A surprisingly good kebab shop – open even late at night during the week. I had the Adana kebab and was pleasantly surprised by the quality: well-seasoned, juicy, and freshly prepared. A definite recommendation, especially if you want something decent to eat late at night.
We have been to Sumo before when it was still in Güdingen. My colleague has been here several times and now we had to try it out and were pleasantly surprised. It is located in the commercial area and therefore there are plenty of parking spaces around, which was a positive thing. The restaurant is not very big, so it's best to book a table in advance. The staff is very quick and courteous. The space is very nice and modernly furnished. The toilets are at ground level, which is important for people with walking difficulties. The food (sushi and duck) was very tasty. The price-performance ratio is definitely right and the portions are large. We will definitely come back.
Since this post we have come back dozens of times and still love it. The taste, the portions and the price/performance ratio are just right. It should also be mentioned that food is available to order/pick up. Many of our friends have also been there in the meantime and are always happy to come back.
At the entrance there is a large board with additional dishes listed, but if you want to change a dish a little, there are no problems.
The staff and the boss are very accommodating and friendly.
I've been a regular customer at Bosporus for 25 years.
The doner kebab is always delicious.
The pita and ingredients are very fresh.
I even took the bus and Saarbahn from Rodenhof to Lebacher Straße when the shop had to move to eat doner kebabs. I often spent hours there with friends and family.
I ate a doner kebab for the first time in three years, and I have to say, unfortunately, the quality of the doner kebab leaves a lot to be desired. The pita is no longer fresh and crispy. The garlic sauce lacks flavor. The salad ingredients are also not as fresh. The entire doner kebab was very disappointing for me and my family. And the atmosphere of the shop was more like a storage room than an inviting snack bar. Unfortunately, that was the last time we ate there. Such a shame!
Highly recommended. Nice, competent staff. Above all, the boss himself.
Correction 2025: I have to re-evaluate the food and only get three (3) stars. The kebab plate has been disappointing the last two times. Very salty and very thinly spread the sauce on top in three narrow strips. Things were much better with the previous boss. Too bad
The D'Angelini restaurant completely convinced me with its exceptional cuisine and warm atmosphere.
The menu offers a diverse selection of Italian dishes, all prepared with fresh ingredients and a lot of love. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the sauce was rich and creamy.
The “Pepe” pizza with figs and guanciale was a special taste experience.
The service was friendly, attentive and very competent.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy and inviting. The decoration is elegant and modern, and the music is pleasant and not too loud.
Overall, I can only recommend the D'Angelini restaurant! It is a must for anyone who loves good Italian cuisine and is looking for a warm atmosphere. We will definitely come back!"
Rating: 5/5 stars
I'm very sorry...but this visit was the biggest failure...when we were looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant, we were hoping for good Chinese cuisine...Our expectations weren't very high...What happened next was beyond words...To be honest, we emptied our bottle of wine and tried to find something positive. Even at the next table
Complaints.. To go to the toilets you have to get a key like at the gas station.. Then this beautiful teddy toilet seat awaits you.. A rarity.. I've never seen anything like that before.. All joking aside.. the worst food I've ever eaten outside.. convince yourself.. that's also an experience..
Unfortunately, I didn't even get to eat, even though people had just paid, I wasn't offered a table. And the lady was also very unfriendly. Well then I went to the tobacco pond and they were happy to take my money.
Super good... Excellent presentation as usual and in a magnificent and pleasant setting 😊😉
Nothing to do with the one on rue nationale which is supposedly the best Asian in Forbach according to radio melody.
Twice there and twice sick🥵🥴
