Very tasty Indian restaurant. We have already been to the restaurant, but we also order for home. It is important that there is no delivery service and can be picked up on site after pre-ordering by telephone.
The food in the restaurant is very plentiful and you'll feel full. It is a little “oak-rustic” furnished but very clean and tidy!
We think the food is a bit small for home. For example, with Butter Chicken you get exactly 5 pieces of meat. And we always order the naan bread 2-3 times because otherwise it isn't enough. However, when you pick it up you usually get a lassi to take home, which makes up for it a little.
The food was super delicious!
Not everyone likes it too spicy, but for us it was just right. You can also season it.
The portions were also generous.
It's actually a shame that you can't eat on site. But the personnel situation is generally difficult.
We ordered food for 6 people the day before. The delivery was slightly late (approx. 10 minutes). Everything was freshly prepared and very tasty. Unfortunately, the gyro was only lukewarm because it was only wrapped in a plastic tray with aluminum foil. This can & should be optimized.
The WAZ reported on September 19, 2023 about a new kebab snack bar in Gladbeck. We tried it on the same day:
a) The boss was probably in a bad mood and “squashed” an employee in front of the assembled customers. This has nothing to do with “the new team needs to grow together”!
b) The boss should have noticed the overflowing trash cans. Doesn't make a good impression when you enter.
c) The kebab was good. But what was special? I can get it from other kebab shops too.
Conclusion: If you want to be No. 1 in Gladbeck, you have to do more. Even a 6-year-old title of “Best Döner in Berlin” isn’t enough.
I would also pay 7-10 euros for a kebab.
+++ Update February 11, 2024 +++
Miscalculated. Load too big. Also not the 1a quality.
JA products in a torn box in the display are not well received by customers. A pity. Potential was there.
I had dinner there with my girlfriend on Tuesday. We both ordered the gyro plate. The meat tasted original Greek, unlike kebab meat. Together with the bean salad I ordered with it - and I notice when a salad isn't freshly made - it was as Greek as you know it. I can't understand a "Kevin" from further down here. The boss himself was very attentive and flexible. I wanted some tzatziki as a second helping. He looked over at the table and came straight. He took a small ladle and even brought it to me at the table, without charge. We were surprised because we don't know anything like that. We've decided not to go to McDonald's anymore if we're feeling peckish every now and then. You can easily stop in the weather shaft, especially since the fries are much better there.
