We visited the restaurant. Super friendly service with humor and charm in a very rustic and cozy atmosphere. Whether it's herring salad, fish soup or schnitzel - here we cook it with love and you can taste it too. Absolute recommendation.

Get a great table in the restaurant with an online reservation and without specifying your wishes. Service and implementation of various extra requests were completely satisfactory. The quality of the food and the portion size are very good. We have reserved again in a few days. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Absolutely recommended restaurant. Very friendly and attentive staff. The schnitzel and fried potatoes are really great! The homemade lemonade was absolutely delicious. So if you want to have a delicious meal in Glowe, you definitely have to stop here.

Went to the restaurant with six adults and four children and feasted our way through the menu, from tomato soup, lasagne, schnitzel, fish and chicken to crème brûlée and red jelly. Really great, nice and courteous staff! Great, rustic, cozy atmosphere! The tomato soup lacked a bit of kick, as did the baked sea bream and the cauliflower. Unfortunately, the lasagna wasn't convincing either... But the rest was really great! Schnitzel nice and thin, tender with great taste. Super delicious fried potatoes! The homemade tartar sauce is a dream! The chicken with the curry sauce is great and the desserts melt away :-) Thank you very much, we would love to come back!!

The two of us had dinner there before and it tasted really delicious. There was the schnitzel with Letscho and the vegetarian linguine, with a small salad and finally a crème brûlée. Everything is incredibly tasty and really great for the price! That wasn't the last visit there.

The five of us came to the inn for the umpteenth time and, as always, we were greeted by very friendly staff. The food was again excellent and you can get a decent meal here for relatively little money. We would be happy to come back and definitely recommend it to friends and acquaintances.

From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff. The service was first class throughout and the team always went the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable. The cuisine at the Gasthaus zur Schaabe is simply outstanding. Every dish we tried was a culinary masterpiece. The dishes were not only excellent in terms of taste, but also visually pleasing. The use of fresh, local ingredients and the creativity of the kitchen team could be felt in every bite. I would particularly like to highlight the ambience of the inn. It's cozy and inviting, just the right place to spend a relaxing evening. You can immediately tell that a lot of attention is paid to details in order to offer guests a pleasant atmosphere. All in all, I can only warmly recommend the Gasthaus zur Schaabe. Everything is just right here: great staff, great service and a mega kitchen! I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

This review refers only to the inn We ate very well here. The fried potatoes, the herring, the schnitzel, there was nothing to complain about. The homemade remoulade sauce was also very good. On requests such as: a smaller portion was received. Service: a waiter who loves his job.

Cozy room with a small fridge, table with chairs and couch, TV and private bathroom with walk-in shower. Room cleaning every day, towels changed at your own discretion. A good breakfast offer every day (included in the price) and parking space (3€/day). Staff very friendly and helpful. I had reserved a table for dinner (right from home) every day. Good decision because the restaurant is very well attended. The food is very tasty and freshly prepared. There is a children's menu. The fish soup is highly recommended. You can get to the beach in 3 minutes. We felt very comfortable.

We were there spontaneously last Sunday, June 23rd, around 7:00 p.m. Lots of empty tables and without a reservation it's difficult to get seats even for two people, at least that's what the older gentleman did. The younger, male waitress offered us a table more quickly. However, this was checked again in detail on the computer on site beforehand. The food is solid and fair value for money. Unfortunately, we locals in the tourist region know this all too well. We had schnitzel with Letscho and Grützwurst. Subjectively, the food was a bit too salty for us (steak fries and grützwurst - therefore only 4 out of 5 stars). The younger gentleman easily responded to special requests. We were extremely satisfied with his appearance and performance.

Booked a room spontaneously while passing through and there's nothing to complain about, the room even has a small fridge, which you often miss. The in-house restaurant is great, solidly furnished, nice staff and everything from the starter to the dessert is delicious and perfect. There is nothing more to expect.

We went here again for dinner after more than six years. And when we come back to Glowe, we will stop here again. The food is very good. There were five of us. We had fish soup as a starter (4x), and as main courses: fried cod with fried potatoes, then schnitzel with cauliflower and fries, herring fillets with salad and fried potatoes and once for a child, fries with nuggets. Everything was super delicious! And the whole thing is also affordable in terms of price!.... Respect and greetings to the kitchen... PS: The staff was very good by the way, they served all the dishes completely for everyone as we ordered them and very quickly, including extra ketchup for the little one!!!

I've eaten here several times now and have never been disappointed. Service and cuisine virtually perfect. I come from the catering industry myself and personally have nothing to complain about except perhaps the guests who are looking for a fly in the ointment etc. If you book a room here, are you also entitled to a table without a reservation?! I guess not, some people really think they are the center of the earth. Everyone screams for perfect service, quick, good food and if you make a mistake (which is human) you'll have hell on earth and that's exactly one reason why gastronomy is slowly dying!! Maybe some people shouldn't look at everything so doggedly and overlook the little things, otherwise we'll only be able to cook and eat at home in the future. To the team, you are great! And thank you for a perfect schnitzel with Letscho☺️

My wife and I were in Glowe last weekend and had dinner twice at the Gasthaus Zur Schaabe. Why twice? Because the food on the first night was so delicious! The schnitzels are large, not too thick, well seasoned and juicy. The fried potatoes were also excellent and, which we liked very much, were fried nice and crispy without being burnt. The atmosphere is very inviting and the staff is attentive and very friendly. A big thank you again to Dania, who served us very attentively and refreshingly on both evenings. We don't live that far away from Glowe and will definitely stop by the Schaabe every now and then to enjoy it. Thanks. Since we didn't stay in the Schaabe, I unfortunately can't give any stars for the room category.

Urige Gaststätte mit sehr netten Service. Wir hatten saisonbedingt beide ein Essen aus der Spargelkarte. Der Spargel war perfekt und die Driilingskartoffeln passten wunderbar. Das Rumpsteak war auf den Punkt gebraten und der Schinken des anderen Gerichtes formidabel. Lecker Pils dazu, was will man mehr. Gerne wieder !

Mein Mann und ich waren jetzt 2 mal kurz hintereinander in der Schaabe zum Abendessen. Beide Male war das Essen sehr lecker. Beim zweiten Besuch jetzt über Pfingsten, war es recht voll im Restaurant . Doch trotz alle dem war das Essen klasse und es hat nicht übermäßig lange gedauert. Wir werden auf jeden Fall des öfteren dort essen gehen.

Absolutely recommendable inn with guesthouse! During my two week stay I was able to get a very good picture. Food excellent! Sufficiently large portions and very tasty! Das Restaurant kann man nur empfehlen. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und die Küche einzigartig. Auf der Karte findet man deutsche Küche die geschmacklich außergewöhnlich gut ist. Ein Besuch lohnt sich.

What can you say? Atmospheric atmosphere 👍 The food is average and a bit overpriced. The schnitzel could have been a little smaller but I would have liked more flavor.

We ate there 3 times during our vacation and had nothing!! Reservations always had a free choice of seats. The portions were generous and even sea dogs would be satisfied. We enjoyed everything very much and the service was friendly and quick.

Very nice, rustic restaurant, the food and service is very good. It's just a shame that you can't go out to eat spontaneously. In order to get a table, you have to reserve well in advance... and that's out of season. I can't rate the rooms in the guesthouse, so only 1 star (deserves more than that) because we only had food.

Restaurant rating only: At first we had concerns about the old-fashioned pub atmosphere and because we seemed to be the only guests at 5:30 p.m. But by 7 p.m. the restaurant filled up quickly and the food was just amazing!

We stayed there for 3 days in February last year and booked 3 rooms there with our family. Unfortunately, as house guests we didn't get a table reserved, we were barked at when we had a drink after work, the rooms were big enough, unfortunately there wasn't a tiny fridge, the beds were really "out of the ordinary", the bed linen was disgusting, I was happy to be able to leave again, like that You shouldn't do it if you want the guests to come back!

Home cooking. Tasty and large portions. The children had schnitzel with fries. The schnitzels were huge - but were eaten completely. The rolled roast filled with apples and prunes with boiled potatoes and red cabbage was also very tasty. We just had to wait quite a long time. Otherwise nice, recommended restaurant.

We were in the restaurant as a group on March 23, 2024. The food and price were good. Big portion. The restaurant is quaint, cozy. So far everything is wonderful. If it hadn't been for that one waiter who wanted to exercise his “authority” from the start. Starting with the reprimand where we had to sit down with the dog, then reprimand when we asked to move a table so that we could talk to each other better. Then at the end we were rudely interrupted from our conversation and asked to leave the restaurant because the tables were still allocated. When we made the reservation we were not told that we only had 2 hours. Then we all had to line up at the cash register, in the narrowest part of the restaurant, to pay the bill. Here too you had to put up with the commanding tone. The good gentleman then had his problems with criticism. Finally, there was an accusation that one of us had not paid the bill. This was then clarified after an hour of discussion. The apology came with a BUT. It's clear to us that we won't be returning there again. It's a shame that one waiter alone can ruin an entire evening. PS we are all from Rügen, so we could have continued to be guests.

The restaurant was a disaster!!! We had reserved several tables and arrived on time. Unfortunately, when we arrived, all the tables were still occupied and there were a number of people standing in the restaurant waiting. After waiting at the counter or in front of the door for a good 20 minutes, you could probably scare the other guests out (which we noticed from the reactions of the guests who were leaving - in front of the door - they are talking to each other). But good, now our tables were prepared and we were finally allowed to sit down. When we ordered the drinks, the waiter showed us how annoyed he was. Just changing the water from small to large was too much for him - and complained to us - which is definitely not something you should do with paying guests. Then at some point the cards came and we could choose the food. We did that and then nothing happened for a very, very long time. After waiting for a good 3/4 hour, we asked where our drinks were. Then the waiter came and wanted to check again whether he had the correct receipt... because he had apparently lost the order. Which he then found again by magic. And yes, it was the right gift for our table. Accordingly, the drinks took another further waiting time. Which led to further discontent among our children and also us. At some point the drinks finally came, but no apology from the waiter - nothing. Anything can happen - the thing with the receipt, but if you're too smart to take responsibility for your own mistakes... you shouldn't do the job for the customer!!! But the evening gets even better! We had to wait well over an hour for the food to arrive! In addition, a meal was forgotten, which then gave the person another good 15 minutes of waiting time.. and again nothing came.. no apology.. nothing!!! We were extremely disappointed with the waiter and of course confronted him. But he blamed it all on the kitchen - they were to blame. The kicker was that the “nice” waiter said to us, “I wanted to give you 2-3 beers for free,” “but not anymore”! Because we complained, there was virtually no “apology” from the house!! Understood! At some point he wanted to make it up to him with shabby Ramazottis, which a) not everyone drinks, b) we had children with us and c) some of them had to drive, so Ramazotti doesn't necessarily fit in perfectly either. We didn't want a Ramazotti, just a “normal” human apology! And if the Restaurant zur Schaabe was halfway customer-friendly, then they should have given us at least a 10% discount. But nothing came! Nothing at all. On the subject of hygiene and cleanliness in the restaurant. The waiter dropped one of his Ramazottis next to our table. He quickly picked up the large pieces of glass by hand, but wiped or swept - nothing. Just the brief note from him “we should be careful when we walk”. If you have small children who sometimes crawl on the floor, this is absolutely dangerous - simply leaving the broken glass lying around. We were so looking forward to a lovely evening, but it was a complete flop!!! So the trick of the house is now clear to us, all tables are occupied to the maximum... overoccupied - despite reservations! And then hospitality is right at the bottom of the Gaststätte zur Schaabe’s agenda! So we can recommend this restaurant 0.0%. Smooth grade 6!
