We like to pick up a pizza on the weekend. I particularly like the pizza here because the ingredients are very fresh and the toppings are plentiful. Most of the time the base is very fluffy and baked up. Unfortunately, the last time I ordered the dough wasn't quite as plump and baked up. Nevertheless, the pizza usually always tastes very good and the staff is very friendly. I haven't eaten there yet.
The food (doner kebab and fries) is very tasty, but the service is even worse. The communication is very poor, you are not sure about the prices and the ordering is not progressing... the tables were dirty and the toilet too. Too bad.
The food is good but the price increases are absolutely outrageous and have no basis. E.g. steak plate, price increase of 38.1%! This then has nothing to do with increased costs/inflation.
Consumers should avoid this location to restore meaning to supply and demand.
We ate here for the first time today,
and we were just thrilled.
The food was super tasty and freshly prepared. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy. And the service is great.
Very clean and value for money also good. All stars well deserved
5/5 stars – A true taste experience in the Ahlen clay oven
I had the great pleasure of visiting the Lehmofen restaurant in Ahlen - and it was a real highlight in every respect. As soon as I arrived I was warmly greeted by the owner, an incredibly friendly man who has been running the restaurant with palpable passion since 1994. His hospitality alone would have earned five stars.
The ambience in the clay oven is cozy, warm and authentic - you immediately feel welcome. The furnishings are stylish, with great attention to detail, and convey a piece of Anatolian food culture. But what really counts is the food - and it was simply sensational.
I chose a mixed starter plate, followed by a lamb dish - and every single element was cooked to perfection. The starter plate offered a great variety: creamy dips, fresh vegetables, aromatic seasonings, everything incredibly fresh and harmoniously balanced. The lamb was the absolute highlight: served from the clay oven, tender as butter, juicy and full of flavor. It literally melted in your mouth. Everything was served on hot clay plates straight from the oven - authentically and with a lot of love in the preparation. A little note: Be careful, the plates are really hot - but that's part of the experience here.
The menu is impressively varied without being overwhelming. You can tell straight away that high-quality ingredients are used here and everything is served fresh to the table. The combination of traditional preparation and real craftsmanship in the kitchen is simply extraordinary.
The service was also excellent: friendly, attentive, professional. The service staff and even the chef smiled as they passed by - you can feel that a well-rehearsed team is enjoying their work here. The entire process was smooth and pleasant and I felt completely comfortable.
Conclusion: The Lehmofen restaurant is a culinary insider tip in Ahlen that I can warmly recommend. Authentic food, warm hosts, excellent service – all in a lovingly run family business with over 30 years of tradition. I will definitely come back!
Full 5 stars – absolutely deserved!
Exceptionally good cuisine. Very friendly, but not too intrusive service. The atmosphere is extremely pleasant.
Plenty of parking and also a nice party barn.
We were there for the first time, service was super friendly, food was delicious and the atmosphere was upscale. Went there spontaneously when the weather was bad, but will definitely be back when the weather is good. LG Jenny and Patrick
