Dies war unser erster Besuch nach Corona. Die ersten Eindrücke: stylish renoviert, trotz Donnerstagabend sehr voll, so dass wir ohne Reservierung Glück hatten, noch einen Tisch zu erhalten. Zweiter Eindruck nach Lesen der Karte: Preise wie früher im La Forge, Gerichte sind eine Mischung aus dem alten La Forge mit 60 € Menü und der Bierklause mit der guten alten Currywurst. Dann wurde die Service-Kraft bei unserer Bestellung von hinten angesprochen und unterbrochen. Auf die Frage, wer denn so ein Gespräch stört, hieß es nur, dass es sich um die Chefin handeln würde. Das war einfach unhöflich, so dass wir am liebsten gegangen wären. Dann konnten wir endlich bestellen. Der Aperitif kam sofort und die Cocktails waren super. Ein paar Minuten später kam schon das Hauptgericht, die eigentlichen Getränke kamen auf Nachfrage erst, als wir fast schon den Nachtisch bestellen wollten. Fazit: sehr freundliche Service-Kraft, der restliche Service passt aber in keiner Weise zum Anspruch des Hauses. Wie war das Essen? Es sah lecker aus, aber nur das Fleisch vom Wiener Schnitzel passte. Das Fett für die Bratkartoffeln war eher fischig, die Panade vom Schnitzel geschmacklos und weich. Fazit insgesamt: mehr Schein als Sein und Preis-Leistung passen absolut nicht.

The restaurant has a very nice location, the food is great, no matter what you order, it is reasonably priced. I would recommend this place, the manager and manageress are super nice, the restaurant is very nice inside. It is pleasant to sit there alone or with others. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants high-quality Italian food.

Nice little dance hall, you have to like the music. First and foremost, Discofox will be danced afterwards. The audience is over 45 years old 😉 cautiously estimated. The prices are okay, but there is a minimum consumption of €12.50, which I think is reasonable, since you don't pay an entrance fee for that.

We were back at El Greco after a long absence because we have had very mixed experiences with this restaurant in recent years. As we learned, the management changed last year. We were pleasantly surprised. The service was very friendly, the food was good and the prices were reasonable. We had a lovely evening and would love to come back.
