Very nice beer garden. Very attentive service. It's definitely on my next bike tour.

We visited the Nickelsmühle beer garden as part of a bike tour. The property looks very well-maintained. It's really great, with various seating areas where you can sit sheltered from the sun and rain. The tables and benches are partly made of extra-solid wood and have a lovely Mediterranean feel. There's a fixed service here, so no self-service... queuing. We ate an extra-spicy sausage here. It was great... although only for true chili enthusiasts. After asking, the host explained that it's made exclusively for his guests. The original men's restrooms are also worth seeing. In winter, the beer garden becomes a mulled wine garden. In my opinion, there's no taproom. The seating area seems to be "only" outside. In short, a place worth visiting; we'll be back.

Pretty nice place for your afternoon snacks or dinner. Bicyclists, hikers, etc. enjoy a variety of meals, beers, wines, etc... Occasional live cover bands for old school Rock and Roll.

A chance find on a sunny Saturday afternoon on the way from A to B. Lots of cars and lots of bicycles outside the door – that can only be a good sign. Inside, there are nice, shaded seats, a manageable menu where everyone should find something, cheerful and attentive staff at the counter – simply a little island to unwind. Thank you! Food totally overpriced and unfortunately not good. Service overwhelmed and sometimes unfriendly. I really wonder how these prices come about. Update 2025: a pretzel and some Obatzda for €8.50!!!! This is just an absolute disgrace.

Very nice place with lots of seating in the countryside. Very nice and hard-working service, but unfortunately the quality of the kitchen was poor this time. One star goes to the Vienna sausages, they were really tasty, fresh and crunchy 👍otherwise... Potato salad was returned, meatloaf was completely over-salted, fire sausage from the microwave (shrunk and burst, thin as a pen)🫣 Luckily the drinks were cold, served quickly and with a warm smile. Thank you Melanie🫠 Live band was an ABSOLUTE CRACKER!!!👍

You can spend time comfortably here. Popular with cyclists, there are some parking spaces for cars. The beer garden is large, with shaded areas and a play area for children. There is also delicious food, a large selection of drinks and ice cream from the chest. We'd love to come back :-)

Were there for the first time Is nice and out of the way. Nice ambience. There also seems to be a lot of live music being played, ours had just finished. Is a beer garden with service. The best way to get there is by bike. If there is a parking space, it will soon be full if there is a good number of visitors.

Could be better organized. Upon your request In the beginning everything was actually quite okay. The operation also worked quite well. However, later on we sat at our table for about 30 minutes without drinks. Things looked better in other areas. When I looked around for our waitress, I noticed that she was very busy with her cell phone and her male colleagues. She then actually came to our table again, but only to tell us that she would now like to collect and that she now had to fetch the drinks herself. I would have thought it would have been good to show up 10 minutes earlier, ask if you wanted anything else, bring the order, and be told that there is now only self-service. Then all drinks would probably be available for self-service. Unfortunately, not all drinks were available and you had to leave thirsty. This is what I mean by poorly organized. But a little later everything was okay and the good music filled the gap very well. A little more awake, a little more attention and you can spend a perfect beer garden evening with you. LG

Absolutely fantastic ambience, like being on holiday. The only thing that bothers you is the mosquitoes, but no one can do anything about that. Just think about mosquito spray and then this problem will be solved.

Good location, somewhat smaller beer garden, but definitely cozy with a small play area (sandpit, large barrel to hide in). I was disappointed with the food on offer (mainly sausage in different variations), but the regular customers certainly know that. It wasn't the right atmosphere for us today

What was surprising at first: beer garden with service. Okay, let's wait and see. Yes, it works. Drinks and food at the table in a short time. Beer and cider good cold; Meatloaf with onion sauce nice and hot. It tasted good too. We would love to come back 👍🏻

Not a nice beer garden - very cluttered, narrow and dark - lots of umbrellas. I had a "raspberry spritz" - terribly lukewarm glass - no ice, no raspberry. It was wine with raspberry syrup. There was no more food at 7:30 p.m. We then went to the counter to pay because no one came.

That was nothing this time either. Last time we were not very happy with friends. Nevertheless, we wanted to test the beer garden again so we could go here with our grandparents. Since I don't like eating meat, I studied the online menu beforehand. It was then said on site that this card was not valid on Sundays. Ok, it wasn't busy, but I found an alternative. When there was no food after 40 minutes, the waitress asked us if we hadn't eaten anything yet. After another eternity the food came, but the coleslaw was missing. That came later without a word of regret. When we wanted to order a cappuccino, we were told that it was too late and that there was only coffee left. The reference to the long wait only produced a shrug of the shoulders. It's a shame, there isn't another chance.

We always just drove past and then we had turned in. And we were very surprised and excited. Great service and the food was delicious too. So we'll be back. The spicy sausage does what it promises 😃

The ingredients of the meal seemed quite simple. The onion sauce on the meatloaf was onion soup The sausage in the sausage salad was pretty mushy. Presentation of the food lifeless. There is more emphasis on quantity than quantity. Ambiance under the roofs is a bit old-fashioned. Service top.

Yes, it's a beer garden and not a gourmet restaurant, but 12 euros for a ready-made frozen tarte flambée is really not appropriate. Especially not recommended in terms of taste. Then it's better to stick with tried and tested hand cheese and minced steak. However, nice atmosphere and very nice service.

Hello everyone, The beer garden has a really rustic and cozy atmosphere. The rustic wooden furniture and the decoration really look great and you immediately feel at home. I love your cheese plate, the cooked cheese is the highlight for me. The staff was also super friendly and attentive. The service was quick and always with a smile, which made the visit even more pleasant. I'll definitely be back and can only recommend your beer garden! Best regards

Very nice, shady, great beer garden. A lot of wood. A bit difficult for wheelchair users because of the gravel. Clean medical facilities, beautiful plants, easy to reach by bike or car. Since we were only drinking, I can't comment on the food, but it looked delicious.

One of the most beautiful beer gardens in HESSEN. Very friendly and capable staff. I will visit more often now. The music with MALLET was a delight. I am looking forward to the next time.

A really great and cozy location. But hopelessly overcrowded on sunny, beautiful days. Unfortunately, there would be room for more people if everyone didn't randomly remove chairs from the tables or if the operator simply bought more chairs. We wanted to go and would have liked to leave some money there. There were enough free seats at tables, but no chairs. Pretty bad. 🤷‍♂️ So we had to leave hungry and thirsty.

You sit comfortably outside and, in addition to delicious beer 🍻, you can also drink a good wine 🍷That's good and there's a nice selection available. A good recommendation.

Beautiful beer garden with a great ambience and piggies. This beer garden is an absolute highlight! The ambience is simply fantastic, with lots of trees, comfortable benches and tables and a great atmosphere. The staff is super nice and friendly and you immediately feel welcome. A very special highlight is the domestic pig! The food and drink is home-style and delicious, and the prices are fair. The only drawback was the long waiting times, but that was hard to avoid on such a busy day. All in all, I can highly recommend this beer garden!

The food and drinks were really very good here. The ambience is wonderful too! However, we arrived and we waited 30 minutes for drinks, then drinks were poured over us, but the waitress reacted really well and apologized and took care of us with drying etc. In the end there was even an apology schnapps when we asked 🥰 Claudia served us and she is soooo caring and personable, quick and emphatic! 🙏🏽 the first waitress almost forgot our order and this was quickly paid for by Claudia and the other waitress!

Wir waren auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt und es war wunderbar! Die Stimmung war ausgelassen und entspannt, der Andrang hielt sich im angenehmen Bereich, was auch der Stimmung gut tat! Rund um gelungen!

2019-07-25. Der heißeste Tag Deutschlands. Bei Flammkuchen, Handkäse mit Musik und Bier / Wasser haben wir die Hitze gut ertragen. Ha, wir haben sogar einen Bekannten aus Lorsch dort getroffen. Bedienung schnell und freundlich. Essen war lecker. Besonders der griechische Flammkuchen. 2020-08-11. Heute war es auch heiß. 32°C. Zu dritt dort. Nicht voll. Flotte Bedienungen und freundlich. Essen war gut. 2021-06-17. Heute wieder sehr heiß 34°C. Biergarten war fast voll. Wir hatten einen schönen Tisch unter Schirm. 3 Essen heute. Bedienung war heute ein sehr nette Frau. Venezuelanein. Handkäs mit Musik - Frikadelle mit Zwiebelsoße und Kartoffelsalat - Wurstsalat. 2022-05-26. Nach dem ich 2 Personen vom Flughafen abgeholt hatte, sind wir in der Nickelsmühle eingekehrt. Die 2 hatten echt Hunger, da es auf dem Flug von Madrid nichts zu Essen gab. Wir hatten: 3x Flammkuchen Elsässer-Art. Bratwurst war leider aus. Flammkuchen war sehr sehr lecker. Knusprig. Essen wir wieder. 2023-06-02: Schöner Sommerabend bei ca.27°C. War gut besucht aber nicht voll. Dieses mal hatten wir Flammkuchen Elsässer Art und Schweizer Wurstsalat mit Brot. Gottseidank hatten wir Jacken dabei, weil es wurde doch recht frisch.

Schöne Location, sehr rustikal, mitten in der Natur, man sieht uns hört die Flugzeugen vom nahen gelegenen Flughafen. Ansonsten kann man gut ein Bier trinken gehen. Für das Essen würde ich nicht unbedingt hingehen.

War schon öfters hier. Habe immer gut einen Parkplatz gefunden. Es gibt viele verschiedene Sitzmöglichkeiten und auch große Tische für Gruppen. Die Getränke sind kalt und süffig. Das Essen passt absolut zur Location, ist lecker und seinen Preis wert. Der richtige Ort um an schönen Sommertagen zu zweit oder mit kleinen- und großen Gruppen zusammenzusitzen und das Leben zu genießen.

Ein schönes Ausflugsziel, urig und bei schönen Wetter sehr zu empfehlen. Kleine Speisekarte und die Preise sind auch in Ordnung. Haben in den Wintermonaten nur für spezielle Aktionen geöffnet.

Toller Biergarten mit schönem Ambiente. Ein Gastronom der Livemusik noch zu schätzen weiß, das finde ich echt super. Die Preise sind etwas höher aber da hier bei live Veranstaltungen kein Eintritt verlangt wird und die Musiker dennoch bezahlt werden finde ich das völlig ok. Der Service ist meistens gut, hab aber auch schon erlebt dass man hier sehr lange auf dem trockenen sitzt obwohl die Bedienung durchaus Luft hat. Dafür gibt's einen halben Stern Abzug, da das positive überwiegt bleibt die Endnote bei aufgerundeten 5 Sternen
