We were probably there for the last time.
The food was really no longer good and was carelessly prepared. You don't really expect guests. Therefore there would be improvisation and thawing. It was also very cold. It's a shame that it used to be better. I can't recommend it more.

A lot was delivered. Few guests. The tables are far apart. Comfortable armchairs. The furnishings are minimalist. From the outside it wasn't immediately clear whether it was open or closed.
Unfortunately the terrace was closed due to rain.

Warm service! So far I've only eaten there in the evening, today for the first time at lunchtime and it was also excellent. Absolute recommendation, no matter what time.
I wanted to celebrate my birthday there (albeit a while ago) and so I made a reservation. I called again the day before to see if everything was going well and was told in a relaxed manner that I shouldn't worry. And then we all stand together in front of closed doors on the reserved date. Nobody could be reached by phone either.
The least you can expect if something so important comes up that you don't open at all or open later is that you let the guests who have reserved know. I left my phone number. Even afterwards, no one contacted me to apologize or explain. Very weak and unreliable.
Actually, I don't even want to remember yesterday's evening. As two adult colleagues, we were in the restaurant for the first time.
Arrival was at 7:15 p.m.
There was a free table at the door - everything was fine up to this point.
When we received the menus from the waitress without a greeting after about 20/30 minutes of waiting, the new topic for the table conversation was easily identified.
The menu is difficult in terms of design and quality.
After a long wait we were able to order.
When I ordered a dark shandy, this was denied with very bad German. You always have to order 2. This is what we had in mind. But the lady didn't understand. The order still went through when she suggested it. What a fight. :-) I had politely asked how my meal (46) was correctly pronounced - this was realized, but she dismissed it contemptuously. At this point we read the reviews... a bit too late.
The portions arrived at the table about 15-20 minutes apart. (Mine at 8:19 p.m.)
The dark shandy wasn't the best quality.
The food tastes really good except for the rice. Complaining would not be allowed. I don't know if this is "original Thai". That's how it works for me. It doesn't stay really warm despite the candle. I didn't understand how that could be - no criticism!
We got a rice pan for 2 dishes. Didn't look like too much rice... Since my colleague was 15 minutes early, my rice wasn't quite as fresh and warm. This is unacceptable.
After I ran out of rice after half the portion of 46 (vegetables with duck), I ordered the supposedly missing portion for myself.
When I was paying I noticed the rice. I mentioned the 5 euros. It was countered intelligently: "Boss says rice should also be paid." Then that's how it should be.
Unfortunately, I was so stupid that I even gave the lady a small tip. I just hope it's shared with the kitchen. So, it's almost 9:30 p.m....which can take a bit of waiting and chewing time.
That there was a slight pull on the door - forgiven and forgotten.
The fact that the inner vestibule door slams when closing is almost no longer worth mentioning. When other guests have a blast, it's much more fun than when you're too incompetent yourself.

So I've never seen a delivery in a restaurant because it usually happens in the back. But it doesn't bother me either. But what was strange was that the delivery consisted of a box. :D (Please recalculate the optimal order point.)
Conclusion: I've wanted to go to this exact restaurant for a long time,
since I know all "Thai, Asian etc." want to try in Donauwörth. I was already annoyed at the Lotus, but yesterday was some of the worst service I've ever had. The store was almost full. I also want people to be successful, but my money no longer goes there.
We always remained polite until the end. Unfortunately, the service didn't deviate from its line.
