With a reservation you can immediately get a nice seat at the panoramic window. Price/performance ratio was appropriate. Really very tasty, I would love to come back.

Unfortunately you can't give 0 stars What has to be said is that the staff seems to be trying hard at first. (Quite unprofessional and mostly not fluent in German) There were two of us and we asked reception if it was still open and ordered a large bottle of water. The waitress had just left when a gentleman came to take our order again because the lady didn't write it down. Apparently 0.75l was no longer available, so 0.5l was served. We then ordered two salads with vinegar and oil and asked not to add anything else to the dressing due to allergies/intolerances. After a few minutes the salad came with white dressing. We politely asked what was in it...the first waiter said vinegar and oil and the second said he had written it down correctly but it was yogurt dressing. They took the salad out one door and then served it out the other door. We were slightly taken aback, asked again and due to language problems the lady sent a colleague who never came. A few minutes later, all the lighting on the terrace was switched off...we were sitting in the dark. For some time we tried to catch someone from the staff, but that didn't seem possible. With the help of a cell phone flashlight, we took our things and went into the building. There we stood at the checkout as ordered and not picked up until the boss came to pay. €4.20 for 0.5l of water, which we couldn't even drink half of because the light was turned off. We still had to discuss the salads that we hadn't even touched. At first they said it was vinegar oil only in white (I've never heard of that) and then shortly afterwards, no, it wasn't yoghurt, it was mayonnaise, it was something completely different from yoghurt. Eventually it was assumed that we just didn't want to pay and a cellar was sent out to check the salads. Actually we should have just left... but we've learned some decency... we won't be coming back anyway, even if the view is a dream.

Location is great. Magnificent view over the Hegau. We were there for the second time today. The first time it was really great. Fast service and very tasty food. Unfortunately today it was the exact opposite. The service didn't come for ages and then we had to wait a long time even though there was hardly anything going on. When the burgers came, the meat was too thick and completely cooked through. The rest wasn't really edible either.

During theübeland/motorway/night ride motorcycle training, the alternative was the Hegaustern. The food was very good, the service from the wait staff was good. However, what is not possible in a restaurant like this: no card payment possible... Whatever the reason for the owner making this decision, it is the wrong one. I will also communicate this on my Geniesser websites. When I paid (for once I had cash with me) three other guests had the same card problem. As a company whose movements all go through the account, this is an additional accounting expense. That's why I won't take a break there anymore

Unfortunately our second time, but never again; Price-performance ratio not okay. Bad service, almost unfriendly, but certainly not hospitable, fried potatoes with too much garlic, inedible and schnitzel large but not of “German” quality… a chef with little heart for his job? . The location is great, so have a drink and then move on.

When I was finished I was asked COMPLETE? The service employee was just about able to do that. So I couldn't pass on my experiences with the food to the service. When I had to pick up my wallet to pay, I was completely ignored. And the service employee who collected the money wasn't the friendliest person. Ergo, the only beautiful thing is the panorama

The schnitzel farm is located outside and is more of a tourist restaurant with a fantastic view of the Hegau all the way to Lake Constance. The restaurant is modernly furnished and also has a large side room that is also used for events. There is a small terrace. Outside there is a beer garden under a huge tree. The menu is relatively large, with schnitzel - as the name of the restaurant suggests - being in the foreground. There is also a changing selection of schnitzel offerings every week. We had a schnitzel with paprika sauce, a mixed salad and a cordon bleu “Hot Schwyz” with fries. The portions are huge, in the “normal” version. But there are also small portions. Then you get a big schnitzel. In the normal portion size you get two large schnitzels on the plate, plus the side dishes. The schnitzels are large, crispy and tasted good to us. The paprika sauce tasted very fruity and very tasty. The cordon bleu also consists of two schnitzels on top of each other, which were well filled with spicy sausage and cheese. The waitresses are very friendly and quick. The restaurant is certainly not a gourmet temple; the schnitzels are deep-fried and not fried in a pan. Nevertheless, we really liked it there and enjoyed it very much. We would like to come again.

You don't need a second time, Worse service, taste like in every self-service restaurant sauce was like paste. We had booked at the Hegaublick and were wrong. When I asked "we have reserved a table at..." I was still told: Yes, in the back corner, come in. When we had already ordered, the call came from Hegaublick, where we are staying🫣 We were informed that unfortunately this happens often and that it was not ok, from the schnitzel farm. The portions were large and the food was ok. I would have liked the service to be more benevolent. What was annoying: 1 Greek salad for 2 as a starter - 2 came - they said "the other one on the house" but still paid. If you're looking for schnitzel and cordonbleu large and cheap - with medium quality - and if you don't value good service, you'll be well served here. We expected more and will therefore go to Hegaublick next time (there are also many other things on the menu) Nice view - definitely

A beautiful restaurant with a great view. As a restaurateur myself, I am very satisfied with the service, no full tables and fast service. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food (Cordonbleu with fries) was very tasty and the portions were very large! We will come back.

Reservierung am besten schriftlich bestätigen lassen.... trotz zwei Anrufen wurden wir erst ins Kreuzverhör genommen und nach Beweisen für unsere Anrufe ("Zeig mir mal deine Telefonliste!") aufgefordert. Essen war gut, Portionen riesig,Reste mitnehmen auch kein Problem. Wurden gebeten zu zahlen, damit die Kasse gemacht werden kann - soweit okay. Zum Bezahlen mussten wir dann eizeln an die Theke im Vorraum kommen, was das Gefühl verstärkte, abgefertigt worden zu sein. Wir waren 10 Personen - es wird keine davon nochmal kommen.

Today the four of us are eating at Der Schnitzel Farm in Engen. A lot of packaged and ready-made things like croquettes, spaetzle, sauce were burnt and roasted onions were a brown, slimy mush. Unfortunately, we only noticed at the end of the meal that there were strange, slightly green mold spots in the spaetzle we had bought. Afterwards we left everything behind because we lost our appetite. Something like that doesn't work at all, it was the first and last time there!!!

Unfortunately my food was terrible. The fried potatoes were covered in so much garlic that you couldn't taste the potatoes anymore. After asking for new ones, exactly the same ones came back. Was inedible... unfortunately. Won't eat there again

1. Table at the Lichtalter. Accidentally touched, the light goes out in the restaurant. 2. Waited 50 minutes after ordering until the menu was served. 3. An ant crawled out of a menu with a salad 4. The potato salad with the breaded schnitzel was rather dry and not served with broth as usual. 5. For a German kitchen, it seemed to us as if the staff and the service were not German. 6. For 3 breaded schnitzels Menus with potato salt and 1 asparagus with baked potato as well as a hefeweizen each were €162.

First of all: we've probably been there 3 times now because I can't leave a negative review without a 2nd or 3rd chance. But what's happening here is more than underground. Ready-made sauces, unseasoned schnitzel breadings and the waitresses' almost no knowledge of German... We've also received a moldy piece of cake. This time there was a schnitzel with hollandaise and asparagus from the asparagus menu. There were 3 (!) stalks of asparagus! A little thicker than a ballpoint pen!! When I asked if this was serious and complained, there was an additional pole! We were at a loss for words. That was definitely the last time!

Schnitzel with a mustard crust is an absolute no-go, as only mustard and a few onions were smeared on the schnitzel. Der Hegaustern war sicher einmal eine super Adresse. Anderer Besitzer, ganz anderes Niveau. Als wir nach dem wandern dort einkehrten, bestellten wir Schnitzel (normal, kein xxl!!!!!). Einmal Natur „gegrillt“ und einmal Wiener Art. Einen großen Bauernsalat dazu. Was wir zu essen bekamen, glich einem Massaker. 2 Riesen Lappen Schnitzel pro Teller, zusammengeschlagen auf 5mm Höhe, damit es schön lang und breit wird, mit fetter Panade überzogen, die dicker war als das Fleisch. Das Schnitzel Natur war regelrecht zerfetzt. Man sah die Einschlaglöcher vom Klopfer, es hatte absolut keine Struktur mehr. Gegrillt war es dann auch nicht, aber das machte es wirklich auch nicht mehr schlimmer. Wie kann man sich Schnitzelfarm nennen, wenn man das Fleisch regelrecht „totschlägt“ und sowas serviert? Da ist jemand am Werk, der definitiv keine Ahnung hat. Von den Bratkartoffeln brauchen wir nicht reden, schlimm, voller Knoblauch und frittiert. Als ein Gast höflich, nach gut 45 Minuten fragte, wo sein Essen bleibe, reagierte der Inhaber grantig mit den Worten: wir sind hier nicht bei McDonalds. Da war bei uns der Ofen aus! 70€ gezahlt für Fraß!!! Keine Entschuldigung, weil wir es auch sagten, dass es nicht gut war. Die Bilder erspare ich Ihnen. Wir nicht mehr!

We would have loved to eat something. Unfortunately, we (10 people) were not even greeted despite reservations. We don't expect a “warm welcome” at all, but a hello or good evening would have been really nice. Instead, they looked at us very annoyed, walked in front of us and then said “there” that was the clue for the table assignment. After no one came to place an order, we left again.

Again, because of all the negative reviews, we came here yesterday. The staff greeted us warmly and we were given a table with a wonderful view. The food was really very good. We all decided on a small portion and were explicitly asked whether we wanted a small or large portion. It was a very pleasant atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

Were there yesterday evening. Portions were very good. Service well, I know that it is very difficult to find staff. But I find it quite cheeky to charge €12.50 for a baked potato as a side dish even though it says that you can also choose it as a side dish. If so, you should deduct a little from the cordon bleu because you have saved on the side dish and salad. Unfortunately, the fried potatoes were very soggy, which is something I'm not used to with fried potatoes. I found the schnitzel very good for my taste.

Service disaster! We wanted to enjoy the beautiful beer garden and have something to eat. The service was disastrous. At first we were ignored. When we ordered the food, my husband wasn't quick enough to say that he wanted a small portion (the waitress was still standing at the table and was typing on her device). The waitress just said that it was already too late and that the order had been taken already in the kitchen and there's nothing she can do about it. Otherwise she would have to run into the kitchen and try to change it...... She did this, as we asked, with an unmistakably sour face. The lady who served the salad then rudely and annoyedly told my husband that it wouldn't work next time and that he should think about what he wanted straight away..... Honestly!!!!! Service definitely looks different. The schnitzel was dry and the fries were soft. WE WILL NOT LEAVE OUR MONEY THERE ANYMORE!!!!

Schnitzel 3 stars. When I asked how big the difference was between the portions, I was roughly shown with my hand and I chose the normal/large portion. I also told the waiter that I was not hungry. Result 1.5 schnitzels for the trash. And to make 5 euros more sales.

The cordon blue was very dry and there was little to no taste or taste of the contents, ham and cheese. Extra sauce is charged at €3.20. Das Cordon blue war sehr trocken und vom Inhalt, Schinken u. Käse war wenig bis garnichts zu sehen und zu schmecken. Extra Soße wird mit € 3,20 berechnet. Im Monat März gibt es die Sonderaktion 10% für Rentner, worauf ich die Bedienung (glaube Chefin) am Anfang angesprochen habe. Am Ende, beim Bezahlen war der Rabatt nicht berechnet und nachdem ich diese Aktion noch einmal angesprochen habe, kam die lapidare Antwort, dass eine Korrektur der Rechnung nicht mehr möglich sei. Wenn eine solche Aktion schon angepriesen wird, sollte man sich auch daran halten.

We had dinner at Hegau-Stern with 12 people on a Thursday evening. The food came promptly and tasted very good. Unfortunately one meal came a little later than the others. But otherwise everything was great. Lovely again.

It is a very nice, clean restaurant with modern furnishings and a magnificent view over the Hegau to Lake Constance. The host and staff are attentive and quick.

We went there to eat after much deliberation based on the verdicts. We were very positively surprised. It was a Sunday evening and quite busy. All orders arrived surprisingly quickly and at the same time. The food was good and the service was friendly. The portions are large and once I've seen the other dishes I'll be back. Because when the weather is nice, a seat by the window will have a gigantic view.

View very nice. Food average, but the staff was so crazy and very unfriendly. A red-haired lady with glasses served us, I've never experienced anything like that. Very, very unfriendly. I would never eat there again. The staff ruins everything. It's hard to get or see a smile, the ladies are very frustrated.

Die normale Portion schafft man nicht und ich bin ein guter Esser. Die kleine Portion schafft man. Was nicht so gut ist, man muss aufpassen, das man auch das bekommt, was man auch bestellt hat. Das ist nicht immer der Fall. Man kann nur in bar bezahlen, was nicht so gut ist. Die deutsche Sprache wird auch nicht immer verstanden leider. Das Essen schmeckt aber gut 👍.

The view in the restaurant is fantastic! Unfortunately the food was rather average. I just had a normal schnitzel, the breading was so dry that I could still feel my taste buds after 1 hour. You may not notice this with the other offerings with a lot of sauce. My companion's burger was good.

Wer Schnitzel usw. mag ist hier richtig! Die Portionen sind riesig (auch die "kleine„), deshalb der Umwelt zu lieb am besten gleich selber,was zum ein packen mit bringen. Wird einen vom sehr freundlich Service auch gestellt. Wir fanden der Service war schnell, Essen sehr gut, Kinder freundlich. Wir kommen wieder.

Also gestern war ich mit meiner sehr guten Freundin im SCHNITZELFARM - RESTAURANT - HEGAUBLICK als ich schon zuvor angerufen habe ca. 3 Stunden zuvor , bin ich schon sehr unfreundlich und pampig angefahren worden am Telefon dass ich dachte am liebsten würde ich da NICHT hinfahren wollen . . . . aber durch die vielen Feiertage war sonst überall alles reserviert und oder besetzt und deshalb blieb uns im Grunde nichts übrig da ich hier auf Besuch bin bei meinen Eltern und das auch sehr spontan war. Nichtsdestotrotz habe ich meine Freundin geholt und wir sind zusammen in den Hegaublick in die schnitzelfarm und haben einen Platz zugewiesen bekommen der wirklich schön war es war zwar schon dunkel aber wir hatten eine wirklich schönen Fensterplatz wir waren auch wirklich sehr freundlich so dass, die Bedienung bzw. Kellnerin die ich sofort an der Stimme erkannte ( vom Telefonat zuvor. . .... . . ) , gar nicht anders konnte als auch ein wenig freundlich sein. . . ! Zum Schluss saßen vielleicht noch knapp 20 Leute im Saal es ist ein größerer Raum hinter uns ein Tisch mit 6 - 8 Personen aus der Schweiz . . . Dann hatten die Kellnerinnen angefangen ca um 21:30 Uhr den Saal ringsrum um die Gäste zu putzen neu aufzudecken oder einzudecken und so weiter zum Schluss hat sie den Schalter also den Lichtschalter mehrfach aus und angemacht und ist dann wieder zum Tisch hinter uns und hat ihn abgewischt und geputzt ca Viertelstunde oder 20 Minuten nach 22 Uhr kann sie dann zu uns am Tisch und Bad doch dass wir doch bitte demnächst das Lokal oder Restaurant verlassen sowas habe ich wirklich noch nicht erlebt also ich muss wirklich sagen das Personal auch wenn Weihnachtsfeiertage sind und es vielleicht auch den ein oder anderen Gas gibt der vielleicht nicht so freundlich ist oder wahr wie wir kann man so wirklich nicht durchgehen lassen ganz ehrlich also das war echt voll daneben und unterste Schublade das Essen hingegen war wirklich gut die Schnitzel und Portionen und Salatdressing waren sehr gut angemacht und es wurde wirklich sehr heiß serviert das habe ich wirklich als zwei oder drei Pluspunkte mindestens honoriert das ist allein schon ein Grund eventuell wieder vorbei zu schauen aber das Personal bei allem Respekt und Verständnis durch Weihnachten und Feiertage und vielleicht auch wirklich Gäste die vielleicht manchmal sehr unmöglich sind oder sich daneben Verhalten muss ich wirklich sagen muss sich das Kellner Personal sehr sehr anstrengend und vielleicht tatsächlich auch noch einiges an professionellerität an den Tag legen und lernen sowas geht einfach gar nicht und ich bin selber ein Kind aus Gastronomie aber sowas war wirklich unmöglich ansonsten hatten wir einen recht schönen Abend abgesehen von den unfreundlichen Personal und sind dann mit vollem Bauch nach Hause gegangen ! Deshalb nur einen oder keinen Stern für Service denn der war einfach nur schlecht.

Wir waren mit der Rettunghundestaffel dort zum Weihnachtsessen. Es hat gut geschmeckt und die Portionen waren sehr groß. Entweder großen Hunger mitbringen oder die Tupperdose.

Leider waren wir von diesem Besuch des Restaurants nicht überzeugt, Am Empfang erfuhren wir dass unsere Reservierung nicht vorhanden war. Wir bekamen Recht wieder-willig einen freien Tisch zugewiesen. Bei der ersten Essens Bestellung sagte man uns, dass die bestellten Gerichte leider nicht mehr vorrätig sind (kein Zander, kein Rehgulasch und kein gemischtes Wildgulasch) was wir sehr schade fanden. Das Personal ist sehr Schnippisch was wir als sehr unhöflich empfunden haben. Das Essen ist leider auch nicht mehr das was es mal war. Beim Schnitzel war alles ok. Die Pommes vom Kind waren auch OK. Beim Wildschwein Braten war alles sehr salzig. Beim Fitness Salat hat der Kartoffelsalat überhaupt nicht geschmeckt, das ging auch andern Gästen so, der blieb leider bei jedem liegen. Schade ich werde wohl nicht mehr wieder kommen.

Große Auswahl an Schnitzeln und Cordon Bleu, aber auch alternative Gerichte. Der Service war freundlich und gut, sehr schöne Aussicht gibt es gratis dazu. Die Preise sind für das gebotene gehoben, aber akzeptabel. Weniger gut war ein lautstarker Streit in der Küche der gut im übrigen Restaurant zu hören war. Ebenso ein kurzes gekräuseltes Haar im Waschbecken des Männer WCs, Ohne die letzten beiden Mängel wären es 4 Sterne. Es gibt einen Umfragebogen am Eingang, der Betreiber ist also bemüht sich zu verbessern.

Zum Standort, leider sehr abgelegen aber man wird mit einer sensationellen Aussicht und mit einem Essen belohnt, dass heutzutage,in Kombination,sehr selten ist.. Essen 5 ⭐ ..zum Zimmer,leider nicht übernachtet. Ich werde euch daher das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen.. Zum Preis, Top .. PS.bitte telefonisch reservieren! Bietet reichlich Platz, ist aber immer sehr gut besucht...

Wir haben 4 Essen zum Abholen bestellt. Dort angekommen, teilte man uns mit, dass eine Kartenzahlung nicht möglich ist (sorry, aber das geht in der heutigen Zeit echt nicht!) Also mussten wir nach Engen zum Bankautomaten fahren. Dass wir einen Weg von über 20 min nach Hause haben, ist natürlich nicht deren Schuld, aber inklusive hin- und herfahren nach/von Engen warteten wir über 1,5 Stunden auf das Essen... das werden wir nicht mehr machen, sorry. Nicht zuletzt, weil das Essen dann natürlich fast kalt war und das Cordon bleu sehr knusprig, trocken, und sehr dunkel war (siehe Foto)... Die Pommes lätschig und ungenießbar. Den bestellten Kartoffelbrei gabs erst gar nicht ("haben wir schon lange nicht mehr", aber bestellbar auf der Homepage ist er?), stattdessen hat man einfach Bratkartoffeln dazu gemacht, diese waren natürlich auch nicht mehr so lecker.... Nö. Leider nö... schade! Da sind wir anderen Service und andere Qualität gewohnt- zum gleichen Preis :/

Ein Restaurant mit Goran's Handschrift. Wer da hungrig rausgeht, ist nicht normal. Er selbst wieder ein wunderbarer Gastgeber. Gut, die verwelkten Blumen auf dem Tisch hätte man mal entsorgen können und gezogen hat es auch ein wenig. Was aber gar nicht geht ist, dass man im Jahr 2023 nicht mit Karte zahlen kann! Wo leben wir denn? Bei 240 € mussten wir jeden Cent zusammenkratzen. Alternative: wieder gehen. Is ja da oben auch nicht so, dass man mal eben an den nächsten Geldautomaten fährt. Geht gar nicht! Daher 2 Sterne Abzug.

Wir waren dort schon öfter essen und ich muss sagen, dass das Essen (Qualität) und der Service sehr nachgelassen haben. Von den Portionen her top, satt wird jeder. Aber das Fleisch war die letzten Male sehr trocken und zäh, schade. Wir haben es beanstandet, aber verstanden wird man nicht wirklich und wenn dann versteht man die Dame nicht 😅 Wir haben die Hoffnung, dass es wieder bergauf geht und kommen irgendwann mal wieder.... Vielleicht nimmt man sich ja die Kritiken hier zu Herzen, wäre auf jeden Fall sinnvoll.

Gemütliches Restaurant, netter Service, gutes Essen - sollte man unbedingt einmal ausprobieren. Wer Knoblauch mag, sollte das Vampirschnitzel testen.

Leider eher mehr Masse statt klasse. Riesen Portionen, satt wird man auf jeden Fall. Geschmacklich aber nur durchschnittlich. Schnitzel und Cordon Bleu waren gut, die Beilagen (zB Bratkartoffeln) fast nicht genießbar. Schmeckt nicht frisch. Service ist bemüht. Das Ambiente innen ist nicht sonderlich einladen. Der Ausblick bei Tag sehr schön.

Wir kennen den Hegaustern vom Sommer, wo er durch eine bombastische Aussicht überzeugt. Nun das erste Mal zum Abend essen mit 2 Familien dort gewesen und ich muss leider sagen, das war auch das letzte Mal. Service versteht kaum deutsch, was man mit ein bisschen Freundlichkeit kein Problem gewesen wäre, aber dem war leider nicht so. Vom Essen her, leider nur Masse, aber keinerlei Klasse. Wir hatten uns auf Wild gefreut, aber es hatte nichts mit Wildgeschmack zu tun. Die Fleischkonsistenz war furchtbar, die Soße, schmeckte wie eine Bratensoße mit Süßstoff, das war's. Spätzle lauwarm aus der Tüte, Bratensoße wie Pudding. Die Semmelknödel waren aufgeschnittene Gummibälle und ebenfalls furztrocken. Preislich wäre es bei guter Qualität in Ordnung gewesen, so allerdings eine reine Frechheit. Schade um so eine schöne Location.

Essen wie immer super. Nur leider immernoch keine EC Zahlung möglich.

Wirklich eine sehr gute Qualität und wirklich Gerichte die man nicht überall bekommt.. Service ist wirklich top
