Definitely a recommendation! It was my first visit, but not my last. We went for Sunday brunch. Attention: nothing works here without a reservation. It was completely filled. It felt like a birthday party at every other table. In the back the noise level is ok.
The selection of food was very large. What is particularly striking is the large and delicious selection of homemade spreads.
To start there were delicious egg dishes, salads, antipasti and white sausages. There is also a large bread counter with fruit salad and muesli. Warm food arrives from 11:30 a.m. Not to forget: make your own waffles. Homemade ginger water and cucumber/mint water are free drinks. But unfortunately no still water.
Now some more high-level complaining: the price of €29 only includes a warm drink. Each additional drink (warm/cold) is extra.
The pretzels and rolls were baked goods. Some things appeared very pale. 2 minutes more in the oven would have been helpful.
The Bircher muesli was a complete disappointment. My favorite dish, I'm a professional at it. This is not the original recipe. This is "house style" and not tasty.
All 6 people at my table agreed: the chef is in love. Some dishes had too much salt.
Our service was very friendly. The waiting time for coffee/tea (if everyone wants it at the same time) is a bit long.
About the ambience: a large L-shaped hall. Not my thing but just the current trend. But I like the pictures on the walls.
Unfortunately there is no choice for vegetarians. We are used to the flavors of German cuisine and unfortunately their cuisine does not reflect our tastes. Excellent service.
The two hunter's schnitzels were a complete disgrace. The sauce they were supposed to have was so watery, it had absolutely nothing to do with sauce! The few mushrooms on the schnitzel were from a can, a real disgrace! (I think the picture says it all). When the chef had cleared the plates, he asked if we had enjoyed them. When I said the sauce was so watery, he just said "Okay" and disappeared straight away. No apology, nothing! This is really unacceptable! We can definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone!
We met there for a beer at 8:30 p.m. on a Tuesday since we were relatively close by. We also got something to eat. The landlady was very nice and attentive. It wasn't the last time we were there.
Cozy pub, I liked the food
Just yesterday I ate cordon bleu for my friend's birthday.
I bit down on something hard that was stuck across my mouth
It was a toothpick...oops...
From now on I'll eat more carefully and use a small piece of toothpick again..
I really lost my appetite...
The owner came to the table and asked if everything was okay for us
I told him about the toothpicks
His succinct answer, oh, we've had this problem for 10 years.
Nothing new and went again..
I don't think it's very hospitable...
So be careful when eating Cordon Bleu
Can be dangerous
A perfect breakfast⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Teas are exactly Turkish style,
It tasted amazing.
interest, concern,
And when it's with friends...
We felt like we were doped.
💐🥰🧿🐞💙👍😊
I recommend it to everyone.
