We celebrated our birthday here. The table decoration alone made it an unforgettable evening. The food was really tasty and the service was super friendly. Gladly again.
We ordered several dishes. One was schnitzel with fries. When we ordered, they read out that the salad was included. After we picked up the order and sorted the bill, the side salad was listed separately. When we asked about it, they were extremely unfriendly and excused themselves by saying the menu was outdated.
So in the future, we'll order from somewhere else. Everyone else should be warned and check their order immediately, especially if they're ordering from an older menu.
We always enjoyed going there and ordering from there.
Now that the friendliness is no longer there, we no longer order from there. Luckily, there are countless other good pizzerias. Then we'll just stop supporting the locals.
It was my wife's birthday and she wanted a meal at an Italian restaurant. So I was there for dinner with my wife and her sister. The atmosphere doesn't seem inviting. There's always this kind of recorder tinkling over the speakers. We had reserved for 6:00 p.m. It took 10 minutes until we were assigned to our table and another 20 minutes until we received the menus and could order our drinks. After another 15 minutes the waitress came to take our order. Just as we were about to place our order, the waitress said, "Wait a minute, I'll be right back," which then took another 5 minutes. After 10 minutes he brought us a bottle of Teinacher, even though we had ordered Pelegrino. It was said that Pelegrino was out. The bottle was simply placed on the table. It was neither opened by the waitress nor poured. The ravioli with truffles in cream sauce was just heated cream with no taste and the filling of the ravioli was something indefinable that tasted like nothing. Neither salt, pepper, truffles... just NOTHING. The seafood on my spaghetti was from a jar. The tomato sauce, which was simply heated strained tomatoes, tasted terribly sour because, in my opinion, they simply added the vinegared seafood along with the broth. My sister-in-law only ate a quarter of the pizza because she didn't like it. In short... paid almost €100 for inedible food and a really terrible ambience. Never ever!!!!
The Ristorante Da Peppe Reiterstube in Ottmarsheim is a real insider tip for lovers of Italian cuisine. Here, authentic food meets a cozy, family atmosphere.
Particularly noteworthy are the fresh, homemade pasta dishes, which are prepared with a lot of love. The pizza also impresses with a crispy base, spicy tomato sauce and high-quality ingredients. Whether classic variants or creative combinations – everyone gets their money’s worth here. The fish and meat dishes are also worth recommending, as they are always served fresh and with fine Mediterranean flavors.
In addition to the food, the friendly service ensures a completely successful evening. In summer, the terrace invites you to relax and enjoy the idyllic surroundings. Anyone who appreciates Italian hospitality and good food should not miss a visit to Da Peppe!
We enjoyed the food (a pasta dish and a 🍕). The pizza perhaps could have been in the oven a little longer for a crispier base.
The service and ambience were friendly. We are happy to recommend it.
