We had a wonderful murder mystery dinner with excellent food and truly fantastic entertainment. The service was also top-notch, as always. Highly recommended. The food and service are outstanding not only on such special evenings, but also on "normal" days. For us, a visit to the Schaabe is an essential part of a wonderful vacation.

Whether it's the guesthouse or the inn, I can recommend it all. The guesthouse is absolutely clean. The inn is super delicious. Great home-cooked food and friendly staff. The restaurant is located right on the main street, which makes it easy to find, but perhaps a bit noisy in summer? We were there for dinner and had reserved a table digitally. The service was very attentive, friendly and quick without seeming hectic. The tables were not placed too close to the neighboring table. We had various cod dishes, along with a small salad that was big enough for us to share. Everything tasted very good and was appetizingly prepared. We would love to come back again.

Restaurant visit! We're true repeat customers at the "Zur Schaabe" restaurant in Glowe. Everything in the restaurant is just perfect. The ambiance might not be for everyone, but it fits the overall picture. The staff are truly attentive and always very friendly. Even when all the tables were full, they even made a seat for us right at the bar. The teamwork is perfect. Now for the best part: the food is always a delight. We've never had anything to complain about. The food is fresh, delicious, and tastes wonderful. A visit to the restaurant here is always a must when we're on Rügen. We went for dinner, from the friendly service to the high quality, delicious food, we were completely satisfied. We would be happy to come back and can give a clear recommendation.

Our personal experience here in February 2025: The room was pretty run-down. We were able to change rooms upon request, but even that had serious flaws: broken blinds, beds falling apart, very thin summer duvets in winter, no extra blankets available, and the room was unheated upon arrival, with outside temperatures around zero degrees. The breakfast buffet can't compare to any of our visits to other guesthouses with the same quality of amenities. The service staff stand around bored at the counter or in the kitchen instead of tidying up the buffet, let alone restocking it. Those who sleep in a little longer and arrive late for breakfast are left with nothing but the leftovers from the previous guests. They don't even ask if everything is okay or if they need anything else. Furthermore, we experienced a lot of construction noise at breakfast, as renovations were underway. We ordered fish for dinner, which, instead of being fried, seemed to have been quickly fried in old frying oil. The only positive aspects for us were that there was plenty of parking and the seafront location made the inn attractive. Our conclusion: zero stars for quality, service, and price. That's just not right here. Too bad, we won't be coming back.

Were only in the restaurant, not in the guesthouse. Very tasty meals that fill you up well. I had the rolled roast, my wife had a schnitzel, we can only recommend it. It wasn't our first time in the Schaabe and it won't be the last time either.

We were just guests in the restaurant. The food was very tasty and the portions were very generous. The soups as a starter would have been enough as a main course. The service was extremely friendly even though she was busy as the restaurant was full to capacity. We'll definitely be back.

I can only rate the inn. The ambience inside is pleasantly rustic, the service was friendly and attentive without seeming or even being intrusive. I would describe the food as good, simple German cuisine. Even as a raw meat vegetarian, I noticed that there were even vegetarian dishes on the menu. This is not something that can be taken for granted even today. All in all, simply recommended.

We ate at the “Zur Schaabe” restaurant several times. Very nice staff, always in a good mood. The cook in the inn has golden hands; everything is very tasty. The portions are more than sufficient and, as I said, very tasty 😋

We stopped spontaneously on the way to the hotel. We immediately got a table with a dog. The menu is not very large: fish, schnitzels, salads and a few meat dishes. The quality and speed was good. The staff was very nice.

Das Restaurant Schaabe ist eine gutbürgerliche Gaststätte. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und hat trotz des gut gefüllten Restaurants immer ein Ohr und ein Wort für seine Gäste übrig. Der Koch versteht sein Handwerk perfekt, und die Preise sind ebenfalls im guten Bereich. Man sollte allerdings besser vorbestellen, denn es gibt, wie gesagt, gute Küche.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Das Restaurant war gut besucht, das Ambiente gemütlich, die Speisen hervorragend und der Service sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend.

We went there for dinner and were not disappointed. We had rump steak and fish. Both were perfectly fried and the side dishes were also very tasty and the plates were beautifully presented. Large portions. The waitresses were also very nice and accommodating. Nice rustic atmosphere. We felt very comfortable.

We booked online. We received a very friendly welcome on site. We were served quickly and the delicious food didn't take long to arrive. It was simply wonderful, we found a new favorite restaurant on Rügen. We'll definitely be back.

Ate delicious fish (baked cod) and schnitzel. Very good service. Sea buckthorn spritz was also great. However, asking for €1 to add some water was rather embarrassing and spoiled the overall picture somewhat.

We were on that Way to our accommodation looking for a restaurant. We have already been turned away twice at other locations. We then found a place in the Schaabe and were absolutely thrilled. Friendly, tasty and recommended.

Top service, whether in front of or behind the counter. But you should book a table in advance, otherwise you'll sit right at the counter and drink one coastal mist after the other. But don't worry, it tastes good😉

Wir waren in der Gegend und wollten am 1. Weihnachtsfest ein gemütliches Mittagessen in der Familie. Das Essen war sehr gut, leider mussten wir ca. 1 Stunde auf das Essen warten, gut, es war sehr voll, und unser Wunsch bei der Reservierung, gern einen Tisch am Fenster zu bekommen, wurde auch nicht erfüllt. Trotzdem kann man die Gaststätte empfehlen, die Küche ist sehr gut und das Personal sehe freundlich.

We went there to eat and were moderately at peace. The tomato soup tasted more like pasta sauce and the main course wasn't great either. You couldn't decide on the furnishings, on the one hand it was part of a tavern and in the middle there was always American knick-knacks. The service was quite good.

We don't know the hotel or room. We only tested the restaurant. The friendly and attentive welcome was immediately noticeable. The food wasn't great but it was tasty. Starter salad was great! Fast and timely process. Location conveys a cozy and warm atmosphere.

Good rooms at a reasonable rate. Breakfast was sufficient, good quality, only the coffee was more suitable for pensioners 😉. The dinner was very tasty and the portions were large enough. All in all, we were very satisfied.

We wanted to have dinner in the restaurant with four people and our dog. We were there the day before and said that it was important to us to get a table on the edge for the dog's sake and we got one reserved. Today when we arrived at the restaurant on time, everything looked different. Our promised table was occupied. When we asked, we were told it would take a few minutes. No problem... so we went for another little walk. When we arrived again after another 20 minutes, our table was still occupied by the same guests who continued to order diligently. All we got was the information... something must have gone wrong and we can put it in the middle. This is what it looks like when you no longer seem to need it. We won't be coming back again. It's a shame actually.

During our short vacation we were guests at the Gasthaus Zur Schaabe. The menu had something for every taste and the food was very tasty. The service was very friendly and in a good mood. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the generous portions and the atmosphere seems inviting to us. However, a reservation is recommended as the restaurant is very busy, especially during the main meals. We will definitely come back on our next vacation.

Very good cuisine and service on point

We were on vacation here for a week. The room was functional. I am lactose intolerant and gluten intolerant. The inn is not prepared for this. I had my own breakfast (rolls, spread) with me, at the end of the trip I was charged for the full breakfast, which I didn't think was right.

We went to the restaurant for dinner in the afternoon, so there weren't many people at the time. The staff were very friendly, the food was delicious and a good portion. Our dog was allowed into the restaurant and we could park right in front of the door.

Only 1☆ for the location as the restaurant is right on the main street.

We stayed from October 9th to October 12th as I was a wheelchair user and my wife was very enthusiastic about this accommodation and we have booked for next year in August. Beach not even 100 meters away, very friendly staff and the breakfast was also very tasty, we are looking forward to it next year again with kind regards Manu and Jörg

We ate here on vacation. Everything was very tasty. Even the fries, which I never really like. Gladly again.

We had dinner there and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. We had two different schnitzel dishes and once the seasonal offer braised cabbage. The braised cabbage was more like a children's/senior citizen portion. According to the menu, the pork schnitzel was supposed to come with steakhouse fries, but they were more like wavy cut fries. The pork schnitzels came out of the deep fryer. More of a really good fast food restaurant. The waiter who served us was friendly at first, but became increasingly unfriendly towards the end. The only good thing about this inn was the decor, which was very nice.
