Excellent food and warm service – a real highlight in Düsseldorf! Today we were in the beer garden at Monte Christo, Wiedfeld 101, in Düsseldorf and were absolutely thrilled! As soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the boss, who guided us through the small but fine menu with a lot of charm and competence. Her recommendations were to the point - you can immediately tell that the work here is done with passion. The food, the freshly baked bread with dips, as well as the grilled kabab skewers were very tasty: everything was freshly prepared, tasted excellent and prepared very lovingly. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the experience in the kitchen. We would also like to particularly emphasize the excellent price-performance ratio - you really get something for your money here. The beer garden also offers a very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere - perfect for escaping from everyday life and simply enjoying yourself. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend the Monte Christo - a real insider tip in Düsseldorf Himmelgeist/Itter but a little outside, very close to the Rhine! The journey there is definitely worth it.

Good food, sometimes a bit small portions

Glasses were unwashed, cobwebs in the corner, the table still had crumbs on it. Sorry - but I don't understand this restaurant's 4.7 star rating! The papadam (see picture) tasted very stale and no longer crunchy. There was only one sauce. Biryani rice was ok but chicken very tough. Very large portion for that. Price is also cheap - but definitely NOT worth recommending, I'm sorry 😔Even if the staff seemed friendly.

Ordered online, delivery promised in about 40 minutes. When the order didn't come after 90 minutes, I wanted to ask by phone. It was constantly busy, then I ordered somewhere else and told Lieferando that the order hadn't arrived. After almost 2 hours (!!!!) the driver rings the bell. They have so much to do. Yes, I understand. But why do you set the portal to “In delivery, your order is about to arrive”? For 90 minutes? Why not call or at least make sure you can be reached? Others can do it too! I then refused acceptance because of the massive delay without any information. The driver then called the boss, who literally told me that not taking the food now would be "haram"... The store then set the order at Lieferando to “delivered”, which is simply a lie (so much for “Haram”). The owner has denied the complaint in the online portal and is not returning the money. I can't judge food. But in my opinion, no proper businessman or restaurateur works like that.

Thank you very much for the lovely evening. It was one of our favorite restaurant experiences. We were personally and warmly welcomed by one of the two chefs. The restaurant is small and plays soft music. In each of the 4 courses you could choose from one of two dishes. We also had non-alcoholic wine and sparkling wine. Each of the dishes was not only excellent in terms of craftsmanship, it was also creative, with unexpected nuances that combined beautiful flavors on the fork, such as rice pudding foam with leeks in the dessert. The restaurant is not an assembly line, every plate is prepared with love, but in our opinion the price is absolutely fair. We have definitely put it on our wishlist and would like to come back again.

Really nice shop! Sushi tastes really good, even compared to others in Düsseldorf. Definitely come back! Everything was freshly rolled, you can see everything on site. You can't get it everywhere! Very good shop even after years!

Absolutely recommendation. The sheep's cheese salad was lovingly prepared with fresh, selected ingredients. And it tasted so delicious. Splendid. And thank you. And guaranteed “see you soon”🫶

Very great restaurant and super delicious ten ten men ramen soup! I haven't tried anything else yet. The staff is very friendly and it's a quiet relaxed atmosphere. I really enjoy continuing to come here! :-)

I have to say something now: I don't go to the pottery room anymore because unfortunately it's more closed than open. The pub is closed, especially on public holidays and weekends, when people like to go out to eat and drink a delicious beer. This is simply incomprehensible to me. I thought a pub thrives on being open and serving customers. Instead, it seems as if the innkeepers prioritize their own celebrations and events and simply ignore the customers. I used to enjoy visiting the Pottery Room, but since it's been closed so often, I've been looking for other options. It's a shame because I have fond memories of the atmosphere and the food. *Conclusion:* Unfortunately closed too often, not a good option for people who want to eat and drink.

We wanted to eat there on Monday, January 13th, 2025, according to Google Maps it was open. The trip there ended in disappointment. The restaurant was closed and it seemed like this was a permanent situation.

Worst place I’ve been in Düsseldorf. Awful food and very overpriced, service doesn’t exist at all. Absolutely do not recommend to visit.
