I had salmon noodles and found them incredibly tasty. Everything here is really homemade, which you can tell by the fact that they really make the food the way you want. My friend was allowed to choose whether she wanted the carbonara traditionally or with other bacon, etc. Great service!

Perfect dinner and wine journey with amazing Italian food. From antipasti, fish and steak to a yummy pizza served by a super friendly team.

Mediocre food and miserable service

Located in the middle of Esslingen's old town, the Accanto offers authentic food, wonderful wines and warm service in cozy old building rooms. Very cozy, with fresh, not cerebral, but classic dishes, a very good selection of wines and (I'm a bit particular) great wine glasses! A retreat from the hustle and bustle!

Even though the restaurant was full, we were able to reserve a table and it was great. The food was really tasty and fresh. Unfortunately I would have to deduct a point because my father-in-law didn't quite hit the cooking points, but the service made up for it all. The taste and service were really good, it's a shame we're not from the area. I can recommend the Pasta alla Scoglio for anyone who likes seafood.

The Best Italian Restaurant in Esslingen and around Stuttgart with amazing food and wonderful people. Friendly owners and waiters taking good care about their guests. Food is of high quality and prepared with fresh ingredients, all dishes were prepared to our fullest satisfaction and tasted very good. We had dinner on three nights and the restaurant was always fully booked. We can only recommend this Ristorante and Pizzeria La Gondola to everyone. Positive: Location and ambience are great. We also liked the open kitchen. And the employees were all friendly. Negatives: Women's restrooms looked terrible. There was no toilet paper or towels, they were lying around on the floor. (Well, the restaurant can't do anything about that directly, but it would be an advantage if there were regular checks) The pizzas looked great, but were too big for our taste. When the pizza no longer fits on the plate and I touch it on the table (which was probably clean, but was probably cleaned with a rag that had been in use for a while) we no longer find it very appetizing. The taste was ok, but it gets cold very quickly and given the size, that's a shame.
