The Old City Winery is an institution in Hönningen. A longer journey from Koblenz, Neuwied or Bonn is worthwhile. The food is fantastic. Roast goose, puttes and juicy schnitzels. Plus delicious salads and much more. A well-tapped cold drink and excellent wines are offered. Each table comes from a different time. The chairs are all different. The walls are partly decorated with tapestries. We had a wonderful evening with Tine and Franz.

Simple and user-friendly. Very good breakfast and warm welcome. Little parking. Noisy because of the railway...

Let's start there with the first order. Everything was totally soggy, burnt and absolutely inedible! So we called there because we had spent around €100 and spoke to the boss on the phone. The boss apologized and told us that we would get the next order on the house. Ordered food there today and my partner drove there. He had to argue back and forth 5 times because the boss told him he didn't know him at all. My friend suggested that he could show the bank transfer but the boss said he believed him. Among other things, we ordered a chocolate souffle, which they wanted to give us frozen and said that we could bake it ourselves. My partner finally got the food and wanted to leave, but the boss said that he should still pay extra despite the fact that it was now cheaper than the first order. My partner went out and looked in the bag. Order wrong! Salads were missing and the orders were put together completely wrong! My partner had to knock 20 times from the start (9 p.m.) because the door was already locked despite the opening hours being until 10 p.m. He didn't do it again and left. We will NEVER EVER eat there again and definitely do NOT recommend it!!!

Incredibly good!!! We ordered by phone and the lady on the phone was very accommodating and super nice. Food arrived warm and within half an hour... The best thing we've ordered in a long time, everything very fresh, well seasoned...Unfortunately I can't say how the consumption is on site, but after ordering, we'll definitely come by and see for ourselves! Price/performance is also great! A recommendation from the bottom of my heart!

Today I was totally disappointed. A table became available and I was able to sit down. Otherwise everything is occupied or reserved. As usual, the service was very friendly and nice. Then I got my water and ordered my food. Then the waitress came and placed a reservation sign on the table from a distance. So in other words: hurry up. Then the food came: the fish was swimming in fat and the potatoes were cold. Then a lady came to help. The table next door wanted to pay. I said: please bring me the bill too. The answer was pretty snarky: I already asked her with a bear or with a card. I've never experienced anything like that there.
