Always one of my favorite places. Unfortunately, the quality has noticeably deteriorated and, in addition to the store being full, there are still a lot of people picking up food. That didn't exist before. Attention was paid to the local people.
Be sure to specify when making your reservation if you would like to sit inside, otherwise you will inevitably be seated outside. Unfortunately, the food is now pretty much mass produced. Side salad strange and Min Kleini. The bread was loveless and unbaked. Otherwise, the food still tastes pretty good overall. It's a shame about the loss of quality. In addition to the naturally increased prices, I was surprised at the relationship between some of the prices. E.g.: 22€ rump steak and 16€ pork schnitzel. Both with fries. I still don't know what this has to do with Italian cuisine. But people order it up and down, so of course I understand that.
No offense intended, but overall we were rather disappointed after we hadn't been there for a while.
For me, Da Lugi is much more than just a restaurant - it's like a piece of Italy in the middle of Weiterstadt, a place where you immediately feel welcome. Every time I come here it is like coming home: warm, familiar and full of enjoyment.
The kitchen impresses with authentic, lovingly prepared dishes that not only fill you up, but make you happy. The good soul of the kitchen knows how to bring Italian classics to the plate with passion - you can taste it in every bite.
I would particularly like to highlight the fantastic wine selection: here you will find the right wine for every dish, carefully selected and recommended with expertise.
Da Lugi is a place where good food, warm hospitality and Italian lifestyle come together in perfect harmony. A real favorite restaurant that you simply don't want to miss.
Great atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff, and excellent drinks. Unfortunately, the food and payment options are a bit outdated: There aren't any modern vegetarian options, and card payments aren't accepted. We'll be back, though.
Sehr nette Bedienung.
