Hello Team Weissflog, we wanted to thank you again for the wonderful weekend. We spent a short hiking break there, and thanks to you, it was a highlight. The very personal attention to guests, the direct interaction with our needs by the service staff, and all the lovely little details – everything was just perfect. Thank you!

A fantastic hotel! We were here a year ago, but didn't stay overnight. We only checked out the location, as we were planning to use the beautifully situated Jens Weissflog Hotel for our honeymoon, coinciding with my 60th birthday and our silver wedding anniversary. And I have to honestly say that it was an excellent decision. The hotel is in a superb location and perfect for hiking. It's not too far to the Fichtelberg mountain. Perhaps a swimming pool would be the only thing missing to complete the relaxing experience. Otherwise, everything was top-notch. The staff at reception and in the restaurant are also very nice and friendly. The breakfast and the selection in the restaurant are ample and varied. Overall, our expectations were met. The motto "relax, unwind, rejuvenate" truly applies here. You can really let your mind wander and leave the stress of everyday life behind. The Aronia Autumn Festival was a fantastic highlight. Superbly organized, and there was something for everyone. Jens Weissflog was and is always present. Great! The prices are average, but justified for a 5-star hotel. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Anyone vacationing in Oberwiesenthal should definitely visit the hotel and see for themselves. We can only say we'd love to come back again and again. We highly recommend this hotel. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making our vacation unforgettable. Keep up the great work!

We've been regular guests here for years and always enjoy returning to the Hotel Jens Weissflog. The rooms, restaurant, and spa area are all top-notch. The staff are all friendly and always helpful. The hotel is situated amidst nature, and various hiking trails start right from the hotel.

Our stay at the hotel was absolutely perfect! Everything was perfect 👌🏻 The service was exceptional, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The meticulous attention to detail is evident. Plus, you can see the trophies and awards of the owner, a former ski jumper, which is a unique and interesting attraction. The perfect place to relax - I wholeheartedly recommend it! ❤️

In 2024, I was very fortunate to meet Mr. Weißflog, the patron of the Marathon Go in Bad Windsheim. Thanks again for the photo for our club (Tanja, the second chairwoman, is on the left, me on the right) ❤️ There were flyers for the hotel available at the hotel. I took one and planned a stay for 2025. In mid-October, we finally arrived. The weather was mixed, but no matter. My husband enjoyed cycling in the surrounding area. We had a great room. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. Thanks again for the wonderful explanation of how to make sweet potato fettuccine. 😉 Breakfast was very varied, and dinner was delicious every day. A wonderfully peaceful area. We'll definitely come back at a different time of year to enjoy nature even more actively. 🥰

It was another great start to our hiking weekend. We always feel at home, the food is delicious, and the sauna area is highly recommended.

Great food and great service! The dishes were freshly prepared, delicious, and beautifully presented. The staff was friendly, attentive, and courteous. We felt completely at home and would gladly return.

It was a wonderful 5 days. From the reception to the service, from the room to the wellness facilities, from the entire team to the kitchen – everything was first-class.

This place is worth seeing for those who are interested in ski jumping and its actors.

A truly wonderful hotel in a quiet location. The service staff were extremely friendly and even joked around. Even though it was relatively busy, they managed to get us a table. The cakes and tarts were all fresh and incredibly delicious. There was also a beautiful room where you could see all the awards Jens had received throughout his career. You could also admire many photos with other celebrities and athletes.

We were on a short family vacation in Oberwiesenthal. Unfortunately, we didn't stay at this hotel, which I regret very much in retrospect. But a visit is definitely planned. We were completely overwhelmed by the display of trophies Mr. Weißflog has won during his career, not to mention the state awards. Just seeing all of this is worth a visit. We took the opportunity to have a bite to eat in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly, quick, and even enjoyed a little joke, creating a great atmosphere. We've definitely booked again at the next opportunity.

Since we only visited the restaurant, I can't comment on the rooms, etc. The restaurant was very cozy, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. The ambiance was very nice. An exhibition about Jens Weißflog has found a good home in the hotel...with all his competitions, trophies, and little stories about them...highly recommended.

We were there for afternoon coffee. Even though the restaurant was very busy, the service was still quick and the cake was delicious. Even Jens joined in and served the guests. Hats off to him.

Great hotel with superb rooms, comfortable beds, peace and quiet, and proximity to the forest and the Fichtelberg mountain. Breakfast is very good and plentiful. There should be something for everyone. The saunas and relaxation room are also inviting places to unwind. We'd love to come back.

The friendly atmosphere, service and gastronomy of the Erzgebirge region are worth mentioning.

Was able to spend the night at base camp.

We booked for two nights (a weekend) to hike. The location is perfect, with hiking trails starting from the hotel and direct access to the Fichtelberg mountain. Free parking is available on-site, and the room is easily accessible from the parking lot. Our room was extremely spacious, approximately 37 square meters, with a balcony overlooking the valley. All rooms are named after Jens Weissflog's competition venues and are decorated accordingly. The amenities leave nothing to be desired: plenty of space, a very modern bathroom with a separate toilet, and a large shower. The location is very quiet, with no traffic and absolute silence at night. It's about a 30-minute walk into town, but that wasn't important for us. The restaurant/breakfast room has a panoramic view in two directions. The breakfast is good with a sufficient selection, including many regional products. Attentive staff with their hearts in the right place, and the atmosphere is pleasant and not pretentious. Down-to-earth, we liked it. The price/performance ratio is okay. The room rates are a bit higher than usual, but understandable given what's on offer. We didn't use the wellness area, but it was visually very appealing. Like other guests, we skipped room cleaning for a two-night stay. Suggestion: This could be a way to show appreciation to guests, for example, by offering free drinks (we've seen this at other hotels). It also saves resources and effort. Our conclusion: A former top athlete has realized his dream here, and the hotel stands out pleasantly from other mass accommodations. We will definitely come back again.

A fantastic hotel in a wonderful location. The wonderful opportunity for small talk with all the staff was also great. The display of probably all the trophies, medals, gifts 😉 and much more from the hotel owner's sporting career was also impressive. It's nice that he lets his guests share in this time.

I booked this hotel for my husband's 60th birthday. We stayed there for a week. What can I say? I've never seen such a great hotel anywhere. All the staff are very friendly and fulfill every wish. Mr. Weißflog takes time for his guests, and a chat is always included. I also thought it was wonderful that he and his wife came to our table and congratulated my husband personally. We'll definitely be back.

We spent one night here on our motorcycle vacation. The rooms are nice and spacious. The bathrooms are modern, but the hair from the previous guest didn't belong on the floor. The restaurant has delicious food and the service is super friendly. Great location in the countryside

I've known Jens Weissflog since his ski jumping career. Unfortunately, I haven't seen him in person, but I'll stay here longer someday.

We were thrilled with the restaurant! The view from the terrace is truly magnificent, and the food was very good! The service was attentive and friendly—we felt very comfortable! Bottom line: We definitely recommend this place and would love to come back!

We went here for lunch. The staff from the neighboring country were friendly and attentive. I had a solyanka as a starter, which was good. The main course, Mattjes, not so much. A small, soggy rösti and two small, narrow strips of Mattjes. Garnished with a bit of lettuce and carrot strips, a splash of remoulade, and that was it for 18 euros. The location is nice with a view. The balconies overlook the inner courtyard, overlooking the restaurant, and vice versa; idyllic is something else entirely.

A truly special hotel with a lot of heart and personality! We received a very friendly and accommodating welcome at the reception upon check-in. The rooms are modern and extremely well-maintained, furnished with loving details. A particularly practical feature: a sauna bag with a bathrobe and matching slippers was already waiting for us for our visit to the wellness area. What particularly impressed us was the hotel's unique concept: Throughout the hotel, you'll find photos, trophies, and little anecdotes from Jens Weissflog's life – this gives the hotel a personal and authentic atmosphere. Each room is dedicated to one of Jens Weissflog's competition years, which we, as sports enthusiasts, really appreciated. The sauna and relaxation area is a real highlight: super cozy, tastefully designed, and ideal for relaxation. We were also well looked after in terms of food – both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious and varied. We felt completely at home and will definitely be back!

We were only there briefly. The whole thing seemed a bit strained and fake to us. We couldn't shake the feeling that the owner's name and his not insignificant successes were the focus here. This is probably essential for marketing purposes. The hotel itself, however, is impressive, as are the prices. However, it wasn't suitable for us. A shout-out to our ski jump hero. 👍

The service was very friendly and the ambiance was okay, but the food was not good value for money. It was more like a child's portion or appetizer and had nothing to do with an adult meal at this price. We've been here several times and were unfortunately very disappointed this time.

For a short vacation we stayed at the Hotel Jens Weißflog in the beautiful Ore Mountains. Just outside Oberwiesenthal, it still offers good access to the hiking trail network and the cable car to the Fichtelberg. The hotel is tastefully furnished with attention to detail. The furnishings in the rooms leave nothing to be desired. The spa and sauna area is wonderful. The hotel's own restaurant offers food and drinks of a high standard and at an absolutely justified price-performance ratio. The service is in no way inferior to the class of the hotel. If you don't meet the friendly host in person, you can breathe in the spirit of Jens Weißflog in the trophy collection, which contains one or two detailed information. All in all, a precise landing without compromising on posture and technique.

You should visit now. We were just had a drink there and by chance we also saw Jens Weißflog. Unfortunately I didn't get an autograph. Otherwise everything was defective. A nice hotel with a great location.

A wonderful experience – this hotel is simply great! The rooms are beautifully furnished, so that relaxation begins right there. We really enjoyed the sauna concept and the associated lounge! Such small family-run hotels are real gems - we will definitely come back. The high-quality products at breakfast should be mentioned: the meat and sausage products come from regional butchers. For a 4-star hotel, we would have liked a few special things early on, such as: EggBenedikt or a larger selection of cakes, crepes or pancakes, i.e. a small à la carte menu with freshly prepared dishes. Homemade Bircher muesli or porridge were also missing from the selection.

We were particularly impressed by the hotel's wonderful, feel-good ambiance – it was the ideal place for creative conversations and relaxed networking. Every moment at this hotel was a pleasure. The restaurant was closed in the middle of the season. We came especially from the Czech Republic. There was no notice on the homepage. The hotel and restaurant are located extremely outside of Oberwiesenthal.

It was a hiking destination. That's why I can't rate the rooms. Very nice location of the hotel, an impressive exhibition of prizes and trophies from Jens Weißflog.

Warm hosts, a great team in all areas, a beautiful, personally and very stylishly run house. Every detail in the magical suites has been considered and makes your vacation an all-round feel-good time. It's like coming home. As soon as we can plan free time, we will try again to get a room in this dream hotel. We stayed at the AP Hotel Jens Weißflog again. And not without reason. The hotel is in an idyllic location, right on the edge of the forest and at the foot of the Fichtelberg. Our room had a great view over the valley to the Czech side. The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. In the style of the most successful ski jumper of all time. There are great memorabilia of the host throughout the hotel and they take me back to the days of his sporting successes. The food in the restaurant is very good, very tasty and the menu changes daily. The wellness area is very attractive and invites you to relax. The staff throughout the hotel are very friendly, very helpful and will assist you with any questions you may have. There is a games room for younger guests, which we used extensively on several occasions. We feel really comfortable here and would love to come back. Thank you to the host and the entire very friendly team.

Unfortunately our stay in the suite was disappointing as the standard we expected from a 4 star hotel was not met in several areas. First of all, the unpleasant toilet smell in the room was immediately noticeable and affected the entire room climate. Not only was this unpleasant, but it also contributed to an overall unsatisfactory atmosphere. The furnishings also left a lot to be desired. There was no comfortable seating such as chairs or armchairs in the living area, which made the room seem empty and uninviting. Instead, there was just a small table with no other furniture in this area. The TV was surprisingly small and didn't fit in with the rest of the room. We were also hoping for a relaxing break in front of the TV, but the small screen size and inadequate seating made this nearly impossible. In addition, the tiles in the bathroom were partially chipped, which gave the room a worn and poorly maintained impression. Overall, the suite seemed rather old-fashioned and clearly showed signs of wear. Unfortunately, for the price and the expectations associated with a 4-star hotel, this stay was a disappointment. We were expecting a more luxurious and sophisticated experience. The suite did not deliver on the promise of a comfortable stay, which left us very disappointed.

We have already been to many hotels, but this one will remain unforgettable for us. There was nothing here to criticize. From the hotel, the ambience, the rooms, the breakfast, the dinner and above all the friendly and accommodating The staff (at the reception, the waitress, the cleaning staff, etc.) really did everything right here. And what I also have to rate as very positive is that there is a personality here as a hotel owner who doesn't hide from his guests! He could certainly be seen at breakfast or in the evening in his restaurant when time permitted and anyone who liked it could also exchange a few words with him. So, we will definitely come back because it was very nice. Highly recommended. THANKS

A beautiful hotel, very tasty food, very nice sauna area with a wonderful lounge. Quiet on Located on the edge of the forest with a wonderful view. Room facilities are top notch, among other things. with coffee and minibar. Large shower with storage space, which I usually miss. We will come again and enjoy. To top it all off, there are courteous hosts who are on site and take personal care of you.

We needed a break and found it in Jens Weißflog's hotel, even though we were only there for 2 nights. What was impressive for me personally was the family atmosphere!!! I come from Zwickau in Saxony, have lived in Bavaria for many years and immediately felt at home in the JW Hotel. A big thank you goes to ALL employees!!! The rooms are comfortably furnished, very clean, just feel good! The hotel is located just outside the village, with a beautiful view, perfect for relaxing. We had perfect winter weather with cold temperatures and enough snow. The hotel is the ideal starting point for hikes or if you strap your cross-country skis under your feet. Back from the cold temperatures, a relaxation lounge awaited us, as relaxing as a huge living room and off to the sauna. It couldn't be more perfect! We'll definitely be back. Our second stay in this really great hotel once again left nothing to be desired! Regardless of the service, service and quality of the rooms and the house, everything is convincing! Even though the weather wasn't so good at times, we didn't miss anything! So we can only recommend the hotel! A hotel with heart and absolute feeling of well-being. I unexpectedly passed this hotel a few years ago. The desire to relax there for a few days was there immediately. It took time, but I fulfilled it and spent the last 3 days in this unique hotel with my wife and child. A stunning service from the valuable staff for breakfast and dinner. Eating with great pleasure. The taste is simply wonderful. The atmosphere, the cleanliness, everything in this hotel is worth more than 4*. We only went to have coffee in the restaurant but it was very nice. Afterwards we viewed the trophies and met Mr Weißflog personally

Während unseres Spaziergangs in Oberwiesenthal wollten wir zu einer Tasse Kaffee ins Restaurant des Hotels einkehren. Gegen 13.30 war es sehr voll, doch es gab noch freie Tische. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste am Warte - Schild. Die Servicekraft fragte uns, etwas genervt, ob wir reserviert hätten, was wir natürlich verneinten. „ Da hätte sie keinen Tisch für uns“, drehte sich um und ließ uns einfach stehen. Wir verließen das Restaurant und hatten die Idee, einfach mal anzurufen, um einen Tisch zu reservieren. Die Antwort am Telefon war: „ Reservieren machen wir nicht. Im Moment ist eine lange Schlange, kommen sie einfach spontan vorbei.“ Wir kamen uns ganz schön veralbert vor. Wir sind dann weiter-gezogen und der Kaffee hat gut bei unseren tschechischen Nachbarn geschmeckt.

A hotelier and restaurateur who certainly doesn't rest on his laurels or the sporting successes associated with it. The hotel stands out from the competition in Oberwiesenthal. Location is phenomenal. The rooms and the restaurant are of high quality and thoughtfully furnished… The menu has a great concept that is intended to evoke the sporting past. The quality of the dishes is exceptional and very tasty. Particularly noteworthy is the exceptional friendliness of the staff. Despite the guest room being fully booked, they had everything under control and radiated such a pleasant calm that this was also passed on to the guests... our afternoon was simply wonderful here. Would like to give 6 *****!
