We ate at the Bären inn for Christmas. The food was served after a long wait of over an hour. It has already been communicated in advance that a person is vegan. Without asking in advance, when I asked, “Who is the vegan?!” a tarte flambée. Here it was immediately apparent that this was a ready meal. This is very disappointing and an absolute disgrace! Yes, this is a classic inn that does not specialize in vegan dishes. Nevertheless, you should keep up with the times and think about how simple and uncomplicated plant-based dishes are. I've had positive experiences in various restaurants before, but I was very disappointed here. In my opinion, every good restaurant should have at least one plant-based dish on the menu.

Quantity instead of class. The name is quite appropriate. If you want to eat cheaply, love large portions and are tolerant of mistakes, this is the right place for you. If you're in a bit more of a good mood, you can endure the mistakes already mentioned in the other reviews. However, compared to the many good and very good kitchens in Hegau, it doesn't get more than 2 stars. I left the beautiful view aside.
