It's been a long time since we visited the Tarragon again due to the Frankfurt City Events' "Autumn Gourmet Weeks" campaign and were extremely positively surprised. Starting from the pumpkin-carrot-ginger soup, the triangles with crayfish, to the Wagyu sirloin steak, everything was perfect. The steak was tender, but still with a “bite” and cooked to medium rare, and was a delight. Only the dessert, the mixed cheese platter, should have been taken out of the refrigerator a little earlier so that the taste and aroma of the cheese would not be distorted by the cold. The very full seating and, above all, the smokers who often walked past our table outside were a bit annoying. Overall, however, a successful evening that we will definitely repeat. Unfortunately, we had two people at the table next to us who were "professional complainers" and who described the wonderful Wagyu sirloin steak as "inedible" to the service, which was simply inappropriate given the quality of the meat and almost an impertinence.

Perfect place for a dinner, authentic atmosphere with pleasant interior. I always pay attention on how clean a place is and although furnishing is not new, it is very well maintained Food and wine were great, fresh oysters and a bottle of Chablis just stole our hearts 💔 And of course very welcoming stuff was always there for us in right time

There were 4 of us there and we all waited almost 2 hours for our starter, which wasn't really great... The salad was drowned in vinegar and the main courses were all cold… the couscous tasted extremely strange, old and stale…. We had to pay the full price and this strange lady who introduced herself as the boss wanted a tip. Well, we're definitely not coming any more and we'd rather actually go to France 🇫🇷 And the boss is a rip-off!!! Yes, I'm sure it was theirs!!! Ma cherie

Attentive service, cozy atmosphere and excellent food. As a starter I recommend the artichoke with mustard sauce - simply brilliant. Only partially recommended for vegans or vegetarians, the menu could be expanded.

In meiner vorherigen Bewertung habe ich habe ich eine bessere Bewertung abgegeben. Enttäuscht war ich jedoch von dem Essen an Silvester. Die Speisen waren wieder sehr köstlich zubereitet. Jedoch für mein und dem Empfinden meiner Frau in lächerlich kleinen Portionen. Wenn der Menü Preis von 79 EUR nicht ausreichend ist, hätte ich gerne einen höheren Preis akzeptiert. Jedoch möchte ich keine winzigen Portionen auf meinem Teller haben... Ich verzichte jetzt auf weitere Ausführungen. In der Vergangenheit waren wir mit den Portionen und dem Geschmack sowie mlt dem Service sehr zufrieden. Das Restaurant schloß mit dem 31.12.23 leider für immer.

More of a barbecue than a grill, and at a steep price. We attended the barbecue evening at the Dorint Hotel in Bad Vilbel on May 16, 2025. The quality of the dishes on offer, such as beef sausages, bratwurst, salsiccia, pork and turkey steaks, was quite good. However, the beef steaks were very tough as they had been grilled too hard. Furthermore, in our opinion, the selection was more in line with a standard barbecue evening and didn't offer the variety one would normally associate with a barbecue. We looked in vain for typical barbecue specialties such as spare ribs, pulled pork, or beef brisket. The price of €41 per person seemed quite high for what was offered. This impression was further reinforced by the exorbitant drink prices. An additional €15 was charged for a bottle of water and a 0.5-liter shandy, which negatively impacted the overall value for money. However, the attentive and friendly service deserves special mention; there was nothing to complain about. Conclusion: If you're looking for a cozy barbecue evening with good quality meat and are willing to pay a premium price, this might be the place for you. However, if you're expecting a diverse barbecue experience, you might be disappointed by the selection and should keep in mind the high prices for food and drinks.
