Zur Schachtelbud in Oberwiesenthal

Wir waren nach unserer kleinen Wanderung am Fichtelberg hier essen gewesen. Das Ambiente ist schön, das Personal richtig, richtig freundlich und das Essen wirklich gut. Kann ich jedem nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Nichts Besonderes,die Hakxe die ich gewählt habe war mehrmals warm gemacht(hart und trocken)!Der Service war überfordert,er war komplett alleine,daher Service auch eher mäßig!

Gemütliches Restaurant netter Service. Sehr gut besucht Reservierung empfehlenswert. Leckere traditionelle Gerichte die Portionen könnten einen Tick größer sein.

Ein tolles richtig ruriges Restaurant mit Geschichte die man überall sicht und "studieren/lesen" kann. Toll eingerichtet auch Wert gelegt auf Tradition und die Region. Zum Bsp. tolle geschnitzte Serviettenhalter oder Pfeffer/Salzstreuer. Das Personal/Familie sehr nett, lustig. Der Service geht trotz voller Hütte schnell. Die Getränke gerade die hausgemachten echt lecker. Das Essen selbst richtig toll und sehr lecker.

Wir waren Ostern `26 mit 5 Personen zum Mittagessen. Kostenlose Parkplätze befinden sich direkt an der Seite. Der Zugang ist auch für Menschen mit Rollstuhl kein Problem. Unsere Bestellung wurde freundlich entgegen genommen und auch zügig serviert. Das Essen war prima angerichtet und super lecker, hier konnte niemand meckern. Die Toiletten waren aufgeräumt und sehr sauber. Die Gaststätte ist definitiv sehr zu empfehlen und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder hierher!

Wir waren in unserem 5tägigen Urlaub zweimal in dieser urigen Gaststube essen...wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient und das Essen war von Vorspeise über Hauptgericht bis hin zur Nachspeise sehr lecker...ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Ein Besuch ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Sehr uriges Lokal, passend zur Gegend. Wir waren von der Kinderfreundlichkeit sehr angetan, allgemein gab es am Service nichts auszusetzen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und hatte uns gesättigt.

Die beste Gaststube in Oberwiesenthal! Vorausgesetzt man bekommt in der Saison einen Platz. Immer vorreservieren! Das Essen ist sehr sehr lecker.

Alles war sehr lecker. Die Atmosphäre war gemütlich, einladend und warm. Der Service war sehr nett und entspannt. Wir haben uns dort wunderbar von der Kälte draußen aufgewärmt. Die Preise waren mehr als fair.

Wir waren auf der Suche nach einer guten Gastronomie. Als wir hier einkehrten, wurden wir freundlich empfangen und erhielten gleich eine Sitzerhöhung für unser kleinstes Kind. Alles war super, das Essen sehr lecker, vor allem der Burger des Hauses ist zu empfehlen. Zum Ende hin sprachen wir dann die Bedienung an, da wir trotz längerer Wartezeit nicht die Rechnung bestellen konnten. Insgesamt ein angenehmer Aufenthalt 👍🏼

Wir haben mittags in dem Restaurant einkehrt. Es war sehr ruhig und das Personal war sehr freundlich und nett. Wir bestellten Hähnchenschnitzel und Pommes frites, es hat uns gut geschmeckt.

Unglaublich freundlicher Service. Gute und große Auswahl an seeeeehr leckeren Gerichten. Wir waren zu sechst (vorher reserviert (empfehlenswert)) knapp eine Stunde in dem gemütlichen Ambiete und alle sehr zufrieden. Wie gesagt sehr freundlich, schnell und lecker :)

schon jahrelang einfach nur stabiler sehr guter Service verbunden mit leckerem Essen. Ein Urlaub in O-thal mit Besuch bei Herbergers darf einfach nicht fehlen.

Die Suppe nicht ganz warm serviert. Hänchenschnitzel fast rohr serviert, also zurück gegeben. Es wurde weiter gebraten, gleicher Schnitzel in Stücken dann serviert. Wir haben uns nicht getraut weiter zu bestellen. Schade. Wer ist da aktuell in der Küche?

Der Service war sehr gut. Das Essen hat uns auch gut geschmeckt. Das Ambiente ist erzgebirgisch uhrig.

Wie waren 4 Abende in Oberwiesenthal essen und DIESES Restaurant ist unser Favorit. Es war so gut, dass wir tatsächlich Vorspeise, Hauptgericht und Nachspeise hatten und dann rund wie ein Ball nach Hause ins Hotel rollen mussten. Der Kellner war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Der Koch und Chef war spitze. Kann man nicht anders sagen. Wir hatten den Camembert zur Vorspeise, die Sparerips (absolut empfehlenswert) und das Hähnchenbrustschnitzel auf Ananas-Curry mit Kroketten und zum Abschluss Apfelstrudel und dem Karamell Eisbecher. Alles war sehr gut. Die Panade vom Schnitzel war super. Die Sparerips auf dem Punkt. Perfekt zubereitet. Und wer auf Karamelleis steht der wird dieses cremige absolut leckere Eis (tschechische Sorte) lieben. Wir waren sehr sehr zufrieden. Danke!🙏

Wir kommen seit Jahren und genießen den Fisch, Haxe, Burger und das naturtrübe Bier. Die heiße Zitrone ist die beste die ich seit langen Winter hatte.

Sehr schöne Erzgebirge Gaststätte. Essen hausgemacht. Sehr lecker und nette Inhaber. Unbedingt Tisch bestellen sonst gibt's kein Platz. Kommen gerne wieder.

Eine sehr schönes Gasthaus mit super freundlichem Personal. Man konnte uns sogar noch ein Tisch freimachen, obwohl zunächst alles besetzt aussah. Wir waren an einem Donnerstagabend, gegen 19.30 Uhr, vor Ort. Daher ist sicherlich zu empfehlen an den Abendstunden einen Tisch zu reservieren. Essen hat sehr lecker geschmeckt und auch der Preis hat in Anbetracht der Qualität gestimmt. Ein schönes uriges Gasthaus. Ganz klare Empfehlung, wenn man mal im Erzgebirge einen Stopp macht und ein hungrigen Magen hat.

🏡 **Rustic Hospitality in the Ore Mountains** We were a group of four (three adults and one child) at Thomas Herberger's restaurant, "Zur Schafhtelbud." The atmosphere is rustic and authentically Ore Mountain style—simply perfect for relaxing! 😊 The service—handled by the owner himself—is quick, friendly, and always worthy of a smile. Special requests, such as changing side dishes, are happily accommodated at no extra charge. The entire atmosphere is welcoming, warm, and attentive. 🍽️ Our group enjoyed two appetizers, four main courses, a dessert each, a drink each, and a coffee—all for approximately €130. In my opinion, the value for money is excellent! 🫶 Highly recommended! A truly typical Ore Mountain restaurant. > 🚻 Restrooms: clean and well-maintained > ☕ Caramel Mocha: absolutely delicious > 🍄 Sour Sponge Appetizer: a delight > 🍖 Spare Ribs as a Main Course: tender and flavorful > 🍮 Crème Brûlée for Dessert: perfect Overall, the food was good to very good – salt and pepper are available at the table for those who need more seasoning. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We ate at this restaurant today and would like to share our mixed impressions. First of all: The food was truly excellent! The dishes were delicious. The service was also very friendly and attentive at first. Unfortunately, a later incident somewhat dampened the mood. Our children had briefly played with some toothpicks because dessert took a very long time, to which the waiter reacted rather inappropriately. He pointed out that they were "still needed" for other guests – in a way that unnecessarily spoiled the entire evening. With a total bill of €140, it shouldn't matter whether two or five toothpicks are used. As a mother, I'm happy when my children play quietly at the table, and I think that's worth an extra two or three toothpicks. It's a shame, because apart from that, our visit was really pleasant. With a little more tact from the waiter, it could have been a thoroughly enjoyable evening, and we would have left a larger tip. Unfortunately, this ruined my evening, hence the one-star deduction, although I would have preferred to give it only one star.

Friendly service, I was able to get a table even though I called at short notice, and the food was plentiful and delicious.

The food was generally very, very good. The rump steak was excellent. The only thing missing was a bit of bread with the pumpkin soup to round it off.

While on vacation in Oberwiesenthal, I was looking for a quaint restaurant for dinner. I called and got a last-minute reservation for four people. Very nice atmosphere—quaint, cozy, small, and exquisite. Reasonable value for money, top-notch burgers, spare ribs, and roulade—all delicious. The Colaweizen beer wasn't on the menu, but I got it anyway. The wait time was reasonable, service was friendly, and the restrooms and dining room were exceptionally clean. We spontaneously stopped there for a late lunch on a Friday. The waiter, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, although the pumpkin soup as a starter was unfortunately only lukewarm. Hence 4 points instead of 5. All in all, a lovely, rustic, authentic spot in O-thal.

We spent two days at the Zur Schachtelbud restaurant in Oberwiesenthal and were absolutely thrilled! The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, and we received a warm welcome, even with our dog, which isn't always the case. The food is hearty, fresh, and incredibly delicious. We tried several dishes: the burger, the spare ribs, the pumpkin soup, and the tarte flambée. Every single dish was a delight and highly recommended. We particularly liked the generous portions and the lovingly prepared presentation.

There were five of us eating here. My wife had the trout and I had the rump steak. My daughter had the children's rice pudding with sugar and cinnamon. My wife was very enthusiastic about the trout, and my rump steak was cooked to just the right medium and tasted excellent. My daughter was also very happy and ate the rice pudding completely. Even though we had to wait a bit for our orders, the service and the atmosphere were very friendly and cozy.

The Schachtelbud was recommended to us. We went to the beer garden, which is small but nice. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious. We'd happily go back.

We once ordered the ribs, which were very tender and well marinated. They tasted delicious. As were the accompanying potato wedges. Large portions and good value for money. We also had the spinach dumplings. Nice, warm, delicious dumplings (3 dumplings). They had a pleasant, delicious spinach flavor, and the sauce was good too! There's also a separate children's menu. 👍🏼 Our server was incredibly friendly, and the food was prepared quickly. We deducted one star for the ambiance. It was decorated "to match" the food, a typical German restaurant, which isn't a problem, but the furniture seemed quite dated. Personally, that didn't bother me at all. But hey, to each his own.

The food was really delicious and the portions were large. We paid a total of around €140 for 5 dishes and 5 drinks. The restrooms are worth mentioning: clean and with a pleasant smell. I didn't like the fact that ketchup and mayo were only available in small plastic sachets. Unfortunately, the service disappointed me. We waited about 50 minutes for our food, which I thought was a lot. When we politely asked for a change to our meal, we received a rude and unaccommodating response. What a shame!

The other dishes at our table were also lovingly prepared and very good. The service was always attentive and friendly. We returned to the hotel happy and full and would love to come back!

We're sitting in the box right now. The Camembert (starter) and roulade food was excellent. My wife had the very tasty burger and our little chicken nuggets and fries (apparently all homemade, no frozen). I tasted the fries and loved them. We will definitely come back on our next vacation.
