Never again McDonald's – at least not in Germany Yesterday the five of us ate at McDonald's - a really negative experience. My Big Tasty was cold, as was the rest of the food. And that's not all: the topping on my burger was completely careless - just thrown on there, without structure, without care. You don't know it like that. You immediately notice that no one here wanted to prepare it properly. The trays were wet and not even wiped properly. The staff seemed unmotivated, disinterested, some heavily tattooed and overall not well-groomed - that doesn't exactly make for a pleasant visit. And unfortunately this is not an isolated case. No matter which McDonald's you go to around Frankfurt am Main - the same picture everywhere: unhygienic conditions, lack of cleanliness, zero friendliness. You get the feeling that everything is done somehow - the main thing is quickly, but without quality. The taste of McDonald's, if it's true, is actually what attracts a lot of people - including me. But in such a state? You simply can't and don't want to put yourself through that anymore. And I'm sure many others feel the same way. I'm completely avoiding McDonald's in Germany from now on. The only exception for me is abroad: in Austria, Slovenia or last year in Poland - I was really positively surprised there. Hygiene, friendliness and quality – you realize that there is another way. And that's exactly the difference: it's close to the heart. Thank you for your attention. PS / Addendum: By the way, we didn't go to this McDonald's by chance - we went there specifically because we had actually had really good experiences there in the past. The experience yesterday, April 20, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. was all the more disappointing. An absolute disaster. Management should seriously think about what to do next. This is not how you can sustain a brand in the long term. McDonald's lives from its reputation - but if it continues like this, things will only go downhill at some point. It's just the staff!
