Naturbaude Eschenhof in Oberwiesenthal

Wir waren hier zum Mittag spontan essen und saßen auf der Dachterrasse. Es war alles sehr lecker und die Bedienung sehr freundlich! Empfehlen wir gern weiter. Ebenso schön für Familien: ein Spielplatz nebenan (Ritterburg mit Rutsche).

Kann nur den Hofladen bewerten. Hier gibt es noch echtes Handwerk, große Vielfalt in der Auswahl und super gut gelaunte Mitarbeiter. Ein Bratwurstseminar ist ein absolutes Highlight. Es sind reichlich Parkplätze direkt vorm Haus verfügbar.

Wir mögens abends kalt, so als Brotzeit-, Jausen- oder ähnlich platte. Wird leider nicht so oft geboten. Im Eschenhof VOM ALLERFEINSTEN!!! Dazu ein Service, der an "Mutti" erinnert. Danke!

Das Ambiente hat einen gewissen Charme, aber leider sind die Mitarbeiter der Baude absolut unflexibel, sowohl beim Essen, als auch bei den Zimmern. Die Preise sind recht unangemessen. Die Essensmenge entspricht nicht der Relation zur Menge und die Auswahl ist sehr gering. Das Frühstück wird einem unter der Nase weggezogen, nur weil es 9:30 ist. Leider sehr enttäuschend. Die Damen des Hauses waren sehr freundlich.

Wir haben die Eschenbaude für eine Klassenfahrt genutzt. Bis auf ein Billardzimmer, für das man bei einer Nutzung etwas bezahlen muss, gibt es keine Angebote, die Kinder und Jugendliche nutzen könnten. Ein Fußballplatz ist in der Nähe und war eine Freizeitmöglichkeit. Das Essen hat den Kindern aller zwei Tage geschmeckt, Obst oder Salat wurden sehr überschaubar aufgetischt. Brötchen zum Frühstück wurden aus dem Tiefkühlfach geholt und ausgebacken... Das Wurstangebot bot eine tolle Auswahl, für Menschen, die sich vegan ernähren, gab es eher nix. Die Zimmer und Sanitäranlagen waren sauber, jedoch baulich deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Heißes Wasser zum Duschen war mit etwas Glück zu bekommen... Fazit: für Gruppen nach unserer Einschätzung nicht zu empfehlen, für einen Wanderstopp ist es landschaftlich schön gelegen, was die Kritikpunkte etwas schmâlert, jedoch nicht vergessen macht.

Wir waren zum Abendessen spontan hier. Eine kleine Karte aber solide deutsche Küche und hausgemachte Wurstwaren und Schnaps. Aufjedenfall zu empfehlen

Trotz Weihnachtfeiertag und keiner Tischbestellung haben wir 9Personen einen Platz zum Mittagessen bekommen. Sehr gute deutsche Küche und tolle Bewirtung

Einfaches, sauberes Haus. Innenbereich erinnert etwas an DDR Nostalgie - war auch mal schön, Erinnerungen kamen hoch. Leider im Winter mit Wintersportgepäck bei Anreise mit der Bahn fußläufig nur sehr schwer erreichbar. Haben die selbsterzeugten Produkte, die auf der Homepage beworben werden, etwas vermisst. Wer denkt, es werden Steaks und Schnitzel serviert, wird enttäuscht. Wurst zum Frühstück aus dem Supermarkt. Gehacktes und Rouladen? waren wohl vom eigenen Rind. Im Großen und Ganzen haben wir uns wohl gefühlt. Hätte man die Erzeugnisse nicht so angepriesen, hätten wir auch einen Stern mehr gegeben.

Die Zimmer kann ich nicht bewerten, wir waren zu Gast im Restaurant. Hatten köstliche Suppe und Jausenplatte. Und es konnten auch noch Produkte vom Hofladen erworben werde. Dazu kommt sehr schneller freundlicher Service

Sehr geehrtes Team des Eschenhofs, sehr geehrte Frau Gropp, unser erster Aufenthalt bei Ihnen mit einer Gruppe über mehrere Tage zum Silvesterfest war ein durch und durch positives Erlebnis, das in jeder Hinsicht überzeugt hat. Bereits die herzliche und außerordentlich freundliche Art des gesamten Personals, von der Bedienung bis hin zu allen Mitarbeitern, hat uns von Anfang an willkommen geheißen. Dieser herzliche Service war durchgängig spürbar. Ein absolutes Highlight war die Küche! Das Essen war durchweg spitze und von hoher Qualität. Das Silvesterbüffet verdient besondere Erwähnung – es war einfach fantastisch und könnte ohne Weiteres in einem 5-Sterne-Hotel mithalten. Ein riesiges Kompliment und herzlicher Dank an den Koch und das Küchenteam! Ein besonderer Dank gilt auch Ihnen, Frau Gropp, für die hervorragende Organisation und die stets aufmerksame Betreuung. Fazit: Beim Eschenhof macht man definitiv nichts falsch! Alles ist wärmstens zu empfehlen. Wir fühlten uns rundum wohl, bestens verpflegt und hervorragend betreut. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können einen Aufenthalt bei Ihnen ohne Vorbehalte weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank für diese schönen Tage und einen gelungenen Jahresstart! Ich muss leider auch mal was negatives schreiben. Wir waren vor ein paar Tagen nur zum Essen im Eschenhof. Wir gehen dort gelegentlich seit vielen Jahren hin. Aber so unfreundlich wie dieses mal wurden wir noch nicht bedient. Wir haben zu den Gerichten freundliche Fragen gestellt, die Bedienung hat nur schnippig geantwortet. Als wir am Schluss sie noch darauf hingewiesen haben daß auf der Webseite komplett andere Preise stehen als in der Karte auf dem Tisch, hat sie nur noch frech geantwortet. Sorry aber das ist veräppeln an den Gast.

Haus mit Geschichte. Nach dem Krieg von den SED Bonzen gekapert. Walter Ulbrich und Co… Super Rinderrouladen… die Einheimischen zischen hier auch nur ein Bier und kaufen Wurst, die im Kühlschrank neben der Bar lagert.

Die Baude steht kurz vor Renovierungs-arbeiten, die Heizung u. Warmwasser waren an 2 Tagen defekt. Kein Duschen möglich, oder erst ab 10.30 Uhr oder warten bis abends dann "sei die Heizung wieder repariert " Verständnis oder Kommunikation von der Leitung Fehlanzeige. Das war erste u. wahrscheinlich auch das letzte mal, traurig weil die Lage in Oberwiesenthal direkt am Waldrand u. den Wanderwegen gelegen ist sehr schön.....

Very tasty food and nice ambience

We spent five days at the Naturbaude on a school trip. The value for money is pretty unbeatable: clean, bright rooms in a beautiful house right on the edge of the forest above a secluded meadow slope – pure nature, and exactly what we were hoping for. The owners were very accommodating with all our questions and problems, even taking care of the organizational work involved in communicating with local service providers. They even accommodated small special requests as best they could. In short: We had a really great time here.

If you want something to eat half an hour before the hot food closes, you won't be treated very nicely. The service was unfriendly and pushed you past closing time, and there were no thanks or goodbyes. The food was quite good.

We stayed at the Eschenhof Nature Lodge for our school trip. Unfortunately, we noticed some issues in the rooms, such as cobwebs, dirty mattresses, and trash from the previous occupant. The buffet food we received was very simple but adequate. The Nature Lodge is located quite remote from the city center and looks very rustic from the outside, but it offers a beautiful view of fields, meadows, and forests.

We dined here with a larger tour group. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious! The farm shop is also highly recommended!

We parked our RV at the tennis court and came here for dinner. We almost couldn't find the entrance... but ended up in a very cozy restaurant. Great service, very friendly. I had the burger, which was super delicious, fresh, and tasted great. Thank you.

Located on the ascent or descent of the Fichtelberg, the Eschenhof offers very good food with regional character. The service is quick and friendly. You shouldn't be fooled by the nature of the construction site. In this respect, it was good that the Fichtelbergbaude was overcrowded. Tasty beer and a very good coffee rounded off the stop.

We had coffee here today and had a nice ice cream sundae. Everything was great, service was very friendly and accommodating.

Unfortunately, our experience was not pleasant. The food was warmed up, the cheese was cold and the meat was raw.

The food there was terrible, terrible, 🤮🤢 the worst burger I've ever tasted... The burger was at least 3-4 days old and had been heated in the microwave. The meat was rotten, the cheese was hard, and tomato sauce from canned food had been poured into the burger... I left the place with a really terrible experience and almost wanted to throw up... 👎 P.S. I ordered lemonade and got orange juice :)))

Although I was only here for dinner, I still had an afternoon here with friends. Group of 20 without reservation no problem. Children's card available And of course the food was great and you didn't have to wait long (20 minutes) Clear recommendation 🙏👍

We went to the Naturbaude for winter sports and are still absolutely thrilled! The staff is very friendly, accommodating, and always up for a chat. Every morning, we arrived to a fully laid breakfast table with everything we needed. Our room was clean and comfortable. The accommodation is within walking distance of two ski lifts, which is, of course, very convenient.

For years, we've been coming, with larger or smaller groups of friends, for a winter weekend to the idyllically situated Eschenhof Nature Lodge, which was beautifully snow-covered last weekend. It's like coming home; we feel so comfortable in the cozy rooms, on the breakfast veranda with its expansive view of Oberwiesenthal, and in the rustic guest room. The entire team spreads a cheerful mood, and every year we feel welcome and well-cared for. And every year there's something new to discover: this time, the farm shop. Tasty things made their way home in our bags and taste delicious when we get home. We're already looking forward to our next trip to the Fichtelberg. Heike

We spent two nights here and felt very comfortable. The staff was super friendly. The breakfast was great and the dinner was delicious. We had a very clean room with a beautiful view. Thanks to the hosts and the staff! 😃

Everything was great at the Christmas party

I can't give any information about the rooms because I was only in the house for coffee. Service was friendly, the coffee was good and the strudel too, gladly again.

Unfortunately, the restaurant has continued to decline. Service was unfriendly, we waited to be seated, the seavice staff walked past without a greeting and then we were treated very quickly. The restaurant used to be really great, but unfortunately the food has deteriorated over the years and the service is now perceived as unfriendly.

Today we had lunch at the Eschenhof. The friendly staff and the very tasty food was creative and freshly prepared. We enjoyed it excellently. Thank you very much for that. It should also be mentioned that the price-performance ratio is absolutely appropriate.

Thanks to the entire team for the great family weekend, the price/performance ratio of the guesthouse was perfectly fine, the food in the restaurant was great, and our group of 9 people really liked the entire atmosphere in the house. Greetings to Oberwiesenthal and good luck

We had dinner in the restaurant. The food tasted very tasty, but the selection was very limited. The staff was very friendly and it is also possible to visit with a dog.

If you like nature...the location is very good for hiking

We only stayed there overnight! We knew that the toilet and shower were in the hallway. Various hygiene items meant liquid soap for the toilet sink. The room facilities were very poor (but clean!) A socket crackled when we tried to use it, so we were afraid of starting a fire. For anyone who loves rustic, just the thing. There is a common room with a television (these are missing in the room) which is also a matter of taste. Unfortunately there is no shelf in the shower for a toiletry bag and wardrobe. It was enough to sleep

Went to dinner the day ago and were thrilled with the delicious food, despite the few guests that evening.

Stopped in during a hike. Ordered a cappuccino and freshly baked blueberry cake. Cake was still warm and very tasty. Large sun terrace with a view of the forest.

Clearly a family hotel The house has a beautiful history, in whose tradition it continues. Definitely suitable for families and groups. The food is also good but it's off the beaten track and there's not much going on in the evenings.

We came here spontaneously after a tobogganing trip to Esser. Very good food. Top prepared. The meat is predominantly from our own production/breeding. Despite our large group (10 people), the food was served almost at the same time. Outstanding taste. We'll be back ;-)

Excellent choice. Visited with extended family. Rooms with various numbers of beds and bunk-beds are ideal for a family vacation. Toilets and showers are shared, but are modern and well appointed. The food is as good as it gets in Oberwiesenthal. Our breakfast was included and was plentiful, albeit on a limited schedule. It worked well for us. Lunch / Dinner are very good, with reasonably priced and well prepared German dishes. Within walking distance of ski facilities and town center. Many trails and walking tours are within reach. Will definitely come back with our family.

Ein geschichtsträchtiger Ort als ehemaliges Gästehaus von Walter Ulbricht. Nicht überzogen sondern eher dezent wird auf die Vergangenheit des Gebäude hingewiesen. Gemütliches Restaurant mit geschmackvollem Ambiente, aufmerksames und sehr freundliches Servicepersonal. Fazit ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Gemütlich erzgebirgisch und die Hausmannskost hat wirklich geschmeckt wie bei Muttern!!! Über leise erzgebirgische Musik hätten wir uns auch noch sehr gefreut. Vielleicht beim nächsten Mal. Wir kommen wieder. Auf jeden Fall geht ein Lob an die Küche und ans freundliche Personal raus. Es war eine schöne Einkehr. 😊

Nach unserem enttäuschtem Mittagessen, haben wir um 15 Uhr problemlos noch einen Imbiss bekommen und konnten sogar aus 4 Gerichten wählen.

Eins ist eine sehr gute Gaststube. Das Personal ist super nett sehr zuvorkommend sehr freundlich. Das Essen war spitzenmässig und so lecker Dekoration perfekt. Und geschmacklich sehr gut. Das Bier ist auch sehr gut wer in der Nähe ist es lohnt sich auf jeden fall sehr empfehlenswert

Wir sind hier spontan zum Mittagessen vorbei gekommen und waren zu früh da, aber kein Problem.(Küche macht erst um 12 offen) Getränke habe wir aber um 11 30 Uhr sofort bekommen und konnte die Wartezeit super überbrücken.
