Wat een fijn restaurant om even op adem te komen! Uitstekende attente bediening, heerlijk gegeten zowel vegetarisch als vleesgerechten zijn erg goed. De bediening is attent en vriendelijk maar niet opdringerig. Helemaal top. Vergeet de snelweg restaurants en rijd even om als je in de buurt bent!
So actually the food was okay, average kebab shop, but the prices are outrageous for the portions. We paid over €22 for a “large” pommdöner and a kebab plate. The pommdöner was really small for being the big one. The kebab plate was okay in terms of quantity. But nothing more. The spicy cocktail sauce was quite good. The rest was also quite okay. What really pissed me off is the price.
I can only recommend it, especially the delicious Dubai chocolate has made me a regular customer. Always delicious and always happy with yuvam baklava.
Sickers is simply brilliant! The dishes are not only creative but also absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is super pleasant and you can immediately tell that the cooking here is done with a lot of love and passion. Every bite is a pleasure. Peter Sicker is friendly and attentive, which makes the visit a completely successful experience. Always happy!
We had a Mallorca party there on November 2nd, 2025 as a booked DJ and were totally thrilled. Nice hosts, great team👍 Would be happy to come back at any time🎶🎤😊🦾🙌
Zaak bestaat niet meer! Gebeld met deze zaak toen ik voor de deur stond maar bestaat niet meer. Dus maar verder gaan zoeken naar andere zaak en bij Butcha terecht gekomen.
Wir (72- und 74 Jahre alt, ehemalige Fußballer) waren am 06.08.2022 auf dem Rheinradweg ab Emmerich mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs und übernachteten in Wesel. Von unserem Hotelwirt Issah ERDAL, Hotel zur Aue in Wesel, erhielten wir den Tipp, wir sollten unser geplantes Abendessen im Restaurant Kolpinghaus einnehmen.
Dieser Tipp erwies sich als absolut goldrichtig. Wir lernten dort zunächst einmal eine sehr freundliche, zuvorkommende Bedienung kennen. Im schattigen Biergarten vor dem Lokal bestellten wir dann aus der Speisekarte je ein Schnitzelgericht mit Pommes frites und erhielten kurz darauf je ein riesiges, in der Pfanne gebratenes Schnitzel mit goldbraunen Pommes. Was die Augen versprachen, hielt der Genuss dieses Essens komplett ein! Nur die Pommes frites schafften wir nicht ganz....
Es gesellten sich der Küchenchef des Hauses, Friedhelm Selmke, und seine Ehefrau Jutta zu uns. Ein echter Koch/Küchenchef aus Leidenschaft, für den es ganz bestimmt niemals in Frage käme, ein Schnitzel in die Friteuse zu legen. Die Kommunikation mit ihm und seiner Ehefrau Jutta offenbarte schlussendlich, dass hier ein sympathisches, engagiertes Restaurantbetreiber-Ehepaar einen Kontakt mit ihren Gästen nicht aus dem Wege geht, ohne aufdringlich sein zu wollen.
Wir können dieses Restaurant aus ehrlicher Überzeugung nur bestens empfehlen. Verwandt oder verschwägert sind wir nicht mit dem Ehepaar Selmke!
We ordered there for the first time.
And I'm maximally disappointed and even horrified and angry. My appetite has never gone so quickly and my feeling of “hangry” has never been made so much more “angry” by eating.
A Pizza Mediterranea was ordered (pizza with red pesto, cherry tomatoes, anchovies, burrata, feta). I got a Mediterranean pizza (pizza with red pesto, cherry tomatoes, feta, burrata, green olives). When I called back and complained that the wrong pizza had been delivered and now had olives instead of anchovies, the only answer was that green olives were on both pizzas anyway (which according to the menu is not true! See photo) and that the anchovies can be delivered individually as an ingredient. 15 minutes later: I then received five individual anchovies in a plastic box (see photo). I could just put them on the now cold pizza. Unbelievable. In addition, many places were burned and not edible (see photo). Overall, I'm disappointed and still hungry in the end.
The location is nicely furnished and attractively decorated without being overloaded.
The gentleman behind the counter is really very friendly, but most importantly: the food is great! This is how it should taste in a snack bar. The fries are crispy, the frikkos are homemade, the bratwurst is fried to perfection.
There is both a general menu and changing dishes.
Payment can be made in cash or by card.

Big kebab rarely deserves the name. Approximately 80% consists of a white/red cabbage mixture. Some strips of meat around it and good on top. Plus 2 slices of tomato and a strip of sheep's cheese. 1/4 liter of yogurt on top so that it is only held together by the aluminum foil. Easily earned €10.50, I would say. From today on I'll give the store a wide berth.
