Restaurant Fischerhus in Glowe

Wir kommen schon seit Jahren in unserem Urlaub immer gerne ins Fischerhus und sind jedes mal wieder positiv überrascht wie gut es hier schmeckt. Die Gerichte sind sehr schön angerichtet, den Beilagensalat möchte man wirklich essen, es gibt eine Kinderkarte, frisches Essen und Portionen von denen man satt wird, Preise absolut angemessen. Sehr gemütlich, urig, authentisch. Da lohnt sich auch der Weg wenn man keine Unterkunft in Glowe hat.

Immer wieder einen Besuch wert. Super Gerichte und nette Bedienung. Waren vor 3 Jahren schon hier, unverändert gut! Hunde sind ebenfalls kein Problem

Das Fischerhus auf Rügen ist wunderschön, ruhig gelegen und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles war sauber und top ausgestattet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gern wieder! 🙂

Unfortunately, we were very rudely turned away, despite plenty of free seats! Reservations are essential! However, we ended up eating super quickly, super friendly, and super deliciously at "Zum Fisch."

But it's a good restaurant with excellent food and friendly service. Advance reservations are recommended!

I popped into the shop at short notice with two small children around 5 p.m., was immediately greeted warmly, and given a table. The food was delicious and very quick, and the quaint atmosphere was fantastic. Great, keep it that way.

No. I can't recommend this place. Opening hours are until 9 p.m. We were sent away before 7 p.m., even though there was plenty of space inside and outside. The kitchen was supposed to have closed. What kind of business sense is that? What kind of hospitality is that? 😒

We enjoyed being guests at Fischerhus for many years, but we will avoid it in the future. The menu and food have been significantly reduced. Prices have increased. That wouldn't have been a problem, but the quality has also declined significantly. Fish was overcooked, fried potatoes were warm but not crispy, and the side dishes were soggy... What a shame ☹️

I highly recommend the Rügen fish pan. Prepared with love, it looks great and tastes exceptionally good. Friendly service in a pleasant atmosphere and delicious food.

Unfortunately, the restaurant isn't reachable by phone. We tried to reserve a table six times between 12:00 and 1:15 p.m. and waited for more than ten rings. Unfortunately, no one answered the phone...

A very pleasant surprise. Beautiful setting, friendly service, and excellent fish. The fried anchovies and red berry crumble delighted our taste buds. I can't wait to try their thirty-year-old specialty, "Fischpfanne der Renner."

It's clear to me that we won't be coming back. Fried potatoes black from below. Fish fried dead. I think fried potatoes with vegetables don't have enough vegetables for the price Savoy cabbage no longer had any bite and the sea buckthorn sauce was missing sea buckthorn

Update 5 years later: At the beginning of May there were no free places to eat here. We were not told Doris as kindly as she was five years ago. It's a shame because we had very positive memories of it. But there were also different service staff than back then. Then we went to the Schaabe where they simply created a place for us. Because of the unfriendly service, I had to change my rating at the time. Today we only had dessert because we had just stopped off somewhere else, but tomorrow we'll really test the Fischerhus. The dessert was super delicious. The decor is absolutely great and the service is very friendly. There are no cocktails, but that wasn't a problem, something was quickly mixed and that was okay. We are looking forward to our next visit.

We followed the good rating on Google and visited the restaurant with 4 adults and a teenager on Friday lunchtime. Overall we were happy with our visit. We ordered three fish pans, all of which were fresh and delicious, as well as two rump steaks. When we ordered the steaks, we asked for them medium rare, but unfortunately both steaks were well done, which was a bit disappointing. Despite our advice to the waitress, there was unfortunately no response or apology. Despite these minor criticisms, we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was pleasant. We would generally visit the restaurant again, but hope that next time more attention will be paid to your wishes in the preparation.

You can sit well here and it's quite comfortable. Unfortunately, the prices for food and especially drink are way over the top. You can find almost nothing for less than 23 euros, except starters. Unfortunately, this is common practice these days, especially in holiday areas and excursion areas. Yes, there is almost exclusively fish here and fish is expensive, but raising the prices by several (!) euros within a year for the same offering is unjustified. But that's my personal opinion... It's a shame because it was one of my favorite restaurants in Glowe.

We have eaten at Fischerhus several times and have always been very satisfied. Unfortunately, things were different this year: the service is still great and the rustic decor is cozy. However, the portion size was significantly reduced and the price increased. An example: Fish platter with 4 pieces of fish previously €26, now 3 pieces of fish for €28. Until now there were always chips made from potatoes, now they are conventional chips that you can get everywhere. At 7 p.m. only 2 of the 5 desserts were still there and the ice cream bee, a highlight for our children, was completely canceled. We hope that next year it will be more like we know it. In any case, this reduction in quality cannot be due to a lack of guests!

Wir waren leider sehr enttäuscht. Wir hatten die Fischerhus-Pfanne, beworben als Empfehlung seit 30 Jahren für 28,- €. Das Essen kam sehr schnell und war nicht dem Preis entsprechend. Der Fisch war zu lange in der Pfanne und die Rosmarinkartoffeln wahrscheinlich nur aufgewärmt. Die Karte wurde gerade geändert und die Preise erhöht, leider nicht der Qualität angemessen. Keine Empfehlung. Unsere Bewertung bei Google Maps ließ der Inhaber leider durch einen Anwalt wegen "Verleumdung" löschen. Schade, eine Entschuldigung wäre eher angebracht gewesen.

We got the last available table, so reservations are recommended. The seating is rustic and very comfortable, and the service is fast and friendly. The food is delicious, and you get plenty for your money. The Fischerhus is highly recommended without reservation.

What madness. Warming plate for the plates. Super delicious food! A perfect service! An all around lovely delicious experience! Ps. Be sure to reserve a table in advance.

The food was lukewarm. The fried potatoes were not crispy. There was an egg coating on the redfish. The loaded menu did not correspond to the actual menu on site. Redfish in egg coating €17, on site €21.80. The waiter was a bit grumpy.

We ate there on vacation. On the third attempt it finally worked. On the first visit it was closed due to illness, on the second visit we arrived shortly after the kitchen closed (7 p.m.), but we reserved a table straight away for the following day. We weren't disappointed! The food was great, the atmosphere was very good and the service was friendly.

Very nice atmosphere and rustic. The food was very good. The restaurant is highly recommended. The service is very friendly. Finally, we had a sea buckthorn liqueur that comes from a fine distillery in the region. We visited this distillery the day after.

Extremely delicious. The portions are just right. The sea buckthorn liqueur is particularly recommended. And as far as parking is concerned: from 6 p.m. the parking lot is free of charge

This restaurant is truly the best restaurant here in Glowe. I ate here with my family today and I have to say everything was great, from the food to the service. The price-performance ratio is top. We always like to come back and will do so. Many thanks to the kitchen and the nice service that evening.

Good food and the cucumber salad is awesome, I was really disappointed when the bowl was empty. The service is attentive and the chef knows how to do it, great.

Sweet, maritime atmosphere. The food was very very tasty! We can absolutely recommend it! There is also a nice little card for the kids. Really great.

This restaurant is very comfortably furnished. The ambience fits perfectly with the Baltic Sea, sea, coast and Rügen. The furnishings are made of dark wood. Many decorations such as steering wheels and models of sailing ships round off the atmosphere perfectly. The staff is very friendly and takes great care of the guests' well-being. The food is very tasty and the prices are fair. Parking is available in a public lot for a small fee. I can warmly and unreservedly recommend this nice restaurant.

We have been eating at Fischerhus on and off for several years and were very impressed with both the service and the food. The day before yesterday, on December 30th, 2024, my husband and I wanted to stop by spontaneously. There was a note at the entrance that said "No kitchen between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.." That wasn't a problem for us. At 3:53 p.m. we entered the restaurant and said that we didn't have a reservation but would like to eat something (after the kitchen break of course). The gentleman at the counter said that wasn't possible because we didn't make a reservation. This is usually not a problem for us because we never expect a yes answer to any of our questions. At 4:45 p.m. we drove past the restaurant and found that almost no table in the restaurant was occupied. It's a shame, but for this reason the Fischerhus is no longer an issue for us.

We had personally reserved a table for two people the day before. A rustic restaurant welcomed us. The service was quick and very friendly. Our dish, redfish fillet in an egg shell, was really tasty. Overall we felt very comfortable. The price was totally fine. We can compare it well because we really like eating fish in fish restaurants. Really recommended.

The atmosphere is, as the name suggests, a fisherman's house, so it's clearly cozy!

Really nice cozy atmosphere with indirect light and corner benches. The Nordic decor fits perfectly. The restaurant is in great shape, everything is clean and dust-free. The service is super friendly and attentive. Have fun with it too :-) I can totally recommend the food. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted great. Herbs and sea buckthorn complement many dishes. Praise and greetings to the chef. There are a large number of paid parking spaces behind the house. Only the pop music wasn't that suitable.

We came yesterday without a reservation. We only drove to Glowe after 7 p.m. to avoid the main business. It took us a week to find such a great seafood restaurant. It was simply great, from the ambience to the menu. Very rustic furnishings with old fishing accessories and harmonious decoration. Despite the lack of employees, we are still committed and fast. The order was taken very quickly. The food arrived quickly and everything was absolutely to our satisfaction. Hot, filling and absolutely delicious! Tastefully prepared with pep, not bland and not boring either. Prices absolutely within reason: Children's dish rice pudding approx 7-8€. Fish & chips with two kinds of homemade sauces and cucumber salad about €22. Fischerhus pan, a hit for 30 years - €26.50. Variety and taste 🥰. We will definitely come back on our next holiday on the Baltic Sea 😉.

Visit on Friday, 4 people, 4 fish plates for over 25 euros. Let's start with the fried potatoes, they don't deserve the name. They had only seen the pan briefly, if at all. Savoy cabbage as a vegetable was hard and the sauce was like water and spread all over the pan, including the fried potatoes. Now the most important thing, 4 fish fillets. The fillets were not only very tiny but also fried at least 1 hour before serving. The visit was a complete failure. The Fischerhus no longer sees us.

We were very happy there, but yesterday we were checked in and there was no free table, even though many tables were free. Where there is a will there is a way.

Nice place, quaint, a bit "lots" of knick-knacks. Food okay, the game dish with the noodles is not recommended. Lots of pasta, little meat and the sauce was rather inappropriate, especially since everything on the plate was presented the same way. The herring dish (6 different ones), served with "actually" fried potatoes, but you can also choose any other side dish, unfortunately lacked a "connection", too much raw pickled fish. The redfish fillet fried in an egg shell was okay, but just okay. All in all, we lacked the “actual flash” in every dish. The quaint staff were very funny, even with the dogs, there was always a treat.

The food was great and the service was great. Only with reservation. As long as you don't have to use the sanitary facilities, great. We didn't have any appetite after that. Public toilets were cleaner here in Glowe. That makes you wonder what the kitchen looks like. The stars are deducted because of the unusable toilets. Juicy prices.

A very nice fish restaurant. The ambience was very nicely designed. There were many accessories hanging on the walls that had to do with shipping and fishing. The service was excellent and the food and drinks came very quickly. The food was very tasty. We had fried sprats as a starter. For the main course we had the fish platter, a plaice fillet and fish and chips. This was all very tasty. The restaurant is dog friendly. The restaurant also had a very pleasant atmosphere.

Very nice if you rely on the homepage and can read there that it is open every day from 12:00 p.m. and that you can get here by car. Even in front of the restaurant there is a sign that says "Open daily" but the restaurant is closed (12:15 p.m.). I'm very disappointed (and I wasn't the only surprised "guest" in front of the restaurant).

Unfortunately we cannot rate it. We had reserved a table for this evening, unfortunately we were faced with closed doors, supposedly closed for technical reasons. GREAT, no call, no email with a short info that it's closed.... Well, the competition liked it.

Disappointing experience at Fischerhus Glowe Our expectations for Fischerhus Glowe were high, especially given the prices, but unfortunately they were completely disappointed. The price-performance ratio is absolutely not right here. For a portion of fish that costs around €25, we would have expected much more. The fish was dry and the portion was way too small. The service was particularly disappointing. When we expressed our criticism, it was not addressed at all. Instead, we were treated rather dismissively, which made the entire experience even more unpleasant. Overall, we unfortunately cannot recommend Fischerhus Glowe. It's a shame about the time and money.

Please do not order the offerings from the lunch menu. The crispy fish is industrially prefabricated. The breading is barely edible. Fish & chips quite a small portion. Here too, prefabricated fish balls, like in our company canteen. I recommend that the restaurant take this out of the program again. At the end of the season the service seemed quite tired and listless. Picture, the breading of the crispy fish.

Make an appointment! (Believe me!) We were lucky. It was wonderful. And delicious! You are not alone in your search!

When we are on vacation in Glowe, the Fischerhus is always a "must" - delicious food, great fish, nice staff and the furnishings are simply very comfortable.

Today at 4 p.m....the two of us wanted to eat something...the statement "THE KITCHEN WILL TAKE A BREAK, MAYBE EATING IS POSSIBLE IN 30-45 MINUTES" even though guests were sitting in the restaurant Then you should declare it that way online Or simply say you don't feel like it NOT RECOMMENDED AND NOT EVEN WORTH 1 STAR

The food was super tasty, great value for money! The service was courteous and friendly, and the service was generally top! Unfortunately it was very warm in the restaurant itself and the terrace didn't open until later. Overall, a great restaurant that we definitely recommend.

The service friendly and quick. The food was horrible. Simply reheated, fried potatoes mushy, relatively tasteless, unseasoned, no bacon or onions. The fish was lukewarm and not fried on the skin, the fish skin was limp. I didn't like the savoy cabbage. And expensive compared to the region. This means that the price-performance ratio is very poor. There is no risk of recurrence.

Exactly what you hope for when you're on holiday on the Baltic Sea and want to eat really tasty fish. A rustic restaurant with super friendly and attentive staff. The food is prepared with a lot of love, which you can see and taste. Please keep it up!!! I would recommend the Fischerhus without reservation.
