We were there for a birthday... Pretty old fashioned! Plastic flowers with thick dust on them... Service was super nice and friendly... Food, my God, I can't understand why someone still offers salads like that, ready sauce....We had a starter that was bread with knofie....my God, you can serve it more beautifully...Here, a plate with a slice of bread on it, ready....You don't know how to eat with your eyes here... Unfortunately not recommended

It's been almost two weeks since I ordered food from there and I'm not really the type to give public reviews but this thing is bothering me and that's why this place is getting a really strong review from me. At 42, I've often experienced restaurants that weren't as good and then simply stopped going if I didn't like the place and that was that for me. Now to the topic. I ate there for the first time with my wife about two years ago and everything was great. My wife had a gyro plate and I had baked pork medallions. Everything was great, as I said. Last year during the lockdown when you could only pick up, we ordered two gyro plates to take away. Everything was great too. Two weeks ago, however, my wife and I felt like Greek food again and since our trusted Greek friend was on vacation, we ordered from Caldera again. What I was thrown at me this time can hardly be described in words. I ordered two gyro plates again, and after the first forkful, I almost puked. The meat was definitely prepared the day before or worse, and it tasted so disgustingly stale you can't imagine. On top of that, it was almost entirely made up of squishy pieces of fat. I've never experienced anything so disgusting. We're talking about a restaurant here, not a backstreet chip shop. I paid 35 euros for it. Aside from the fact that it was disgusting, the portions were really meager. As I mentioned, I'm not the type to write reviews, but this is just not acceptable. Giving it one star is too many. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of throwing everything away instead of driving to the store to let them try it myself. They'll never see me again.

Delicious food, friendly service and good beer. Actually everything you need to be happy. Were there for the first time and unfortunately found out when we said goodbye that the current owner would be ceasing operations at the end of the year.

I'm used to a lot of poor quality in Duisburg, but this place surpassed everything. I ate there with my partner a while ago, but never again! The restaurant is dirty, run-down, and smells of dog. The unfriendly staff at least leaves you alone. As a result, we were left high and dry for a long time. Speaking of dry, I had to wash down the gyro with a good amount of Köpe. Conclusion: If you're looking for adventure, aren't picky about hygiene, and enjoy suffering – this is the place for you. For everyone else: go for the kebab shop across the street.
