Everything just fits here! 🙂👍🏼We from Lower Franconia 🇧🇭 wanted to go to a Zoiglwirtschaft. The innkeepers are very nice, the Zoigl and the snacks are very good. We'll definitely be back on our next Upper Palatinate vacation. Keep it up.

We have a restaurant ourselves and if we ever manage to go to colleagues as guests, it should be something different than what is on our own menu every day - so let's go to the Greek restaurant! The Helena restaurant is a bit hidden and the dining room is not very large, but it is nicely decorated, clean, tidy and the rustic bar and decoration also convey the popular taverna charm. Not everything is very modern anymore, but that's okay - cleanliness is much more important to us as professionals, and there's nothing to complain about. Luckily we had reserved, it was relatively full and during the week (Wednesday evening 6:30 p.m.). The menu is manageable (positive!) but anyone who is looking forward to Greek dishes will definitely find what they are looking for. The prices are really reasonable for the food and especially the portions on offer. After ordering, we had the classic round of ouzo, iced. We had an appetizer platter for two, but it was easily enough for the four of us - two adults and two teenagers. There were various platters as main courses, it's always difficult to decide and so there's a little bit of everything. The garlic potatoes as a side dish were interesting, I've never seen them like this anywhere else. In my "Helena platter" the gyros were juicy and well cooked, the souflaki skewer with tender, lean meat was really tasty, the bifteki was a little dry and had a dark "grill pattern" but was also completely fine. All dishes were neatly presented and professionally prepared. For the four of us, however, the spice was missing, both on the meat and on the side dishes; the only thing that was really tasty (and therefore very dominant) was the garlic. The waiting time for the starter was okay at around 20-25 minutes, it was quite busy and the kitchen was probably busy. The waiting time until the main course was then quite short. The gentleman in service (probably the boss himself?) was very friendly and attentive from start to finish, always with a smile at our table, we felt very comfortable. Since I manage the service in my own restaurant and do it exactly the way I would like to be treated as a guest - everything done right, respect to my colleagues. In any case, we had a lovely evening as a family (on our 15th wedding anniversary, by the way) and can definitely recommend the Helena restaurant for a visit. Great location. It is advisable to find out about the opening times in advance. Large menu. Everything freshly prepared and delicious. Great selection of schnapps for afterwards. Good price-performance ratio. Recommended.

The service was super friendly and gave us great advice. We really didn't have to wait long. The portions are completely sufficient! Can't complain about anything - except that the parking spaces aren't that cheap and there aren't enough of them, but otherwise it's great! Happy to come back 🙂

We were only there to eat and once again we ate very well

It's rather difficult to eat there. The bread tasted old and the potato soup was watery. The waitresses were very nice. Overall too expensive.

When you do a lot of advertising for the 90s and 2000s and then you play such nonsense remixes... no one expects that... I'm very disappointed. And besides, I just wanted to drink a wheat drink. Then I heard from every counter that there were no more wheat glasses and the “nice” service staff didn’t want to give me the wheat in the bottle.

The zander fillet with grilled vegetables and sweet potato potatoes and the vegetarian pizza were delicious 😋 and the service was very nice. We'd love to come back.

Down-to-earth Greek food, I would have liked to give it five points. Unfortunately, there was a bit of something missing for the eye, otherwise everything the store offers was pretty decent. I can't complain about the innkeeper, he's doing his job and the way you shout into the forest, you naturally get the echo. Is open-minded and accommodating.
