The best authentic Turkish food ever!!! I'm absolutely thrilled with everything; it couldn't be better. I hope you can reopen soon after that awful fire.

Hier wird nicht lang um den heißen Brei herumgeredet, sondern abgeliefert. Das Essen ist absolute Spitzenklasse – saftiges Fleisch, perfekt gewürzt und einfach richtig lecker. Dazu gibt’s ein Team, das trotz Stress immer ein Lächeln und einen netten Spruch parat hat. Wer Wert auf Qualität und Herzlichkeit legt, ist hier genau richtig. Ich war super zufrieden.

Absolut enttäuschend. Für 15 € so einen schlechten Döner-Teller zu servieren, ist schon fast eine Frechheit. Das Fleisch war trocken, geschmacklos und wirkte alles andere als frisch. Die Portion war lächerlich klein und steht in keinem Verhältnis zum Preis. Hier stimmt weder die Qualität noch die Menge. Definitiv keine Empfehlung.

Einfach nur top! Ich würde am liebsten mehr als 5 Sterne vergeben. Vom freundlichen Empfang über den aufmerksamen Service bis hin zum hervorragenden Geschmack der Speisen – ein absoluter Gaumenschmaus. Meiner Meinung nach das beste Holzkohlegrill-Restaurant in ganz NRW. Eine wunderschöne Location, perfekt für Familien und Paare. Immer wieder gerne!

Man wird sehr herzlich Empfangen, selbst wenn aufgrund des Ramadan alles reserviert ist und das Personal total im Stress ist, bekommt man dennoch einen Platz angeboten. Ich war schon mehrfach mit Freunden und auch der Familie hier zum Essen. Die Gastfreundschaft ist überragend, der Service hervorragend und das Essen unglaublich lecker und aromatisch. Es wird auf alle Wünsche eingegangen. Die Vorspeisenplatte ist der Knaller, liebevoll angerichtet und auch die übrigen Speisen haben mich und die anderen Gäste immer voll überzeugt. Authentischer kann ich in Gladbeck kein anderes türkisches Restaurant finden.

Trotz Ramadan und einer bewusst etwas reduzierten Karte wurden wir unglaublich herzlich empfangen und aufmerksam bewirtet. Man merkt sofort: Hier steht echte Gastfreundschaft im Mittelpunkt. Das gesamte Team ist außergewöhnlich freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich – man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen. Es ist, als würde man für ein paar Stunden Urlaub in der Türkei machen. Die Speisen vom Holzkohlegrill sind frisch, qualitativ hochwertig und geschmacklich einfach hervorragend. Alles wird mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Besonders schön ist, dass regelmäßig nachgefragt wird, ob noch etwas fehlt – Brot, Soßen, Suppe oder auch ein Nachtisch werden selbstverständlich angeboten. Dieser aufmerksame Service ist heutzutage nicht mehr selbstverständlich. Wir waren schon mehrfach dort und werden inzwischen erkannt und wie Stammgäste behandelt – das spricht für sich. Man fühlt sich rundum wohl, wertgeschätzt und einfach gut aufgehoben. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können das Meydan jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der echte türkische Gastfreundschaft und hervorragendes Essen erleben möchte. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolut verdiente 5 Sterne!

Wow, haben uns heute einen Grillteller für 4 Personen gegönnt und was soll ich sagen, super. Optisch vielleicht mit vielen anderen Restaurants mit Levantischer Küche vergleichbar, aber definitiv nicht im Geschmack, das Fleisch super auf den Punkt gegrillt, gut Gewürzt, zart wie schon lange nicht mehr gehabt, die Pommes sehr knusprig und lecker, Salate frisch mit tollem Dressing. Zwei verschiedene Reis Sorten. Einfach super genau wie der Hausgemachte Eyran. Tolles Essen toller Service, hier lasse ich gerne mein Geld....

15 Euro für solch winen Dönerteller. 6Pommes knorpeliges Fleisch. Beschämend und überhaupt nicht empfehlenswert.

Wir waren nun schon öfter hier und es war immer toll. Essen lecker, Service schnell und sehr freundlich. Das Ambiente ist auch schön (zumindest hinten). Im vorderen Bereich mit dem Grill ist viel Trubel aber wirklich ungemütlich wird es dadurch nicht. Wer es aber etwas ruhiger mag geht halt nach hinten.

Ich gehe mit meiner Frau gerne türkisch Essen und ich muss sagen das Restaurant ist einfach großartig, wir haben schon lange nicht mehr so gutes und vor allem Traditionelles gegessen Bulgur war überragend gut. Das Fleisch vom Grill einfach nur Lecker sowohl das Lamm als auch das Hähnchen sind super zart und geschmackvoll. Da sind keine Soßen notwendig. Wir waren spontan zu Silvester da obwohl wir nicht reserviert haben wurden wir super freundlich empfangen und konnten dort essen.

Wir gehen seit vielen Jahren immer wieder in dieses Restaurant – und fast jedes Mal nur wegen des Grilltellers, weil er einfach unschlagbar gut ist! Die Qualität ist konstant top und man schmeckt, dass hier mit Herz gekocht wird. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der Service: extrem kinderfreundlich, herzlich und aufmerksam. Das Team nimmt sich immer Zeit, mit den Gästen zu reden, Empfehlungen auszusprechen und geht auf Wünsche ein – selbst Sonderwünsche werden problemlos erfüllt. Für uns jedes Mal ein Besuch wert. Hello... We ate at the restaurant a few days ago. The service was super friendly, the food was fresh, and the taste was excellent. Yesterday I ordered food, and it was delivered very quickly. The bread and food were still piping hot. The quality of the food was outstanding! Unfortunately, the lamb skewer was missing from my grill plate, and the menu listed lamb chops... I only had one. These things happen. Still, 5 stars!

Unfortunately, due to a broken foot, I'm still learning to walk with crutches. So we decided to get our food to go and drove from Marl to Gladbeck. I've never experienced such friendly service. I was immediately offered a chair and a cup of tea. To ensure I could safely get to the car with my bag and crutches, a young waiter even accompanied me. We (parents and two toddlers) went to the restaurant for dinner during the week and left absolutely delighted! From the warm, family-like welcome to the prompt service (menus, taking orders, drinks, etc.) to the serving of the food, the start of the evening was simply excellent. Although the restaurant was really full – it's certainly advisable to reserve a table for dinner on weekdays – the staff kept a watchful eye on all the tables, frequently checking to make sure everything was alright, and were always friendly and approachable. The young men always had a few words or a joke for our children, as well as for the children at the neighboring tables. You really get the feeling that children are valued and treated as guests here! The food (dipping sauces as meze, freshly baked bread, falafel platter, Adana platter, and wonderfully thin and flavorful lahmacun) was superb, all our requests were accommodated, and the portion sizes were perfect. The prices are also very reasonable; we enjoyed a delicious meal and a lovely evening as a family. ... Just a quick note, since someone in a review complained about the relaxed service: Meydan is incredibly friendly, lively, and informal. We loved it – just don't expect a formal restaurant with classical music and a quiet atmosphere. But if you want to eat like you're among friends, this is definitely the place for you.

Actually quite tasty, but we had a small kunefe with Mara's ice cream (€8) even though we ordered a large portion, and we weren't told that it was the small portion a) b) when we checked out, instead of two large teas for €2, we were charged for fries (€3) Unfortunately, this was quite dishonest and spoiled the whole atmosphere.

A very nice restaurant, and you can tell the love and care goes into making it. We had the Mercimek soup as a starter, which was delicious. The fresh, homemade bread that came with it was especially delicious. For the main course, we had a kusbasipide and a doner kebab, and both were very fresh, delicious, and of good quality. We highly recommend Meydan and would like to thank the entire team.

I ate at Meydan with my family today. We ordered and the food came relatively quickly. The food was served, but we didn't have any cutlery! We waited at least five minutes for the cutlery! Of course, the food got cold in the meantime. We didn't eat it. It's truly outrageous that you have to wait almost five minutes for the cutlery. We will never visit this restaurant again.

We saw Maydan on TV and decided to eat there because of the charming host. And we weren't disappointed! He greeted us attentively and friendly right at the door. The entire staff, of which there are many, is absolutely hospitable and dedicated! That alone is really great! All questions and special requests are carefully addressed, and if a request is left unfulfilled, it's definitely not the fault of the service – thank you again for that! The food and drink selection is comprehensive and fits the "Turkish snack bar" concept, as emphasized in the TV report – but a bit more like a restaurant. The ambiance was okay, the wall benches very cozy! In the entrance area, the typical snack bar layout: cash register, dessert, grilled meat, and a charcoal grill – makes you really want to eat! And it was truly delicious! The tripe soup was unfortunately sold out, but the saghanaki was super delicious! The lentil soup with fresh lemon is also highly recommended. Bulgur/rice & vegetables from the grill plate, and the meat perfectly cooked, a mild, not at all over-seasoned taste experience – truly delicious thanks to the grilled aroma. A little tip: with the grill plate for 2 (51), add a large spoonful for the bulgur/rice, so guests can get it more easily on their plates ;). A full dessert would have been too much for me, so I got a slice of Turkish ice cream with pistachio crumbs (delicious!), which reminded me of the 30-pfennig ice cream on a stick from my childhood. The Turkish mocha & tea definitely made us feel like welcome guests. We discovered the "ayran fountain" while paying and got one "on the house" – also delicious & homemade, and yes: if you want to experience Turkish hospitality and a world of flavors, this is the place for you!

We discovered this restaurant through My Local, Your Local. The quality of the food is sensational. We've been looking for a Turkish restaurant of this style for years, and we've finally found it in our neighboring town. The many different dips alone are masterful and keep you coming back. And everything else we had is the same. Each one tastes better than the last. This applies to starters, main courses, and desserts. It's especially worth mentioning that we're vegetarians and have a very wide selection! The ambiance is also exceptionally good and high-quality. And the service is some of the best we've ever had. From the friendly, humorous boss to the waitresses, you're treated like a long-time regular, always with a genuine smile on their faces—a fantastic atmosphere! Even our dog is always included in the friendly service, which is unusual in Turkish restaurants. We're already really looking forward to our next visit; it's always an experience. Another thing we noticed: If there's anything left on their plates at Meydan, almost all guests have the rest packed up. How often do you see that? And then think about why! :-))
