We spent three wonderful days at the Gashof Engel in Tennenbach. Wonderful location, great cuisine and a very friendly and open-minded owner. It's not far to Freiburg and the historical surroundings are perfect for hiking. Recommended as a starting point or stopover by motorcycle.

Very nice inn. Super friendly hosts and lovely service. Great location and nice big rooms with good beds, shower with good toiletries. The food in our own restaurant was very tasty 👍Special requests were no problem. The breakfast was just as delicious - good rolls, plates with cheese and sausage, boiled egg, coffee or tea as desired, fruit yoghurt, apple or banana, all beautifully presented 👍 We felt completely comfortable and would love to come back 😃

Am Tag des Besuches gab es kein kebap.. Nach kurzer Enttäuschung Bestellte ich ein köfte Teller. Das Fleisch war gut..Beilage war nicht meins.

We wanted to try out a different restaurant with a buffet last week and decided on this one because of the many good reviews. First impression... very cramped and dark...sometimes dirty. The lunch buffet was more of a buffet...and pretty poor However, the taste was good. Service and operation were not unfriendly but slow and not very organized. We won't be back. It's a shame, we had hoped for more.

The food is overall okay. The meat was a bit dry. The tzatziki is quite good. To be honest, the Metaxa sauce seemed like ready-made sauce to me. I've eaten better from other Greeks. It was also way too salty. I make them much better myself according to the recipe. The patatakia were good. The starter salad wasn't good at all. The dressing is still fine, but otherwise it would just be too big green lettuce leaves and a piece of cucumber... no cabbage, no pepperoni... I don't find the atmosphere comfortable at all. The light, the furnishings, the music are just not comfortable for me. The service was good. Even if they didn't ask for drinks and didn't ask if everything was okay after they were served... even though there wasn't much going on. But the service was friendly. Next time I'd rather drive a little further so I can enjoy it too.
