We booked a table for the evening, and everything worked out. Friendly service and good food. Yes, we would eat there again.

We also had a less than pleasant experience at dinner on our last day before our return home. The waiter smelled of stale smoke and alcohol. And if that wasn't enough, the fried potatoes and fish weren't burnt (as many previous reviewers had said), but rather undercooked. The crew has changed; two years ago, we were thrilled with the staff and the cuisine.

A truly fantastic experience – the service was excellent, very friendly, and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious; you immediately sense the chef's skill and passion. A wonderful atmosphere that you'll gladly return to again. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone – simply perfect!

Overall, you can have a quick, good meal here... The service is friendly... but when a customer comes in and you roll your eyes, it doesn't seem inviting, but they've made an effort nonetheless. When a large salad with just lamb's lettuce, raw vegetables, a few strips of chicken breast, and four slices of tomato costs 18.90, I think that's pretty expensive. Even in these times, that's a ridiculous price, even if it was delicious.

We booked breakfast there, and even though we weren't hotel guests, we were warmly welcomed. It was a small breakfast buffet, but it was perfectly adequate ☺️. We were asked every day what kind of eggs we wanted. They were so beautifully presented, we've never had anything like it before. Dinner was also simply delicious. Thanks to the entire Leuchtfeuer team, you are simply fantastic. We felt very comfortable with you. See you next time.

What an experience! We actually only ended up there because nothing else was open, and then this happened. Top-notch service, top-notch food. Highly recommended. Try the chocolate cake, it's amazing, and the solyanka is a feast. The main courses are also amazing!

It was delicious. When asked if I enjoyed it, I just pointed at my plate. Licking it would have been fine, but that would have been against the etiquette rules. Very attentive and unprompted: the dog got a completely clean drinking bowl, not one that 44 other dogs had already slobbered into. I'd love to come back next year.

We wanted to round off our wonderful vacation with something to eat before we headed home. We stopped at the Leuchtfeuer restaurant. The decor looked like it had been stuck in the 90s. The server was friendly and attentive. We ordered the cod in almond breading with vegetables and duchess potatoes, and herring with fried potatoes. The fried potatoes were barely recognizable and completely burnt. The duchess potatoes were dripping with fat, and the vegetables were from the finest canned food. All in all, it seemed as if the chef had just taken a lunch break and the assistant had heated up the food. We were then charged €80 for this. We definitely won't be back. If you cook better and healthier food at home than in a restaurant, there's no need to go out to eat.

The food is very good and tastes delicious, and there's plenty of it. The service was very friendly and attentive. We had a dog with us, and the bowl of water came without a word. The only small drawback is that the seating area is outside, by the road. Since it's harvest time, the tractor often thunders past. Otherwise, there was nothing to complain about; we'd be happy to come back next year. Highly recommended.

The staff is super friendly, and we had a pleasant chat with both service members. Curiously, it wasn't until later, when rereading the reviews, that I noticed this difference in behavior between hotel guests and "just" restaurant guests. The ambiance takes some getting used to. You shouldn't expect a "restaurant feel." It has more of a village pub or sports club feel. That may sound negative, but it's not meant that way at all – sometimes you get the most honest and best home-style food in these "pubs"! It's solid, but there are definitely better, more charming restaurants. Unfortunately, we were really unlucky with the food today. We went to Leuchtfeuer because of the good reviews. 1. The Captain Bluebear plate is standard frozen fish fingers with deep-fried fries, Heinz ketchup, and mayo. For comparison: At Daheim in Lohme, the freshly breaded fish fillet also came with thick fries, but with a fresh salad. - at the same price, mind you! 2. The plaice fillets were good, but nothing exceptional. The potato wedges, on the other hand, tasted like old frying oil. The tartar sauce was very tasty. 3. The cod in almond breading was also okay, but nothing special; on the other hand, the duchess potatoes were dripping with fat. The "seasonal vegetables" were again a few fresh carrots. I could live with all of this, if the prices had been around €12-15 per adult portion. However, the cod cost around €25 and the plaice fillets around €23. An extra tube of ketchup/mayo (good old Heinz, of course) costs €0.80, a small bowl of tartar sauce will set you back a whopping €3.00, and if you want the much-praised fried potatoes instead of the dripping duchess potatoes, you'll also have to pay €2.50 extra – the kitchen has to work considerably harder (as explained on the menu!). Conclusion after a disappointing evening: I can only make a direct comparison with "Daheim" in Lohme. Despite the extra starter, we only paid €4 more there, the portions were larger, and the dishes were always a bit cheaper. In terms of quality, the two restaurants are worlds apart. So my recommendation: Drive the 10 minutes to Lohme and wait 20 minutes for a seat at "Daheim."

I ordered herring. The fried potatoes weren't salted or seasoned, the herring sauce just tasted like mayonnaise, with no acidity...the pike-perch wasn't tasty either. The male server was very nice...I can't recommend it...the coffee was delicious...

Nice restaurant with large servings. The food was good but nothing really special. There was a little over an hour wait for food which wasn’t great. I don’t feel the need to return but I also wouldn’t dissuade anyone from eating here.

We can only look back with gratitude on a truly wonderful week. The welcome, the entire ambiance, everything was wonderful. The breakfast deserves an extra star, as does the dinner. We can only hope that as many guests as possible can enjoy such amenities. We will definitely be back. THANK YOU!!!

Super delicious food and friendly service. The only downside is actually the horrible smell from the kitchen. We sat upstairs the first evening. As soon as we entered the restaurant, it almost took away our appetite. Afterwards, we had to wash all our clothes and hair. Very unpleasant. But the food was so good that we returned the next day. Here, we were lucky and were seated downstairs. The smell was bearable there. Just today, I read the other reviews and saw that many people before me have raised this issue. I wonder why the owners ignore it🤔? Surely closing the kitchen door would help?!

The food was excellent, but the previous reviews confirmed that hotel guests are given priority. We weren't asked if we enjoyed the meal or if we wanted anything else. The hotel guests had a lively conversation, and the service was very attentive. Nevertheless, I must emphasize again that the food is very good. Fresh, delicious, warm, and prepared with love. The salads are also very tasty.

My aunt and I were there on April 21st. For dinner. The first impression was nice and rustic and we were warmly welcomed. Our food was very tasty, both the starter and the main course. My aunt made a request about her food, which was probably not passed on to the cook, so she objected to it, after a short time it was wonderful, but unfortunately the waitress treated us differently afterwards and we were given a rather stupid answer... like, for example, I wanted the rest of my food to be packed and she replied, "Oh, that too, yes?" super loud and inappropriate in any case! If she doesn't feel like doing her job, she should look for something else. In addition, after this visit you are forced to change if you want to go somewhere else because everything, really everything smelled like sizzling fat on you.

The food (fish) was excellently prepared. The service (probably the boss) is super friendly and you sit really well - very comfortable chairs and benches at a perfect height to the table. We also liked the opening hours and you always get hot food! (from 12). Because it was so good I don't want to deduct a star, but even if there are only 4 guests at an "untimely" time, I find music on the radio impossible. I don't want to listen to the news while I'm eating and I certainly don't want to have to endure Kaufland advertising. Then it's better to have no background music or no radio. That would be my big request and my wish for optimization. I'm sure it's different in the evening or when there are more guests, but next time I visit I'll take the liberty of asking before I order anything. Otherwise: definitely keep it up!

The food was quite good, the service was also quite nice and the ambience in the restaurant was actually visually pleasant and cozy... if only the gigantic smell from the kitchen and all the exhaust gases didn't flow unchecked into the dining room... Professional kitchen ventilation was obviously not available... It's a shame, that really spoiled the stay and all the clothes smelled massively

We stopped there spontaneously, the portions were really huge and the taste was really good. Schnitzel was freshly made (you can hear it in the dining room). There are toys for the children, which we really value because it shortens the waiting time (which wasn't long) for the kids. Service was super nice and knows her craft. All in all it would be 10 stars if the restaurant got 10 stars from us. Price performance is simply top. Ambience great.

Rather not ... The prices on Rügen are often above what you would expect and this restaurant fits perfectly into this category. The food wasn't bad, but not really good either. With prices for a meal between €20 and €25, there should be fewer ready meals that are put together to make a meal. The fat in the deep fryer should have been changed some time ago and I don't know which recipe calls for throwing zucchini (not cucumber!) and red cabbage into a salad... but it's a very unfortunate combination. The service was friendly, but given the prices there are much better alternatives.

Two weeks ago I ordered a trout (fried) with mixed vegetables and croquettes from the daily menu. The food was very tasty, the portion was great (I was hungry after a hike on the Schaabe). Attentive and quick service. If the restaurant wasn't 50 km away from my home, I would go there more often!

We, 6 people from Hamburg, visited the Störtebeker Festival in Ralswieck on Rügen in June and found it very good. On Friday evening we visited the Leuchtfeuer restaurant in Glowe and were not disappointed in any way. The food was super tasty and very nicely prepared. Our service was really nice and friendly and had everything under control. And the rooms are clean and modern. The price/performance/ratio is right here. We will visit Rügen again in 2025 and a detour to the Leuchtfeuer restaurant is a given. Oh well, best wishes to your “Hildegard”, she served us!!!

We ate here last week. The service was very friendly and we got our food quickly. My omelette farmer's breakfast was beautifully prepared, exactly how I like it and also very plentiful. My husband had a Hamburger Schnitzel and was also very satisfied. It wasn't the first time we ate here and certainly not the last time. We can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience.

Salad without dressing and with ready-made products, vegetable peel definitely frozen, mushroom cream sauce with canned mushrooms, fries etc also rather convenience, schnitzel a bit tough. Overall, the food was mediocre at best. The waitress only saw the bill after the food was brought. You can do it. But not for just under €80 for three people (1 dish, 1 drink each)

Very tasty and inexpensive food, the service is nice and you wait a reasonable long time for your food. The fried potatoes with my Hamburger Schnitzel were very, very good, almost like they were from home and the schnitzel was also a reasonable size. The only detraction is the ambience, which isn't quite as elegant, but that doesn't actually devalue the whole thing. Just great!

Given the prices you might expect fresh food, unfortunately we were served convenience food and salads that tasted like plastic buckets.

We now visit the beacon once every year. Always equivalent service, equivalent quality However, we go to Rügen outside of the season. Many thanks to the team.
