand.
You can't go wrong with the desserts either. From Schomlauer Nockerln to a simple scoop of ice cream, there is something for everyone and very tasty.
In summary, it was a pleasant visit to the restaurant with delicious food, good service and a relaxed atmosphere
Nice, small restaurant with a Swabian snack menu and simple dishes from burgers to schnitzel to kässpätzle.
Sausage salad was huge and very good. The Kässpätzle were also very good. Service was quick and friendly. Only the pepper and salt shakers could be replaced or at least cleaned 😉. But all in all it was appropriate for the price and definitely worth a visit in summer with the large terrace.
We celebrated my 60th birthday in February 2025 in a small circle with family and friends in the “Alt Sandow” in Cottbus.
Both we and our guests felt very comfortable in the small room. The entire Sandow team, including the boss and the waitress, were all very friendly, open-minded and competent. All of our guests felt comfortable, everyone was more than sufficiently full, no one had anything to complain about or missed anything, everyone was very satisfied and happy. It was a beautiful day there. Thank you for that 👍❤️
