I can recommend this exceptionally well-run inn at any time. The always very friendly owners and service staff provide first-class, varied, and plentiful regional cuisine, not only in the dining room. Homemade gateaux, cakes, and bread dumplings are just a small selection. The room was always clean, well-maintained, and had no defects, and the breakfast was extensive and completely sufficient. This contributed to my very satisfied stay, not only because of the beautiful landscape of the Breisgau and the Black Forest. I can recommend the area to hikers, cyclists, and ambitious (hobby) cyclists. The climbs there are first-class mountain training, and the valleys offer unique beauty. Feldberg, the Rhine Falls, Basel, Freiburg, and the magnificent city of Strasbourg are just around the corner. The Breisgau and the Black Forest are always worth a proper summer vacation; the selection of activities is extensive, and the country inn "Zum Engel" offers everything a vacationer needs.

I come here for lunch every now and then. The food selection, cuisine, and service are excellent. The drink prices are also excellent. Absolutely recommended!

I stayed overnight for business. Because I arrived so late, they left the key for me. Everything worked out perfectly. The room was very clean, and the breakfast was excellent. The owners/staff were very friendly. I would gladly stay again.
