When we arrived we were ignored for 3 minutes and didn't really know whether we were going to bring ourselves to the table or whether we would be picked up. The waitress came to the table and asked us what we would like to eat and drink (there was only a drinks menu at our table, the menu was not brought to us). Annoyed, she then gave us the menu... when we paid, my friend gave her tip and there wasn't even a thank you?! As a matter of principle, I simply didn't give any, even though I always tip! There was still no thank you and not even a “bye” or “goodbye”. The food was absolutely worth 5 stars, but because of the service we won't be coming back.

Breakfast was good, but the rolls would have tasted much better warm, so they were a bit tough. The waitress had probably forgotten that there was oat milk as a substitute, but the tea was good too. The ambience is generally good, but sometimes it seems a bit bland (real candles and real flowers just make it look better). Gluten-free rolls that were brought along were baked without any problems at no extra charge.

good cake, warm food like everywhere else (not bad, but nothing you'll remember), everything was really expensive, nice building, atmosphere rather "crowded" instead of as cozy as the place deserved, a slightly older one Waitress, who is always there, has not invented friendliness, sharing warm drinks is not allowed (e.g. coffee pot is not brought with second cups), coffee and cocoa usually from the machine, wasp invasion outside in summer, accessibility limited, entrance step-free only via the dirty back yard, elevator to the toilet on the 1st floor, after several visits this year I don't feel like it anymore, the cake is the only thing that is still competitive, but only without looking at the price.

We were served very friendly by a young man. The food was served to us with the words (by an older waitress): Eat quickly, otherwise it will be cold. It wasn't hot either......cake was very good. BUT: The toilet facility was terrible. Windows full of cobwebs and dirty, toilet lid so dirty (mold?). Doesn't work at all!!!!!!!

Disappointing experience! Unfriendly and even rude staff! I asked if the vol au vent was served with fries. When paying, an additional 5.5 euros was charged for the fries and 1.5 euros for bags of mayonnaise. Never experienced this before! When asked how this dish was normally served, I received no answer... Never had such a bad and expensive vol au vent before!

I just have to write about this visit. We were greeted with “here is occupied”, only the rain prevented us from leaving immediately. The waitress (a lady of advanced age) didn't know "Good morning, please or thank you" or had the worst day of the year. For me, that was rudeness personified. Otherwise the cafe is rather outdated, for example fresh paint on the walls would be necessary A suggestion for improvement. Now the breakfast, most of them had a standard price of 14.90 EUR, with coffee it was 20 EUR. For that you also got the usual sausage and cheese, a dollop of scrambled eggs, 1 leaf of salad Quarters of tomatoes, 2 pieces of butter for 3 rolls, a little cream cheese (natural), etc. After paying, on the way out, 3 women stood at the counter, said goodbye and thanked.....none of course. So I couldn't suppress criticism and expressed my opinion. My dialect probably revealed that I was a former Saxon, and my waitress told me that there aren't just nice people in Saxony. "Zur Steipe", I'll never come back, it was scary with you.

It was far too cold for a café, the comfort was missing. What was annoying about the Roibushtea was that the tea was only available with vanilla flavor. Not Everyone wants that.

We ate Vienna sausages with fries and a piece of Black Forest. The two sausages were completely tasteless and the fries tasted mushy, like mashed potatoes. In the past, the cakes were always of excellent quality because they came from the well-known Raab pastry shop. This time the piece of Black Forest tasted like cheap frozen food and was cut extremely thin for €4.90. We would have saved this stay better.

Everything perfect. Food great. Great service -> thumbs up.

It's a bad joke to sell baked rolls for the 16 euro breakfast! Absolute rip off! Caution!!!

The place to be! Above all, the varied lunch menu is exactly my thing. Recommended!

Enjoyed a delicious Weizen beer on the beautiful terrace where you have a beautiful view of the square. Beer is quite expensive and ordering and paying takes a long time, but the location and beer were great!

The service could be much better. There is little interest in us the customer, smiles or a nice conversation... or simply interaction does not occur. Our German may be a bit rusty, but we do our best. If you order a cheese sandwich and it is not served, you drink something that did not go well.... too bad. The older lady who took the order had an eye for everything except the guests. (We did not stay at the hotel). She said yes we did... but didn't follow through. The tomato soup was very tasty, and the street musicians and the sun created a nice atmosphere. Ps: Too bad there is smoking on all German terraces.

Super arrogant service, unfriendly, especially the older ladies who serve there, no smile and everything is too much, never experienced that!!!!! and this one has not only recently been there for the 4th time in 4 years and is still scandalously arrogant!!! 🤮

We had breakfast there with three people. The coffee was bad and only lukewarm. The rolls completely crumbled when I cut them open and had probably been baked too often. The ambience promises much more from the outside than the plastic garden chairs inside hold. There was no soap in the toilet and the toilet door wouldn't close. The water flusher button was hanging broken from the wall and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Overall very disappointing and not recommended.

We were first greeted very kindly and shown to the table. When choosing the cake, the service girl played on her cell phone instead of concentrating on the guest. The cake was ordered and when another waitress brought the cake including coffee with milk, a piece of cake was missing. This was immediately complained about, the lady replied.........without words. The worse thing is to come, the latte was cold. Next complaint and I was promptly treated as the perpetrator, taken behind the coffee machine and shown how the coffee was made. A monkey circus with the older lady, the end of the song the café au lait was hot until it was seated or until the cake was eaten. No apologies and nothing😤😤😤 we were here last time

There are only 2 stars for the ambience because the cafe could use a coat of paint on the inside. The furniture was worn out and broken. In the covered courtyard alone there are 6 chairs (ratan) with holes the size of a fist. The glass roof could also be cleaned again. If you can see that moss is already forming, the last cleaning was years ago. The walls at the entrance are full of flaws and unsightly. Does the managing director not see that??? The cake/tarts were excellent as always!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just had breakfast here with my wife. It's actually a shame to offer something like that. For example, the multigrain rolls are almost certainly from a discount store from the big bag of baked rolls and so on. The restaurant i is not recommended.

A very good restaurant. The WienerSchnitzel are very good, with the Mushroom sauce. A real treat. All accompanied by a good salad and French fries. I loved it. Also open on Easter Monday, we can only be happy about it.

Schnitzel and fries appear to be prepared in the same deep fryer. But the staff was friendly.

This is the third time we've been there and it's a really good plan for lunch.

My wife and I each ate a piece of flake cream here and drank a coffee crema, both were delicious, the service was friendly, the atmosphere could be improved

We've had breakfast here several times, but unfortunately the quality has seriously deteriorated. The rolls are particularly poor. Given the price you pay there, you can also ask for fresh rolls and not rolls that are from the previous day and have been baked again. The waitress tried to explain to us that the rolls were pre-baked and that you just have to bake the rolls. What a shame for such a café!

Go there again and again. And that has been the case since the beginning of the 90s.

Très bon plat du jour! Plusieurs salles pour les repas. Personnel très compétant et aimable.

Schade. Es war einmal ein sehr schönes und gutes Café. Jedoch ist alles ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Die Preise sind EXTREM gestiegen. Preis/Leistung ist nicht gegeben. Es müsste dringend renoviert werden. Toiletten sind ungepflegt & müffeln. Die Tische werden teilweise nicht abgeräumt und gesäubert.

Torten und Kuchen sind einfach perfekt.

Wunderschönes Ambiente im verglasten Innenhof und super zentral am Hauptmarkt.

Sehr unstrukturiertes Personal. Statt einmal zum abräumen ein Tablett zu holen, geht man lieber 3x, da muss man als Kunde halt warten. Dann noch 20 Minuten bis zur Bestellung warten lassen... Produkte waren aber gut

Ich habe hier schon mehrmals Kuchen gegessen und Mahlzeiten eingenommen. Imme hervorragende Qualität! Das Personal ist trotz des enormen Betriebes in dem Lokal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Hervorzuheben ist natürlich auch die sehr schöne, zentrale Lage des Lokals am Hauptmarkt.

Superbe restaurant très bien situé au coeur de la ville juste en face de la cathédrale Saint Pierre, endroit très chaleureux ou il est possible de venir a tout moment de la journée pour déguster une de leurs merveilleuses pâtisseries avec une boisson chaude, service et personnel au top, très agréable ! C’est l’endroit ou s'arrêter pour faire une petite pause pendant votre visite de la ville !

Das Frühstück war lecker, Die Bedienung war schnell und nett. Das Ambiente könnte sauberer sein. Der tote Vogel auf dem Glasdach war auch nicht besonders appetitlich.

Der Kuchen ist einfach hervorragend!!!! Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und es gab keine langen Wartezeiten - obwohl das Café und der Außenbereich samstags gut besucht waren.

Wir haben für 2 Personen ein Frühstück bestellt Das Personal war freundlich.. Der Belag der Brötchen war gut Die Brötchen waren nicht genießbar und sahen schon unappetitlich aus.Sie waren meiner Meinung nach alt und aufgetaut. Ein Frühstück steht und fällt mit einem frischen und knusprigen Brötchen.

Gezellige restaurant we werden netjes geholpen en bedient ook het eten was zeer lekker. alleen jammer dat we net een onweers bui kregen anders gingen we nog voor een heerlijke nagerecht. (hebben ze wel even netjes mee geholpen gauw de spullen naar binnen te brengen) voor alles uitbarste. Binnen hebben ze ook heerlijke lekkernijen staan. Ook kun je binnen een speelgoed museum bewonderen. Zeer zeker de moeite waard om hier te gaan eten.

Hier gibts tolle Auswahl an leckeren Kuchen,Torten oder auch warme kl Gerichte f.Zwischendurch.Kaffee,Tee und div Getränke machen den Aufenthalt im historischen Gebäude sehr angenehm.

Schönes Trier Café mit schöner Aussengastronomie Sehr leckerer Kuchen (vom Café Raab) & leckerer Cappuccino. Leider war der Service nicht so toll...nicht kundenorientiert und sehr nüchtern ...Schade

Eins der traditionellen Café-Restaurants am Hauptmarkt in Trier. Wünsche werden perfekt erfüllt, ich habe sehr gut gegessen, der Kaffee war großartig. Sehr empfehlenswert, für Frühstück, Mitragstisch, natürlich für eine der Torten aus dem Kuchenbüffet der Konditorei, oder Abendessen. Man kann auch eine Pause an einem heißen oder Regentag hier machen, Zeitung lesen. Wunderbar, in einem der bedeutenden historischen Gebäude in dieser ältesten Stadt Deutschlands.

Sehr leckere Torten. Der Service ist OK. Das System zur Tortenbestellung ist etwas umständlich. Torte auswählen, Zettel zur Bestätigung der Servicekraft geben, die die Getränke aufnimmt.

Accommodating for my stroller and 2 small kids. Food was pretty quick and my kid and I enjoyed it.

Wir haben dem Trubel auf dem Marktplatz zugeschaut. Der Eiskaffee ist ok. Der Expresso ungenießbar sauer.

Man sitzt sehr gemütlich draußen am Marktplatz. Die Bedienung war auf Zack und freundlich. Vorspeise und Hauptgang waren sehr lecker und man musste nicht lange darauf warten. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut okay. Es gab nichts zu beanstanden! Kommen gerne wieder.

Great breakfast, lots of choice, reasonable prices, attentive & friendly stuff. We had Norwegian (? not sure any more) breakfast, salmon and scrambled eggs with black bread. So, so, so delicious. We sit outside and not outside, because ceiling was glas covered, very convenient.

Die Lage ist toll. Leider ist im Cafe alles etwas lieblos gestaltet und die Servicekraft hat vergessen das Lächeln für die Kunden einzuschalten

Ist schon etwas her, dass wir dort waren - bin beim Zappen der Urlaubsbilder darüber gestolpert: für den Standort direkt an der Tourimeile Triers definitiv überdurchschnittlich. Schneller und freundlicher Service, leckere und frische Kleinigkeiten.
