A decent restaurant with good dishes. Food came quickly and service was OK.

If you like unfriendly service and unwilling staff, this is the place for you. Among other things, you were yelled at by the lady because you were waiting for her in two different places at the counter (she wasn't there for a while and you didn't know where you were allowed to sit). The Easter menu couldn't be found on the menu, so my mother-in-law dared to look for it. This was met with incomprehension and impudence. Even the well-intentioned suggestion that the card was missing was met with the greatest displeasure. Finally, you dared to stand up from your seat and discreetly ask for payment for everyone. When they saw me, there was a gruff “Are you looking for something?” from the counter. You can't pay with an EC card here because "only cash is true." New guests considered sitting outside and commented so. But the lady pointed out in a corresponding tone that they weren't allowed to do that. It's also a long (extra) way out of there, which is increased by the fact that you feel like you bring out each glass individually (to a table of three) instead of transporting everything you need on a tray. Well, definitely not recommended, even if the location certainly has a certain potential.

Extremely friendly and competent service, which enabled us to have a fantastic evening with extremely delicious food despite our time pressure despite a full house and a lack of staff! Thank you!

There are only delicious things and I am completely satisfied

In einer schönen Lage zwischen den Bäumen liegt die Waldquelle, die auch eine Außengastronomie hat. Ein schönes helles und freundliches Ambiente, in dem die Tische nicht - wie sonst so häufig - dicht gedrängt nebeneinander stehen. Die Speisekarte offeriert eine gute Auswahl an Gerichten, einschließlich lokaler Spezialitäten wie böhmischen Knödeln. Sehr gut gelöst für die Senioren: Es gibt jedes Gericht als kleinere Portion, auch der Preis verringert sich dadurch. Während unseres Urlaubsaufenthaltes in Bad Elster waren wir hier mehrfach essen und sind kein Mal enttäuscht worden. Die Gerichte sind frisch und von guter Qualität, geschmacklich sehr ansprechend und - das kann man als Vorteil oder Nachteil sehen: Es ist nicht wenig, was da auf dem Teller vor einem liegt. Sonderwünsche beim Essen wurden freundlich entgegen genommen und umgehend umgesetzt. Die aufmerksame Bedienung registrierte sofort, wenn die Gläserinhalte dem Ende zugingen und bot auch nach dem Hauptgang Desserts an (hier empfehle ich übrigens ganz klar die Windbeutel!). Insgesamt: Sehr empfehlenswert. Deswegen sahen wir nach dem ersten Besuch auch keine Notwendigkeit, uns woanders zu verköstigen.
