Closed for weeks. Probably don't want to pay protection money...

Food: Meat baked greasy, dry and inedible.Sweet/sour sauce too thin.Peanut sauce thick and not enough. Service: Service was too hectic, despite complaining about inedible meat and returning nothing in compensation. Ambiance is ok, just a bit old-fashioned and there is a strong smell of frying oil in the dining area. Because the complaint wasn't taken seriously and there was no compensation, we'll never come back. Annoying to have spent almost €80 on it.

The Hot Pot House leaves me with mixed feelings. On the one hand, the hot pot tastes really good, but on the other hand, there's a lot that could be improved in terms of the ambiance and service. The restaurant is located in a former pub. I like that most of the interior furnishings have been preserved from the days of the past, but some useful modifications are missing, such as an extractor fan, which is common in hot pot restaurants in neighboring towns. It was also quite chilly in the restaurant. The service was unfortunately poor. The waiter barely communicated with us. He was solely responsible for the entire restaurant, which made it difficult for him to keep up with his tasks. I especially would have liked the waiter to briefly ask us at the beginning if we were already familiar with hot pot and to explain the restaurant's concept. I think the biggest problem is probably their desire to cut down on staff. The ingredients for the hot pot are listed on a laminated card. You are given a marker and can check off which ingredients and drinks you would like to order. Unfortunately, this doesn't work seamlessly. The wait times are sometimes long, and not everything ordered was always brought to my table. I also wish the drinks had been kept cold beforehand or at least served with ice cubes. On the other hand, I was impressed by the broths. Both the spicy and the beef broth were very good. Overall, the food tasted good. The ice cream for dessert was also delicious. The hot pot house offers delicious food, but the service and ambiance leave a lot to be desired. I hope the criticism is taken to heart, as many of the points mentioned are also mentioned in the other reviews.

For almost exactly 10 years I ordered there regularly with absolute satisfaction and enjoyment... Plates were always well filled, even with meat. 😋🫠👍 The driver was sunshine personified at all times - always an additional joy! 🌞👌😃 Unfortunately, when I last ordered about a year ago, EVERYTHING tasted obtrusive and only like soy sauce. 🤢 Unfortunately, when I tried to communicate this over the phone, all I got was "I don't understand anything" and hung up. 😕 No further orders were placed after that. I'm also missing a sushi offering. ☝️ I don't want to use a single negative experience after 10 years of satisfaction as a benchmark - that's why full star rating!

Unfortunately I have to give it one star, even though it's not deserved... The taste wasn't really great, you could tell it wasn't fresh. We are now all at home with diarrhea and vomiting! Never again!

Very warm couple, great food. The best “Green Curry with Duck” that I have ever found and eaten outside of Thailand. Special requests are accepted. Unfortunately the atmosphere is more like a 70s pub, but always clean.

Everything was great on site. The service is great because you can see how much the ladies are putting you through it so that the process is right. And I never had to wait long, whether on site or when ordering. Thank you very much

Food tastes and smells like rancid fat and otherwise has no taste of its own. The sauces were forgotten. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here. Terrible.
