We decided to eat here at the end of our vacation. In short: A very good idea. In detail: Table reserved in advance, which would not have been absolutely necessary on this Friday. But would still recommend it. After ordering, it didn't take long until we had the plates in front of us. There was pork cheeks with croquettes as a small portion and pork loin steak with noodles as a large portion. Both taste great. If you have a healthy appetite, you should take the pork cheeks as a large portion. In our case, no problem, because the large pork loin steak was almost impossible for me, even as a good eater. So I was able to give something away. The carpet in the restaurant deserves an update and, as always with restaurants in historic buildings, the toilet facilities are often "worth seeing". All in all, a great evening in Hegau.

The service was quick and very friendly. I personally thought the food was bad for the price. Portion size was sufficient, but the food itself was poor. For the price I expect wow and that's what was missing.
