Wirtshaus im Freilandmuseum Fam. Wiesenbacher in Nabburg

Great historic inn! Unfortunately, the staff is often overwhelmed and slow. The food has been the same for many, many years, just a small snack menu… even on big holidays! The ingredients are of the cheapest quality, supermarket/cash and carry. Local specialties? Forget it! For example: a pair of Vienna sausages has gone from €3.50 to €4.90?! The cheapest stuff! Sometimes they have potato pancakes outside, but they run out quickly… This doesn't do justice to the inn! Especially since they now only have the "basic" beer that I can drink anywhere… years ago they at least had Zoigl… that's gone too… all in all, really not a plus for this open-air museum! They have to do better!!!

We were annoyed: the portion/quantity was too small, and the quality was poor. The price-performance ratio is completely off! The meatloaf was just ordinary sliced ​​cold cuts, the bread was dry, and the soup was watery. We don't understand why the Upper Palatinate district allows such an establishment in an otherwise very beautiful open-air museum.

The waiters constantly get lost at the table and stumble around with their food. Our ordered cake didn't arrive until we paid. It wasn't possible to buy the cake at the counter either. Well, no cake at all, then.

The perfect place to stop while exploring the Upper Palatinate Open-Air Museum. The staff is friendly and efficient, the food is delicious, and the price is reasonable. Thumbs up for the Wiesenbacher Inn. 👍🏻

The food there isn't very good. The bread tasted stale and the potato soup was watery. The service was very friendly. Overall, it's too expensive.

Very pleasantly surprised. A really lovely inn at the open-air museum. They offer a variety of cold snacks, Vienna sausages, Bauernseufzer cake, and ice cream. It's a perfect fit for the museum; in my opinion, you don't need anything more. Very friendly service. Perfect for a bite to eat while visiting the open-air museum. We'll definitely be back!

Thank you for your review, but we would like to correct the incident. On Friday, July 27, 2024, my server asked you to take a seat in the beer garden because she was preparing a meal for a guest at the time. Immediately afterward, you were asked if you had already taken a menu. Ms. L replied, "No." The server immediately needed the menu and wanted to take your order. The woman responded forcefully with, "No, I don't want anything else now!" The other guests immediately expressed their outrage, asking what was wrong with this woman. They praised the lovingly prepared food, the friendliness, and the speed of the service. They couldn't understand the woman's reaction. We would be very happy, dear Ms. L, to welcome you back to our beer garden soon. Until further notice, have a good time.

One star is too many! I can only recommend everyone avoid this place and bring their own snack! We were just there and wanted to stop for a snack. As I walked into the restaurant, the waitress escorted me out with the words, "Sit down! I'll be right there!" So we sat down. The waitress then came out, but only to take the money from ALL occupied tables, regardless of whether they wanted to order something or not. (End of shift?!) That took a while, of course. Finally, she came over to us and asked what we wanted. We then asked for the menu, only to be yelled at, asking why we hadn't gotten it inside? How could you possibly be thrown out without much ado?! That was the last straw, and we finally got up and left, despite our hungry toddler. You don't have to put up with everything; hospitality is a foreign concept here.

Such a shame! The ambiance is great, and after a short hike, you look forward to a good snack in the "rustic beer garden." Unfortunately, we waited almost 40 minutes for our four drinks. After over an hour, our food finally arrived – Bauernseufzer (farmer's sigh) with cabbage and pressed sausage with bread. The portion of cabbage was very small, and the red-and-white pressed sausage was just white. Unfortunately, the price isn't enough to compensate for the wait. No, we don't need that again...

Great location. Service was friendly, but the bar seemed understaffed. (Wait time: 40 minutes for three drinks.) We declined the food after 1:30 hours because the order of service and the wait time were too long for us. The hostess was not open to criticism, saying that she needed to work on the organization. Staff shortages can't be a blanket excuse. Note: The Spring Festival, including the influx of visitors, probably played a role.

Save your money if you want 2 cups of watered down vegetable soup. I have been coming here for over 15 years. Unfortunately, things have changed. Kids loved the curry wurst at the farm museum on Easter Monday.. Lol! Never again, sad but true.

It's a shame, it's very nice to sit there, but the service (one is probably not enough) is hopelessly overwhelmed. We left after waiting for over half an hour because we weren't served. The selection of food on offer is very banal. Maybe self-service would be a better concept.

The ideal place for a break during a visit to the open-air museum. Here you can rest and rest. Many different snacks, warm dishes and drinks to choose from. The staff is friendly and competent.

Freundliche und schnelle Bedienung, sehr leckeres Essen für zwischen durch und super günstig :-)

Wir waren heute dort essen, das Ambiente ist herrlich und passt super ins Freilandmuseum. Der Service war unterirdisch. 1 Minute nach der Bestellung fragte uns die nette Kellnerin nochmal nach unserer Bestellung da sie es schon vergessen habe. Als die Speisen an den Tisch kammen fehlten zwei Gerichte von 4. Nach Aufforderung meiner Seits wurden die fehlenden Gerichte noch gebracht. Und man wird es nicht glauben bei der Bezahlung hat die gleiche Kellnerin noch vergessen ein essen zu berechnen. Geschmacklich möchte ich mich erst gar nicht äußern! Wenn die Qualität stimmt bin ich gern bereit einen vernünftigen Preis dafür zu bezahlen aber das hat nichts mit essen zu tun gehabt. Schade das man mit so einer schlechten Gastwirtschaft das eigentlich wirklich schöne Freilandmuseum nicht in guter Erinnerung behalten wird.

Ein altehrwürdiges Wirtshaus, das sich in das Museum sehr gut einfügt. Regionale Kost suuuperschmackhaft!

Freundlich, Bier lecker, gemütlich, Preise ok

Ein gemütliches Wirtshaus, welches zum verweilen einlädt. Es werden "typische" bayerische Speisen angeboten. Das Essen war gut, wenn auch vielleicht ein wenig teurer, aber dafür hatte man eine schöne Aussicht auf einen Weiher und die Natur Die Getränke hätten etwas kühler sein können

Leider hatten wir nach knapp 2 h noch kein Essen. Küche total überfordert.

Sehr lecker, allerdings "nur" Brotzeit. Schnitzel und Co. gibt's hier leider nicht aber die angebotenen Speisen sind super!

Leckeres Essen, uriges Wirtshaus mit Biergarten.

Wir hatten eine leckere Kartoffelsuppe und ein paar Art Mettwürstchen. Das war gut. Wiener Würstchen finde ich eher langweilig und für die Ambiente wenig angebracht. Da gibt es bestimmt Essen, die eher zum Park passen.

Sehr nette Bedienung. Für unsere Gruppe von ca. 35 Personen wurde extra Schweinebraten gemacht. Und der Schweinebraten war superlecker. Schade, dass es den nur an Sonn- und Feiertagen angeboten wird. Bin immer wieder gerne dort.

Kleine Mahlzeiten wie Wiener, Kraut oder Brotzeitplatten.Preislich ok. Das Essen war sehr lecker (geräucherte Forelle) und die Bedienungen sehr freundlich.Kaffee und Kuchen gibt's es auch, der Kuchen war sehr lecker.

Da gestern schlechtes Wetter war konnte man sich die Besucher an einer Hand abzählen, dadurch war natürlich alles tiefen entspannt. Zu uns war die Bedienung sehr freundlich das essen einfach aber dennoch gut und reichhaltig . Zu guter Letzt wurden wir auch noch von einer Hauskatze adoptiert. Der Außenbereich sollte mal nachgebessert werden,manche Sitzbank wirkt nicht mehr vertrauenswürdig.

Leckeres Essen, schöne Atmosphäre, freundlich Bedienungen. Preise ok. Es gibt eigentlich nur Brotzeiten. Vollwertige Gerichte gibt es leider nicht.
